I don’t agree with a lot of the complaining, at least without some kind of constructive criticism attached to it but I can understand some of the frustrations, and I think regular updates from the developers would solve a lot of the problems.
I work in programming myself, albeit a different field, but the principle is the same. Not giving my clients regular updates just sounds ludicrous and would lose me a lot of business as well as result in some very unhappy clients.
True, bugs come up and can drastically change the time it takes to complete a project, but that’s where communication comes into play. A simple weekly update would suffice, even if it’s just to say things are going as expected, or things have come up that mean the update is going to be delayed by a few weeks or so.
The recent update we had from the developers was a massive step in the right direction, but I’d like to see it continue.
There’s an online game I play that is a great example of how communication from the devs can really make or break a game. The game must be about 10 years old by now and up until it got bought by new developers was thriving. The new developers didn’t give any communication over updates or as to where the game was heading etc and over a period of a few months or so, it (relatively speaking) died out. They seem to have learned from their mistakes and it’s been picking up again over the last few months or so since they started taking notice of the complaints on the forums and actually responding with updates now and then.
At this point I have settled into the mode that assumes the update will never come. I was holding off upgrading my B stego to an S because I though he would be nerfed. I have decided to upgrade it and enjoy it as long as possible. It is a great game despite the problems and why not enjoy it for what it is. I stopped worrying about loses in pvp. They are currently not important. The only thing that still annoys me is waiting for a stego/charc team to finish their turn.
The number of stego/charc teams have gone down dramatically. In the past 100 battles I’ve done, less than 5 were stego/charcs.
Besides, just scramble or knockback and watch them ragequit.
Templar - nothing is certain. I could say that I will turn my assignment in tomorrow, but then go into a coma. Regardless, there’s no point in complaining.
bvs - minomonsters, bro. They said that the update would come out in december. It’s february, and they say “a few weeks, now!”
Point is, updates take a while. I’m sure that there are also many issues that weren’t anticipated.
Yes i know what there doing. However the smart thing would have been to post those quick fixes they supposedly made in december anyway so people could play pvp without the major glitches. The little things woukd keep people happy
Even if the game isnt fun anymore it was AMAZING! To say .99$ was cheap is a understatement, it was a STEAL in my opinion, because this is almost as good a pokemon game for a teeny tiny fraction of the price, and honestly i like that we have devs who listen and a community, because pokemon forums have millions of members, you really think that those people can read all 10 thousand topics? No so your topic may get ignored and stuff and gamefreak, they cant listen to 5m suggestions and emails about their games, so i think its nice to have our little community here where we all know each other and stuffz
