Broken record - Stun kills Neo

Tbh I think lemon is easier to come back from than a stunlock, stunlock is nearly impossible unless you have houdini and/or jawshank nearby, and they only save one

Doesn’t matter if you get stunlocked when 3/4 of your mons are APs or DRs, just sayin

It’s like that they said lemon easy to come back from but being stun locked , you’re basically stuck and watching your opponent rip you apart . That is frustrating I have teams I’ve created that I can’t get use because of stun

Hey @Dev_VKC @Dev_BRD This thread has been open for 2 days now. I used quite strong wording in the lead up to my poll and 80% of people agree. It would be great if you guys could into this. Nobody wants stun removed entirely. We all recognise it’s a necessary part of the game, but if you could do something to lower the dependence on immunity and stun protection, that would be amazing. Thanks for reading!

This doesn’t mean anything. I run a stun team with a 75% win rate.and your win rate is much higher than this.
If you think they are strong.try running a stun team.

I did for a long time Laxus. Cyber, Angel, Nova, cobra a few years ago. But I change my team every season because I love team building and I like to keep it fresh.

It’s not about beeing too strong. It’s about limiting team diversity for everyone else.

Exactly that. I think enough has been said now. Fingers crossed the Devs can balance it in the right way

I would like to throw an idea into the room.
Most likely will never happen because of coding issues but still - some sort of Stun Immunity buff after a monster has been hit by a stun for (X) seconds only in PvP.
Stun would still be strong but can’t just outright blow you out of the game with a shocking entrance into a stunlock.

I don’t think that would be hard to code. It’s the equivalent of adding stealth to a monster right? Have a lightning symbol / icon where hg etc does and then the monster has stun immunity until it’s next turn.

Stun guard does something like that… We just need team stun guard !
Apply on all 4 allies with 150 tu or something

I agree but I’m worried that if they do something like that, it will be on one monster, probably a Myth and then we have the same problem

This might just be the best idea proposed so far. I think the devs should build on this.

I just realized that I will never see bulbies passive work because:

  1. Stun is a strategy for people who don’t have team building skills and I refuse to run it
  2. I prob won’t buy bulbie

Imo the problem of stun is how the stunners are designed.
Most stunners can do the whole thing alone.
It’s a low risk high reward strategy.
Like cyber/nova/raizen
None of them need any real assistance or advantage from the over all formation.
They do the whole thing alone.
Which is not the case for poison and sleep.
Make stun a skill based strategy
Not something as brainded as current stun teams

I love everything about this thread. It’s spot on. Stun needs to die so neo can live.

In all honesty:

Stun would already lose quite a bit of its effectiveness if Novadrake wouldn’t have a stunning move and a higher TU moveset in general.

Second: It’s mind blowing how easy it is to remove stun protection. Imo Aetheron is the only really viable stun protection rn. My prime example of an absolute waste of a stun protection is onyxia. It’s awful. It’s nothing more than a big target that will backfire when it actually has the passive that is meant to counter stun the hardest. Actually the stun counters (except sakura) are totally helpless against the sheer amount of fire power of all the monsters with killer moves. Sakura on the other hand is a good example of how stun counters should actually be designed: Tanky. Same goes for Aetheron. If the stun counter be removed with one chrono killer or times up it’s not a real stun protection anymore.

Also the addition of super low TU sweeping monsters like Cynthia made things significantly worse because low TU sweeping is what adds the true effectiveness to stun setups.
