hi,ive tried this and it works to a fashion. I found that if you fight a few battles against some of the rare monsters first then that along with the escape method works fastest. I managed to get all the 4 dragons in a few minutes after fighting omega’s etc and using the escape method.
Thanks for the method and hope this all helps others as farming can be frustrating.

Hi, what i do is this:
I fight a few pvp battles or go into the infinite dungeon and fight a few battles so i can see some rare monsters ( the wyrms,barricudus etc). then i go to the spot i want , say the 3rd one from agrimis . With mettalo in my party and two other low monsters i keep starting a battle and escaping. I have used this to catch the dragons so i can get omegawyrm. these took at most 10mins each using this method.

I am about to give up. I feel like I am the unluckiest person here. I am not joking, I have spent 3-4 total non stop hours every day for the past 2 weeks and have not seen a single hatchling. So we are talking 50+ hour of non stop farming the same 4 spots or the hatchlings. I feel like an idiot for wasting so much time and have nothi to show for it lol. Am I seriously THIS unlucky? Where is the counter I heard about?
I use metallodious for quick attempts as described. I also tried the fighting rare monster first a described. I haven’t even SEEN a hatchling lol. At this point I won’t even be happy I got the stupid thing, I just want a hatchling ou of principal at this point. I surely have surpassed the fail luck counter limit I have engaged thousands of battles.
There must be something I’m doing wrong lol
Who did some of you have as your ark lineup when the hatch was found? Other than metallodious.
I don’t think it’s known whether the metalodius method still uses the counter or if you have to fight to get the counter.

Yea, I have no idea if it resets the counter (I don’t think it’s been mentioned here how the counter works), but I 5/8 with this method literally 10-15x as fast as the other 3
I was first using metallo and two orblings, but my luck was complete trash! i mean horrible. so i threw in a miniceros and a sanders instead, found the dang snorkling in like 30 minutes.
So my Metallodious is lvl 40 (had to get him that high to evolve). I’m running up and down the steps north of Agramis and nothing is spawning/attacking me. Even with 2 lvl 1 monsters in my first 3.
What am I doing wrong?
You have to tap the spot to launch a battle 
What is this ‘counter’ you mention, may I ask?
theres supposed to be a “bad luck fail safe”? where after 2000 monsters a hatchling spawns. it’s unknown whether you have to kill the monster though, which would make the metalodius method skip the counter.
Is that confirmed by devs or just rumour?
It’s an info that comes from the devs.
However we only know it exists not really how it works
