This game has died out

Calm down, calm down

Nobody is perfect

Like I said, let’s help make them better developers by reminding them that this forum needs some love occasionally but remind them Kindly

The thing is they did made a post giving us information on whats happening and i think a lot of people missed it its right here

haha DP… I’m calm now… not yet mad… Maybe I’m just too harsh & direct with my opinion…

@Rex

Seen it before… Even liked it… But that was announcement 20 days ago… Since then, people started concluding that they are abandoning this game or planning to soon & focusing solely on the new games…

very disappointing if that was the case…

Hopefully it still isn’t!!

I feel like I’m repeating myself, but I think the presence of devs will be sufficient enough to keep people satisfied for the time being. And Ryan just posted another announcement, so.

We are not abandoning the update!

That’s good enough for me!

I’m on the side of the players with this one. No matter what, there’s no justification for not having consistent updates every day, or every few days. One update every month might not be the best way to do it.

Of course you guys won’t abandon this update - this bug fix / hacker removal update. But if you ask me, the future for the game is looking pretty poor. And that’s why players are upset.

Few people like to play games that get discontinued so soon after starting, with only one content update (or, in the case of Hunter Island, one ‘fix the broken stuff’ update) and then that’s it.

I completely agree with you Ashley, but I’m trusting that the devs will be more active soon. From what I understood, it was somewhat implied.

I remember when games were this long and didn’t update… Shows how times have changed… Also I remember when people would wait patiently instead of pointlessly badgering the devs…

I think one of the reasons is that HI is sort of a multiplayer game. I’m sure there wouldn’t be THIS much fuss over a single player game.

Update every day or ever few days? how much content do you think a group of 4 admins are able to do ? it’s not very possible to keep updates coming that frequent. Also theres the apple wait time for content confirmation. I don’t even know a single game that has updates that frequent let alone a group of 4 developers being able to manage that…

I think Ashley means updating on the forum. And she is right, no excuse for slacking on that.

But you’re making the attempt to fix it

That’s what counts and its good enough for me

I imagine she’s talking about the devs’ in maybe chat or something, or perhaps a new thread for announcements. Just posting whenever they hit a milestone. “Completed egg timing issue today” and then maybe a week later “1/4 done with coding!” and then “new team members!”

Or something. Every days does sound like stretch, I agree, but every few months is a stretch too.

And, I was ninja’d by Ryan, but I’m posting this anyway.

+1.

All I was speaking about was informing the players about what’s going on. I know that to be one of the most important things you can do as a game developer. It really makes a game way more successful if developers are active with the community.

Good to hear things are improving.

Yeah…eating might be important, just maybe though.

Pfffft… Eating… I just realized that I can see my ribs… I need to eat more… :stuck_out_tongue:

I usually work as I eat (bad manners!) so not that much different  Except of course foruming can get fun and extend over the lunch break like how im doing right now.
