Pay 2 Win

That’s what I’m saying.
Laugh all day with your 3 star monsters.
Train them all to 100 %

As I said I don’t share your feelings.

Now, I wouldn’t say that. I’d say that many, many people play to “catch 'em all”. If you’re going to make a game fundamentally inspired by Pokémon but fail to bring one of the crucial parts that made people love Pokémon, then you’re going to have a few problems with your customers.

By no means am I saying that they should clone Pokémon, either. I’m only suggesting that the notion of collecting all of the monsters should be an integral part of a game where you’re able to catch a large variety of monsters. It’s what many expect from a game like this.

Well thats a simple difference of opinion. Don’t need to be so hostile about it.

Now you have explained better your ideas.
Please be aware that we aren’t all anglophone here on the forum. Do you see that you can be nice too?
Speaking about your post, it’s not a bad idea but it would tear apart the community and it would be too much of a work. And this isn’t even the only problem.

I’m sure it will eventually be possible to “catch’em all”. Keep in mind this game has barely been out for a week. There’s a difference between being able to catch everything in one long grind session, and spacing it out over time. It is better for devs to put some time gates in so people dont fill their rosters and quit when there is nothing left to do but pvp.

Yes, you’re very correct. The only issue is the message they’ve given to their customers - not a positive one. I think the best thing they could do right now is communicate with the players about future plans. And I really mean it. As developers, the #1 thing you can do for your game is to be active with your players and tell them what’s up.

I can agree with that. Devs have been very quiet and this feels like an incomplete game at the moment. I usually abhor the so called “beta releases” of bigger game titles but this was only 99 cents and I have very much enjoyed it thus far.

Yes but a problem is that on the AppStore the banner says "Catch all the 900 monsters!"
and “60+ hours gameplay”.
Are they true? No? Is the game in a sort of beta? Maybe. Then write that the game isn’t complete on the AppStore or don’t let it out.
You can’t write false things and then don’t expect people that you let down to write bad comments about your game online.

That.

But I beat it a lot more, with sooo many different lineups, many of which involving only a couple clutch mobs. Mostly just whatever I get from egg rolls.

It’s beatable with that which they provide. For free. Takes time. Takes strategy.

It’s not supposed to be easy. And it’s not P2W either.

Granted,  I understand frustration. I get it. I’m a player too. I’ve started two games as a player since release. Two.

It can be frustrating, I’m sure. But this IS basically open beta. They even mentioned it in the PvP banner. Things are testing, and it’s a new company. And a small one.

People complain about a lack of ___ and a lack of _____. Well, keep in mind that we betas had to play through the game without any online missions. That means no youth fruit. No ultra evolution. No extra gems. Granted the circumstances were different…but the concept is the same. Content is made available that makes things seem better.

I’m sure there’s more to come. PvP probably has reward systems. Said reward systems probably make things easier for y’all. Imagine HunterIsland without the online missions, as lyrux said. It’d be very similar. Imagine HI without ID. less eggs. Totally P2W, right? Well no, you just gotta wait.

Have faith, guys. These cats run a good company, and do work hard. Moreso than the many other big-name companies’ games that I play.

Hunter island gave waaaaaaaay more eggs and premium currency even without infinite dungeon, albeit the first series of eggs had plenty of bad monsters

And yeah, ashley is right. Besides the extreme lack of the obvious and super slow tickets, youth fruits, blah blah blah, they haven’t even made a retort in the forum yet. And this is the most active part, where the most players and most feedback comes. It’s critical to further address what players dislike most, or at least explain your reason and come up with even a minor truce.

3 gems per island and league with youth fruit mission being reduced to 5-10 tickets would be good enough for me

PVP is not some magical fix-all, either

I highly doubt it’ll have big rewards until high tiers, and you can’t compete seriously there until you have a good team

Plus it’s not even out for non-betas yet, so that’s no excuse really

Yeah relying on death roulette to win is great strategic game design. Again, I’ll believe you when you make a non-gold egg team that can beat the game without having to retry the battle several times hoping to get lucky with your death roulette. That’s just poor game design.

From what you are describing, It’s not pay to win, it’s wait to win. That’s only slightly less worse and a huge step down from the previous island games. I want to be able play whenever I want. Candy crush is wait to win. I guess the devs sold out and wanted to match their money making strategy. They ruined the series but at least they are making more money right?

I hardly use death roulette at all. The death revenge on its own makes them amazing creatures. They can do damage while they live and soak up hits, along with a guaranteed kill when they die. They also synergize extremely well wih poison eaters, rhynobrawls poison bomb is also a viable answer to opponents who use sleep.

There are plenty of people who have posted above that have beaten the game multiple times with nothing higher than epics. It is 100% beatable with what is given to you for free.

Also the frustration I’m having isn’t that it’s too hard. Being able to beat the game isn’t the point. They drastically changed what made hunter and dragon island so great. Hunter island took what dragon island was and improved on every aspect. This game took hunter island and removed half of what was great about it. they added a model that punishes people who want to play.

Please make a video of you beating the game with all non-egg monsters. I want to see this in action because poison eater doesn’t do much when it takes 3 hits to kill a legendary who can while your whole team in two or 1 hit.

Why would I need to do that if everyone gets 6+ eggs from free gems? You honestly don’t think its possible to beat the game with 6 epics?

Who was here for the beginning of Hunter Island?

It was somewhat rough in the beginning then too. Pre-Guides. Pre-changes. Pre-everything.

This game is in that same stage. Give it room to grow. No need for the frustration.

The reason people like me get so frustrated and seem to dismiss all that ya say? Well…because we had the same thoughts. Exact same thoughts. But we beat the game. We enjoyed the game. And I can’t seem to drill into everyone’s head that this game is new, improving, and that content isn’t out yet!!!

In fact, I can’t convince anyone because y’all refuse to read, then say the same things!

Here’s the compilation of everything, which I will refer to later because this is ridiculous:

-We beat it back when there were no youth fruits. It was a bit easier, admittedly, but still. More content makes it easier. Things will be released. Make a judgement then.

-This is new. Heck it’s open beta (PvP), and more stories have been said to come!!! Understand that it’s rough to get the release up, EVERY GAME IS LIKE THIS!!! Summoners war, one of the most successful Com2us…no…one of the most successful games in the WORLD…rough start. Crashed constantly. Was horrible. Didja know that?

Have faith, this game has amazing potential.

-Monster limit? We already talked about it in beta. It’s hard for the servers to sustain that many monsters, hence the cap. They said they might consider options for storage in the future, way back when. But keep in mind - it’s difficult.

-Key regens? Already talked about. We get it. It’s hard. The cooldowns were changed probably upwards of a dozen times during beta. Who could possibly know the “right” cooldown? It’s impossible. They’re thinking right now. It’s a difficult decision, one that they have to deliberate a ton (which they ARE doing) to try and deal with it. Try to fill their shoes.

-Gems? PvP’s gonna be released. More story content to come.

Please people, have some faith. Understand that it’s not as bad as it seems, especially for a new game, and that we understand the problems but it’s harder to fix than you realize.

Because there are loads of 3 star monsters that are better than the ones you get from eggs.

Tell me what I can do with these monsters in a team to beat the game.

Mysticorn - has assisted skills and create duplicate. useless if you are putting together a team based on a skill set. Doesnt do enough damage without a full set of light monsters. Even with a full set, the damage isnt enough. pure damage isnt good enough for taking out the last few battles. You need poison eater/dreameater/protect killer/sleep killer, bloodcrave, etc

Anubis - Some weak light damage skills and give turn. Useless

Ninja Gale - Stealth and create duplicate. Useless

Cruiserfish - Auto protect and sleep bomb. Useless.

Bombspider - 400sec megabomb. semi useless.

I didnt get any big hitters. no bloodcrave. No poison eater. No poison givers. No death skills. No dream eater. Nothing worth using over the “good” 3 stars you find in the wild.

I’ll start by saying that there is no magic team that will win all the fights. What I will suggest to you is a number of combinations and tactics that I guarantee will improve your performance.

Cruiserfish- autoprotect is the best form of protect available because it is active without you having to use an action for it. Sleep bomb is key for setting up combos. Sleepbomb when your next drop is a purifier and suddenly you have a 4v1 for the next 4 rounds.

Anubis-give turn is simply amazing. Use him with chain horn(3 star with bloodcrave) and give him an extra chance to get a kill and get going. Keep him alive with healers and stun bombs.

I will admit you got a few useless epics that I don’t think are very good. I;'ve never been a fan of bomb since it is so dependent on who the AI targets, but I have used it to great effect a few times in combination with sleep bomb.

Important 3 stars- rosaqueen(dreamhunter), goldenhorn(survivor), thugfrom(400s bomb+enrage teammate), chainhorn(bloodcrave, accelerate), horus( sleepbomb/sleep all), infernowyrm(timestrike), leobolt(protect killer/accelerate)

important 2 stars- Voltiger(timestrike), rhinobrawl(death revenge, poison bomb, sendback AMAZING), stegospike (best catchable stun absorber, must have), helletaur (eat poison)

important 0-1 stars: volvoxon (risky heal), stormfox( accelerate+stunbomb), 1 star healers (quite a few of these), pufftoxin (same as rhinobrawl).

This is by no means a comprehensive list and i’m probably missing quite a few good catchables.

You will have to play your orders perfectly to win some of the harder fights if it’s even possible. Death revenge is best in either the beginning or the end of your lineup. If they open with sleep/protect killers, it might be a good idea to open with death revenge. Otherwise, use your protect creatures and healers to try and set up chainhorn for a bloodcrave sweep. any form of sleep if extremely good for bloodcrave setup. Make sure your rosaqueen drops after sleep bombs to take advantage of dreamhunt. Ultra evolve your starter and put him near the end next to a stun bomber. I’ve won a few close fights by getting off a stun bomb and using last stand 3-4 times. Volvoxon is very good for keeping blood craves alive. If your opponent is using poison, they are especially vulnerable to sleep bomb because your poison creatures won’t fall asleep.

Another key tactic is field management. If they put out a 3 star with only attack abilities and some boosts, DON’T KILL IT. That thing is blocking the spot for something much more dangerous. Once you play a fight a few times, you will get a sense of what they will drop and when, allowing you to adjust your own drop order to counter them. An example would be making sure your stun absorber drops before torus puts out his oniscar. I’m confident that you will be able to beat the current encounters with the right tactics and some more training.

To Developers,
An online mission similar to the one in HI with a guaranteed egg and increased chance of pulling the featured monster would really enhance the game. Also infinate dungeon.

Also 1 gem when beating champion league. Fuk of with that. Deserve at least 3 for getting so far without spending money

Tib , you list everything 'yeah we know this from beta…yes keys , yes youths , yes monster limit , yes hard , yes it’s new , yes it’s p2w , yes the 900 monsters will be available later on ? Yeh right , yes it’s has lots of bugs , … Let me add my list ultra evoulttion hmm , slow response team , eggs are expensive , battles are repetitive , islands reptitive , silver problem , double xp bug , rewards system bug , no farming, poor gem system, no free eggs only from diamonds , not enough diamonds ,ppl are already at hero rank 50 , pvp unfair ? Dominated by spenders , maybe they put a cap, short story , …

It’s a list from what I can see.
It’s nice tib you have 70 eggs?
I can’t be asked to spend let’s say 1000 pounds , and get 0 legendaries.
Probability is low but it’s possible to be that unlucky ,

I guess it’s like a lottery.

Yoo, tib. Never try to explain to someone who would not even listen a single word from your sentence, let them go all the way with their own will. There are some development coming soon, but they would not care, as they are tooooo frustrating to hear anything else~~

Did they directly tell you about future plans, or are you just guessing? Guessing doesn’t work for people. The developers must take it upon themselves to communicate.
