As you guys probably know by now, Neo Monsters was good for acouple hours & becomes impossible towards the last island as everybody in games team is stacked with super epics & legendaries & yours isnt because every super epic & legendary is locked behind spending money on gems (except for the super epics on the last island which is locked behind impossibly hard battles). If the game requires you spend this much on gems I honestly cant imagine how bad the PVP will be honestly its gonna be whoever paid & pulled 3-4 legendaries wins automatically literally, I recommend we all hit up the Neo Monsters team on facebook band together & get them to update & fix the game, try to get them to make the 900 monsters advertised available in game through hardwork & grinding, since only 200 monsters are available which is bs, Behind the pay 2 win & lies there is a good game here they literally ruined it by forcing us to pay for gems to get any good monsters. It guarantees PVP will be terrible.

1 Legendary doesnt cut it when in game players are using 2-3 legendaries a team
The entire story mode is beatable with a transfer legendary and some decent epics, just takes time and strategy. I’m not sure if it is possible to win with only free to play creatures but you get enough free gems to roll something decent. I want them to allow replaying of story mode so I can do a completely f2p attempt with only whats available on the islands. I do agree with you that pvp is going to be bad, but hopefully future story missions will make more good catchable arks available. The epics on the last island are already pretty good, one has give turn and the other special summon.
It doesn’t matter if the game is beatable with the transfered legendary and epics, it’s just awful and indecent that you can catch only 200 monsters and pay for the others. Also I’m in dub when you say they will add them in later updates, plus they give so few free gems that you are able to get 5/6 eggs at the end of the game.

For those who say it’s beatable. Make a team of monsters that can beat the game that you can only get through encounters. You can’t. It’s pay 2 win. Period. Not everyone has their hunter island saved games still. Not everyone played hunter island. Not everyone gets anything remotely helpful in the egg rolls. I was lucky to get penguini but the rest of the 5 or so eggs I rolled blow.
I have completed all currently available encounters with 0 dollars spent on gems. I have 1 legendary on my squad (a transfer). Even if I did not have that transfer, I am confident that given a week or two for training and evolution it would be easily completed, that is the essence of f2p. Don’t expect to beat everything in a day without spending money. An attempt without using free gems would be a challenge as the ultra forms are a big asset and can only be achieved on epics and up, I can’t say it’s possible because I have not attempted it, once they make story replayable it will be the first thing I try. This game in its current state seems unfinished to me, as many of its features are missing. It also does not seem like a game that is meant to be completed in one sitting, which is different from the older game where you can grind and grind indefinitely. There are advantages and disadvantages to that, but from a developer standpoint it’s a much better model for retaining players.
Be realistic, the first goal of any studio is to make money, the challenge is to make a game that people think is fun enough to justify spending on. Only time will tell which way many players lean. Forums tend to draw out the most vocal protesters.
Must be nice to have a legendary and good super epics. With my 5 or so egg rolls that I got throughout the story and online I got crap. If this was hunter island I would be able to farm for better monsters or spend time earning XP. YOU didn’t have to spend money because you got lucky. Not everyone has the same fortune.
This game is completeable in under a month with less than 30 minutes of playtime a day no matter how unlucky you get with your rolls. Two of the biggest impact creatures (rhynobrawl and puffoxin) to beating the pumped up AI are catchable. Correctly managing your keys and timing their use to match your hero level ups will ensure you never lack fruits for training.
Fixing something that was never broken (Hunter Island) is not a good way to retain players. In fact I imagine once the PVP rolls out & people realize if you didnt spend money on gems you cant win a PVP they will all run right back to Hunter Island a fair game with a even playinng field where every monster is catchable without spending money
The problem with pvp is easily solved by implementing format restrictions. For example, one format only allows for 50 value worth of arks and no legendary or super epics. The cash whales can go play each other in an unlimited format. As you progress and improve your team, you can start dipping your toes in less restricted formats.
The reason they made the changes is most likely because they did not make enough money with the last model to sustain the production cost for the current game, time will tell if this will be a good decision. This game has been out for barely a week, I’m sure there will be a way later on to obtain gems and eggs that is better than the current 1 gem a week daily login reward(this is pretty atrocious).
FYI I beat the game multiple times, without using any transfer monsters. I also had no Super epics for several of the saves, so the game is beatable without buying eggs or using legendaries or super epics. I do agree that the in app purchases are a bit overboard this time, how you cant actually collect all of the monsters without eggs, although having online missions like in hunter island would fix this easily.

Perhaps I have to spell it out more clearly for you. I did not advocate banning legends and super epics from pvp. Rather, I suggested separating pvp into different formats that player can choose to play in. Three example formats would be pauper, limited, unlimited. Pauper would only allow epics and under with 50 total value. Limited allows one legend and 2 super epics. Unlimited would have no restrictions. Players would choose what format they want to use when they queue for pvp, and be matched with an opponent or AI using the same restrictions. Nowhere did I say that legends and super epics should be banned from pvp.
