Completely untrue, your original account was banned: My Voidress is invalid?? - #66 by Dev_VKC
I missed out on this by not being active on the forum the last few days! I’ve always been extremely open about things. I didn’t spend until the first paid egg for a guaranteed mythic. I’ve bought gems to buy every one of those, nothing more. I’ve always been very open to spending but only if I feel my money will give a worthwhile benefit. I’ve also received gems from writing monster analysis, but that is a very small part of all the gems I’ve gained from grinding everything in the game.
I recently figured out how many free gems players can get at the moment. I recommend everyone takes a peak, it’s a very good amount and easily explains how I’ve built my collection (and I hope others have too): So... I finally got 500 gems, what now...? - #17 by Killerdog
So I’m not F2P, I’m grind to win and my account is basically the peak of what F2P could have achieved if playing since the start (my poor shrine luck pretty much balances out the extra gems I’ve gotten).
It took me a couple of years of playing to reach a point where my account felt more like the P2W accounts. I was still noticeably behind the top, but far ahead of most players. When mythics got stronger and had been out for a long time I felt the P2W pull away again, but after ~2 years of the shrine I was back on their heels and felt REALLY far away from the rest of the player base. In the last 1 year I’ve noticed many more people starting to catch up as they’re starting to have enough of the top mythics awakened.
The whole F2P discussion is silly, but I find it interesting where F2P, medium spenders and P2W players have stood in terms of how competitive they can be at different stages of the game, which is why I write stuff like I just did here. I feel I’ve been lucky to be at the threshold of the top of F2P with my account so have seen exactly where each group stands over the ages.
