Seems op to be honest

Lets breakdown the skills

The secret skill will target epics at 8 cost
Even onslaught is the worst skill
Odd breaker will be used on legendaries with 16 cost and mythics
Prime rampage on mythics with 14 cost
And square will kill all the se

Looking at the options you are almost guaranteed a kill and with the defense boost and hg with no weakness this monster is super op and will likely get nerfed

Am assuming that it works like this, 15 cost + whatever

I’m pretty sure it’s based on the total number of monsters in play, not cost (at least I think that’s how it works from testing in super challenge). It’s a cool concept but awkward to use and I don’t think you can easily manipulate it, especially in PVP.

Fun monster, but I definitely don’t think it’s op. Maybe some fun PVE strategies you could pull off though. Maybe pair with moku or something else that can add/remove monsters quickly?

Edit: They may also want to update the in-game description of how it works to make it more clear. “Sum of monsters” doesn’t clearly explain anything.

Vague wording on the skills. It means the total number of monsters on the battlefield, including reinforcements.

Don’t even think about using even onslaught. Odd breaker is pretty self-explanatory and deals roughly 3.7k damage. The real deal is prime rampage, square erase, and fib, and they’re completely insane.

Here’s the number sequence for each of her moves, up to 50 monsters:

Prime number sequence:
2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, 41, 43, 47

Square number sequence:
1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49

Fibonacci sequence:
1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55

Add them together we get:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13, 16, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 29, 31, 34, 36, 37, 41, 43, 47, 49, 55
without the ss we get:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 16, 17, 19, 23, 25, 29, 31, 36, 37, 41, 43, 47, 49

That’s surprisingly very consistent. Around 50% of the time we can rely on one of these three moves. Prime and square both do around ~8k and fib can reach ~10k easily.

The caveat? All of these skills are condition locked(can’t use at all if the condition isn’t met). Thankfully you can skip in pve, but in pvp you may be forced to use the 160tu move. At least it heals, which synergizes with it’s hg and vigorous stance. Oh god it’s got vigorous stance. Oh god it’s got no killer weaknesses.

TLDR: Very powerful monster. Low tu piercing combined with high defense makes it extremely potent. Only thing holding it back is the 160tu move and no immunities.

How about making this one mythic,
and swapping the mythic of this banner to legendary?
I am quite sure lot of people will appreciate her as the mythic waifu?

I believe all the monsters including the reinforcement, so its a rng thing now and will work 50% of the time

But if the stars align you could get a double kill fairly easily

It has a weakness , it’s humanoid. That’s very problematic in present meta.

It can be easily manipulated to be honest if you are in the lead and have fast sweepers and it works well with tokens.

From my initial understanding its definitely a S tier

I think I’m interpreting it differently to some players, because the wording says ‘both’ monsters, meaning only the user and the target monster are relevant and the other monsters on the field or the reinforcements don’t matter.

This means it can only apply to one of 2 things

  • number of stars
  • cost of both monsters

Be interested to see. I haven’t tried it in super challenge though, but if it includes other monsters then the wording should be changed to make it clearer.

The text definitely needs to be clearer. It’s the total number of monsters in both teams.

@Erb Thanks for doing the breakdown, feels nice not being the guy to do it for once!

Unfortunately, this monster is pretty terrible. I also really don’t like its mathematical design. It’s way too complicated to be counting the numbers and planning so carefully ahead! Luckily you can click to use the move and it will say the numbers, but still that’s an extra layer to be thinking about.

Here are my issues with the moveset:

  • Fibonnaci, square and prime are pretty much all odd numbers, meaning the monster can only attack half the time without careful manipulation.

  • If you use fibonnaci on 13 or 21 (most likely numbers) then it’s immediately an even number, meaning you have to waste 160TU or skip turn which defeats the point of being instant. The only scenario it’s definitely good is at 34, which you can maybe get at the start of a battle.

  • Fibonnaci, prime and square are too niche that it’s unlikely to line up so you’re mostly looking at odd breaker but the damage on that is too low to one-shot legendaries and mythics.

  • When it doesn’t line up, 160TU is a very long time to wait. It’s a big punishment and makes it very hit and miss.

The sweet spot is 7-17 monsters remaining where 7 of 11 of the numbers can be done with one of the one-shot moves. That makes Cyclophina best very near the end of a team. I can see her performing pretty well there, but it’s no guarantee.

2 things I can see being useful to get around this.

  1. deus X so you can just skip and not put yourself in this situation.

  2. like you said just use her later so you can fibbonachi into prime or square.

Ah yes, use a bad monster to make another bad monster playable. Always a good strategy :wink: I’m not convinced by Deus X for this because it mainly manipulates the total number of monsters by even values.

Yeah I noticed when I selected it lol. When I first saw the moveset I thought it was cool, but then I started thinking about it lots and lost my enthusiasm. The big disappointment for me is the odd breaker damage. I think that makes it struggle a lot. If that one-shot then I think it would be a great monster that would see some play (but still probably not lots).
