Wrap up Seasons 49 and 50: A few balance suggestions.

I’ll be honest, this was the easiest top 3 I’ve ever gotten. In fact, I was 40-2 going on track to get 1st until I quadrupled my losses on the second day because I played stupid and got pretty unlucky at times. The mythics helped a lot, but rhinoel and malwing made all the difference. Most teams I faced barely reached my endgame because their team was clogged with boxchomps they couldn’t explode without killing a huge chunk of their team, sleepy and stunned with nothing they could do, or both at the same time.

Of the teams that were able to beat me, a large majority of them were mentioned on this thread. That means you need to run some really broken strats if you want to compete in this meta or else you’ll be stuck trying to kill all the high defense sweepers to no avail or maybe you won’t be able to do anything at all because your team is clogged with deadweight.

i rarely post because i know everyone will stick to their agenda and most likely think for their own benefit.
but i think it’s good when people have different opinion and stick with it.
including myself for my own benefit still think cynthia is the most broken mythic and need to be tweaked.
no weakness, low TU critical move, repulse, instant purify
and why till this day, purify won’t purify mark status…

I’m not your guy, neither was it necessary to say your rank points, please calm the hormones. I only gave my opinion. I also hope to see myself on that list one day

I think you need to be delusional to think Carmilla is balanced. She has one of the strongest kits that has ever been created in this game.

I will make sure to calm my hormones, thank you for being worried about my health

Being weak to piercing is my favorite

Idk, being weak to Aviaeronix comes close too, as if poor Avia could reliably hit her through all the protection she’s behind.

I feel like we’re arguing over something that Devs cause by not thinking through or testing a monster before releasing. I will only defend the monsters that I worked so hard to get, that is my position

double standard aside, I respect the honesty.

I forgot one Thing: Stun

The stun nerf has not changed anything, despite outlining how completely broken Tranqulising Entrance is. I think the stun pulse nerf should be reverted an we should finally target the one thing thats been the problem all along: Stunning entrance

Really great discussion and ideas in this thread!

Carmilla
I agree with Sherlock. The idea I wrote in this heart burst thread today I think would be ideal… keeping her very strong but slowing the healing (that’s the most important bit to change) and, situationally, the first killing move.

Maeve
I think Sherlock explains it beautifully. She needs nerfing a bit more. All she got was a tiny speed nerf and it didn’t really affect much. Lower the speed, restrict the SS (time from start of battle, first turn or only shield flutters) and/or nerf nullifying strike (lower damage a little bit overall or just for non-revenge monsters).

Myst
I’ve had various thoughts about this over time but since the Poseidon nerf it’s now clearly Myst which needs the tweak and then we’re all good. Adding raw to solo sneak attack would fix the problem perfectly.

Tokens
Here’s where I differ… I think basically all token disruption is fine now. We even have a lot of monsters that can kill teammates now, so I think as time passed we won’t see them as a problem. The change to Boxchomp recently also means it’s very easy to make them die to stun, so the Rhinoël user can’t use stun in their team if they want the full benefit. That said…

  • Rhinoël is extremely strong and probably should be nerfed a bit (both Boxchomps appears randomly, rather than one always next in line?).
  • Lunactia should have a speed nerf or put a restriction on enemy substitute where it cannot be used if the opponent has a rockoid on the battlefield.

Tranquilizing entrance
This really does need looking into properly. It swings matches like crazy, especially because it’s put on monsters with good movesets. Making the stun aspect less effective would be my choice.

it’s true bro, it’s one of the most interesting threads I’ve read and everything you said is true it’s really frustrating I faced several times fd Maëva and carmilla in front line and my poor mantisamurai who got nerfed can’t even help me it’s sad:pensive::pensive:

Nah, I used malwing right after rhinoel and it was awesome. It would be much better to make the boxchomps deal half (or maybe even less) of the damage they currently do.

this is perfect for her if she has to be nerfed. anything else would be overkill imo.
a speed nerf would kill her entirely. can’t believe you’re suggesting it on a mid-speed monster.

got to say how amusing i find it that basically this thread wants to nerf half of my frontline. didn’t realise i was such a threat.

also surprised nobody has mentioned sakuralisk and its insane passive.

Eklypz I know the pain of getting precious monsters nerfed. Ask the class of PvP freaks, like @Unown @LemonSqueezy @GMagic @NMEduck or myself, we have all been there several times. But trust me: This really isnt about your frontline. Up until two minutes ago I didnt even know you play PvP. I always had you as a PvE Guy in my books.

In terms of Carmilla: She really offers way too much. Especially the healing part puts her over the top though. Its such a pain to get her health down low enough so you can actually kill her and then all it takes is a laughable 50 TU move to heal her back up. And she doesnt even need a target with lot of HP. Thats kind of ridiculous.

Luna: I didnt list luna but I always hated her for the reasons unown listed. The unconditional ability to just spam the enemy full of rocks really seems a bit excessive. Its easy to abuse and I agree with lemon here. We are approaching the point where something needs to be done about Rock lock

Maeve nerf wasn’t a nerf. It was a speed reduce which meant her other stats were boosted and now she won’t die from the true hit - so now can be once again safe behind as many ap as you want. And who thought of giving it 1tu shield all without any battle time restricition???

Any double sided boosts should be reduced to what dolphins were changed to (the same goes for Shika which is now a 6-star mythic).

St. Togala crying in corner with his 250tu shield all that also needs charge before using, making it a 300-380tu shield all :joy:

It’s actually very fast for a monster with a move like enemy substitute. The amount that can shut down in the enemy team, the general slowing and how it sets up true hit or other stuff is a big red flag move to me that should make the monster 30-40% speed. Generally speaking, moves that can put you in a very controlling advantage position (e.g. guaranteed kills, sleep, double repulse) mean the monster goes down to 40% speed or below. I was amazed to see Lunactia over 50% with a move like that when I first saw her!

I agree a speed nerf would weaken her a lot. I’d rather see the enemy substitute spam restriction.

He is the strongest mythic in the game by far
