⏬ Which monsters need a Nerf?

Ankou is underpowered. You basically have to play it in FL to make it any kind of a threat. Then you usually want to have either Auro or Atra to revive it. You have to mess up really badly to have many of full HP Ankous at the end of a team and it would be an achievement to be “Ankou locked” in PvP. In PvE it’s very fun to make 5 Ankous and watch AI struggle to kill them but even that is pretty hard to achieve.

Auto poison takes care of all the 1 hp copies made by Auro. Void moves that negate its defense are becoming more and more abundant. A sleeping Ankou can’t do anything and will just die. Also, Eternal Revenge is not a targetable skill and oftentimes hits the “wrong” monster with Payback Revenge or Petrify Revenge etc.

This monster has more counters than it has targets.

Let’s say I play against link shadow ,I kill it once(let’s suppose I don’t have repulse), and artha gets one more with revive, now if I don’t have poison(which fl don’t usually have as they have decent chance to get countered), I end up facing 2 drags that’ll keep randomly appearing till the end and have change to crit me the moment they get to hit. I’d guess you’ve been in this game for long and have all the monsters, how many void moves monster do you use?(I’d guess only that mountain dragon) Or how many monsters of yours have payback revenge(. I’d guess like 1-2 max) I don’t think a situational conditions should be counted as counters.(To reiterate I don’t want anyone to nerf anku, just want him to not get revived by other monster’s skills)

He old or he dead at the end?

Anyways I don’t think you’re wrong or I’m right, just wanted to get this to devs

I mean it follows him through school age 11-17 then the story ends shortly before his 18th birthday

Forgot to mention also moves that sacrifice the monster you’re using will also cancel the revenge, such as Doomengine’s twin bomb.

Just keep playing and you’ll understand that it’s easy to deal with Ankou. No comments from devs are needed on this topic.

That is huge nerf for a pve mon :skull:

He literally gets countered by everything. If there is an auro/atra on field, they are priority targets above ankou XD.

Beating ankou is not about having the right team, but making the right decisions during a match.

Ofc I don’t want comments from devs, just wanted them to SEE this, plus most here think everything’s balanced so there’s always like 3-4 ppl disagreeing with every buff idea, but we still see buffs and nerfs, (plus their have been ideas about many buffs/nerfs a considerable ppl here have agreed upon but they aren’t seen in the game, which may show how our observation may/may not aline with data) devs has the data, so they’ll make the decision better(plus as I just said before I think it’s just about the correct application of the skill revival, which says the monster can’t be revived if it already has been)

Can’t that be said about every monster? No monster how op it might be in meta is uncounterable, but they still get buff and nerds, plus I’m getting tired of discussing like 3-4 ppl at the same time💀 so I rest my case, maybe they will change maybe they won’t at the end of the day I don’t want to argue ppl over a game (which has no real world applications)lol

It’s just active vs passive skill. If the passive has triggered, the active skill can still be used by one monster with a revival skill. Ankou’s passive also states that it’s reborn, not revived. You just have misunderstood the wording and how passive and active skills work.

WOW! THANKS I couldn’t read :joy:(I’m talking about the principle not the wording mate)

Well you misunderstood the principle too

Umm…I don’t think so? But let’s leave it now, at the end of the day it’s just a moving pic on a mobile screen

Gotta admire the stubbornness :man_shrugging:

It’d be a shame if I didn’t learn anything from the forum🫡

Lmao

Hey, I appreciate your concern with Ankoudragon and how your proposed tweak addresses the problem you have with it. However, as everyone says, the monster is not a strong one for PvP. There are certain monsters in the game which prey upon players who don’t have strong teams yet. They can appear overpowered or very difficult to handle, then 6-12 months later those players will be laughing at the fact they ever thought that monster was a problem. Ankoudragon is one of these.

As you say, guardian execute → bloodcrave feels very punishing when you run a protector. However, that’s literally its design to counter protectors. The player has to build a link shadow team in order to run it plus it’s very slow to make any impact in the FL (which is where they have to play it) apart from the cases it meets a protector. As the person facing it, one of the easiest ways to handle it is to put it onto low HP with an attack so it dies off to its own bloodcrave. If the play pattern with Atrahasis necromancy is causing you big problems, I recommend killing the Atra first. Literally the worst thing you can do is let the opponent get multiple copies of Ankou in their team. You might feel like you need to remove them now, but you’ll get punished harder for it later. So it’s best to accept you might lose 2-3 monsters now because you were countered by guardian execute but play to win the long game.

I hope this helps both with your matches where you meet it and with your overall perspective.
