I farmed 500 gems like you guys asked, can i finally spend them? i was so tempted by the birthday banners and i didn’t spend a single gem.

Then your work would have been for nothing. You basically now have 0 gems because 500 is your new zero. You need to wait for a shrine because it will give you at least 120 free gems every time!

Probably in a week or so. Don’t worry, most people are now in the same boat after spending all excess gems on the anniversary banners! Also, make sure to have at least 1000 gems ready for next year’s anniversary since the 1200 gem shrine will probably come back again!

Idk how old is your account but for older players, its wiser to save up for the full year untill next year’s anni. We get gauranteed mythics in 10 packs for each banner.
But yeah, if you got a new account, wait for the new shrine till you spend your gems.
It will be worth it, trust me.
There are 1 to 2 shrines per month. Each shrine will net you 150 to 400 free gems instantly.
You now have $80 to $100 worth of gems for free, every month, forever.
(As long as you never dip below 500 gems ever again!)
Not advised until you have a big roster of S+ legends. That one awakened mythic is not worth it if it’s got no support or other team members!
I’d say wait a year or so into shrine-spending gems before you go hard up on gem hoarding for an awakened myth.

Each shrine gets you ~200 gems on average, there like 16(?) shrines per year. That’s about 2500 gems, which is the average amount needed to awaken 1 mythic.
You might be able to get 2 if you include the anniversary mythic, but 5 is … Not happening.
You also get a further:
- 107 gems from pvp/month (as f2p)
- 6 gems every 2 weeks from biweekly
- 4 gems every week from scb
- 20 gems every hundred days for logging in on cumulative login bonus
- 2 gems from daily quests
- Login bonuses 12 gems per month
- Event login bonuses ±>10 - 20 every month or so
- Anniversary login 200
Total: ±2930 gems in a year just by playing normally every day
And that doesn’t even include event rewards or bond quests, which drop 100s of gems on their own.
Also not effected by shrine either.
Edit: I literally have a baby account that manages all that with a limited collection.
- I think your approximation of 200 is pretty low. I think a closer figure would be 250-300.
- Then assuming that there are only 16 shrines 4000 gems (200*16=3200 no?)
- +The added 2930 gives you a total of ~6930 gems.
If you only hatch in annis then you would get on avg 4 mythics. If you have above avg luck then 5.
Exactly, my luck this year was bad, but still. 4 mythics awakened at any point is great.

Or wait for next festival banner to have higher chances.
Selene, Lunactia and Revanceon are 3 fantastic monsters though.
People sharing some slightly wrong/incomplete numbers here so I just want to correct them for anyone reading…
Shrine average gems = 225
We get roughly 16 a year = ~3600 gems
Gems per month from free play = 408
Therefore free gems per year = 3600 + 408 * 12 = ~8500 gems
There’s also the anniversary each year which gives us an extra generous login and bigger fortune shrine, plus typically January has a special PvP season with bonus gems. That probably makes the grand total something like 9000 gems.
Full breakdown of gems from free play (per month):
112 from PvP [60 + (67-20) + ~5]
25 from PvP daily gem
11 from Biweekly [5 / 14 * 30.5]
17 from SCB [4 / 7 * 30.5]
61 from Daily missions [2 * 30.5]
13 from Standard login bonus [12 / 28 * 30.5]
6 from Cumulative login bonus [20 / 100 * 30.5]
44 from Featured monster login bonus [10 / 7 * 30.5] - these seem to be regular now
64 from Limited-time events [4 * 16] - varies each month so a simplification here, balancion’s is 10 gems and comes regularly while others are 16-20, ST 33 and UC 55-60.
30 from MBQ [~1.5 * legendary MBQ]
25 from Event achievements [SCB+biweekly+crown+moalith+limited events]
I don’t think I missed anything, but let me know if I did! Obviously this is assuming you complete everything.

You think i should hatch in this banner ? i can do 3 multi hatch before hitting 500.
It’s about luck, if you get any of this 3 monsters, you’ll be happy.
Sometimes you don’t get any.
3 packs are not much. Be sure to not get too low, I would say don’t go below 450 to have enough for next shrine.
You can always open later too, many great monsters to get. Penguinator, Novadrake, Moku, Skýherra, you’ll get good monsters slowly
