It wasnāt a comparisonā¦? An example of how big changes need to be known in advance so that players can adjust.
It would be unfair to spend your gold on cards that become irrelevant tomorrow if it wasnāt communicated.
Thatās what happened with the Neo update. People lost bonus seconds on their monsters which set them back quite considerably but nothing was communicated.

I think we as a community donāt do a great job of having a sense of humor. It was pretty clearly a joke, and Sherlock recognized that.
I wish more people would read posts that are clearly a joke and think āHa, that was kinda funny.ā Or āHm. Not his best work.ā

Ok, to get back on topic with this, I am still not ok with this new system not having any additional compensation/change for us as a playerbase in a positive manner. Yes, I understand supporting the whales, I dont really care about that. There needs to be some support for your long term players as well, not just the new players that see the Hentai art for the new Mythics and decide to drop a bunch of money to get a waifu on their team. The devs could easily bring back the option for select festivals that 40 paid gems guarantee you one mythic in that pack and only once per those festivals. Right there you WILL have players pay for gems to get a guaranteed result from it.
Iām not a conspiracy theorist, but given that the game can already determine whether paid gems or free gems are being used for eggs, one could jump to the assumption that odds are made higher for paid gems than free gems, but that the change hasnāt been announced yet.
All that more theoretical nonsense aside, the long term players and non-whales still deserve something for these changes. The division between F2P and P2W is becoming more vast with this change, regardless of the explanation given about making it a more competitive game. I enjoy this game thoroughly and am typically on board with alot of the changes made, but this is not one that is acceptable.
Does this mean I demand my legendary potions be reimbursed to me to distribute as I desire amongst my mons? Absolutely not. But I do expect some large changes in the number of potions we receive from events and for them to be more numerous.
As i mentioned earlier as well, the potion accrument/bonus for hatching a duplicate legend should be increased. Not to +3 like a mythic, but +2 for Legends and SEs would be a more fair tradeoff. As is now, you can hatch the same legend 3 times and have nothing to show for it until you hit it with a potion to make it +3, and thatās kind of trash where before hatching a dupe wasnt all that disappointing bc at least you were getting speed/TU reduction.
The update as a whole I am fine with, but the lack of care towards players and patrons of the game that have dutifully supported it for a good amount of their time, this is a legitimate slap in the face.

Lol āspendersā you mean people who dunk their credit card to the game? I also spend and I didnāt get single mythic awakened, let alone get two shards for any of the ones I own.
Also, donāt get me started with this āace monsterā none sense, this isnāt yugioh. What happens when you nerf our āace monsterā? Where is my 7+ pots that I wasted on canishogun? Where is my 9+ pots that I wasted on heavenwyrm when you made AP obsolete and lowered the damage for its survivor? (Although, it seems to have gone back to its original damage so I am happy about that)
This whole thing came because you wanted buff awakened mythics? Might as well give a 50% stat buff at the beginning of the game to your whales.

I was using him to counter fast fire monsters on the front. Now He is not used for that.
Very good point @NoelLemon2 If it is wanted to focus on ace monsters, real compensation is needed when monsters get nerfed
