OLD Tier List

Cyclo definitely need a passive. I agree with that. It’s the reason i don’t use bim

A bit off-topic, but does anyone have the stats for Mistmoth (the Holy one with Double Sneak Attack)? It’ll be greatly appreciated as I need them for my future analysis.

Edit: I know it’s not released at the moment, but someone could’ve picked it up during IC or some other event.

It’s not just cycozar. Just like @LemonSqueezy said, killer moves just doesn’t do enough unless the monster has excessive force or alike passive which is for somereason, ignores defense.

Tago has always been S+ in my book. That is the monster I want most. I would prefer it over Lion.

Welcome one and all to my next analysis, where we’ll cover two legendaries and a super epic. I will warn you that this may be jumping the gun especially since I don’t have all the information for one of the featured monsters, however I do have an excellent hunch on its potential viability with what information I do have, so without furtherado let’s get started.

Funnily enough, the first monster for today is the one I mentioned in the opening paragraph; Mistmoth. The only moth that hasn’t been released yet, I was able to get a hold of its moveset and provided it has a similar statline to Zhu/Triv, it’s a top contender for best moth out of the bunch. An instant Double Sneak Attack is no laughing matter, especially when it has Purifying Stealth Self to maintain its camouflage for continuous sweeping. Additionally, it also has Ally Substitute Lv.5, swapping itself or an ally out for the sake of reusing a powerful passive to gain further control over the match. One thing that has been mentioned to me a few times is that the initial hardship of keeping your Pupupa alive, however I feel it adds a little balance to a legend that, need I remind you everyone gets for free. Overall, it’s very easy to make a case for Mistmoth being the best of the bunch, with it’s rather versatile moveset. I’ll give it an A+, but the rating could change once all the information surrounding it becomes available.

The next monster today will be a super epic, which messes with my OCD a bit, but I’ll live with it; Abyssoldier Breaker. The latest member of the newest ‘type family’ as I often call these 6-monster groups, it has the standard Lone Fish passive where it gains a solid stat boost if its all alone; however it gains the ever-so desirable Excessive Force upon reuniting with its boys. So what is it’s moveset like? SOLO Stun Pulse and Timestrike Double are very nice indeed, but the SOLO requirement is a pain given how stun heavy the Storm typing is. But if you aren’t into stunning, than a single target Retribution should suffice, even if that move is a little more situational than its other moves. I may be missing something, but it appears to be one of the weaker members of the A.S family, at least when compared to its excellent Shadow brother that we got a couple weeks ago. Don’t get me wrong, it’s plenty powerful in the right scenario, but it requires a little more set-up to be on the same level as its brothers. Final rating: B+

And now we’re on our final monster, that being Arboribratus. It’s a Stun-Absorbing, Auto-Protector which should make it very desirable for several members of the community. Jokes aside, this is a solid support monster, reaching its full potential when Oak is on the field. Iron Wall combined with its solid defenses make this thing a sturdy wall to break down, all while it enrages its teammates to boost their damage, with Oak being a prime target. It also carries Purifying Stealth to add further protection to Oak as it tears holes through your foes team. It’s secret skill, Tree Rot may not seem impressive at first, but it sets up Oak for its instant stun flash SS and give it free food to chow down. Even without Oak on the field, it offers plenty of defensive support for your team, though you can tell it was intended to work alongside it. Overall, it’s a solid wall worth adding to your team for the passives alone, and opens up a new series of strategies surrounding the duo. Final rating: A+ with Oak, A without Oak.

And there you have it; a little hasty but I think I’ve played all my cards right.

For once I’m going to say I disagree hugely with your reviews of the two new monsters. Mistmoth I agree with you on, we’ve all had a good analysis of that in the past.

I believe these are quite a bit stronger than you’re giving them credit for. For example, Arboribratus can double poison eater on the first turn it gets (after SS) and the SOLO requirement on the Abyssoldier Breaker is no issue when it’s paired with the others.

I’ll give you that I was a bit too harsh on Breaker, but I still maintain that Arbo’s main purpose is to provide a solid amount of support to your team. Yes, it can theoretically sweep with Double Poison Eater, but it’s more defensive-oriented stats mean that it’s not going to get as many kills as say, it’s partner in crime Oak.

Oh absolutely, but from what you wrote it looked like you were missing some points and focusing too much on it simply using iron wall then sitting there as a protector with support moves.

Enrage teammate is more powerful that the shadow frog’s version, it is +100% attack rather than +50%. Arbor can turn off iron wall later on by using enrage teammate on itself, which is situational but cool. Auto-protect + stun absorber is arguably better than camouflage + stun absorber because it can never become dead weight on your team, plus with the good defence on Arbor it is still a huge pain to get rid of. Then when you combine it with Oak it can set up all of your poison monsters instantly before either: becoming a wall, powering up Oak to one-shot with double poison siphon or killing two enemies with double poison eater. The latter can even remove stun protection before Oak comes with the 150s stun on all enemies and you team can sweep through. Now that combo with Oak and power with poison teams is great, but throw that on a tanky monster with auto-protect means your strategy is hard to break apart before it gets sweeping and stun absorber makes it harder to stop initially and harder to make a comeback against later.

I reckon Arboribratus is a top notch protector, in the realms of Sanctistag and Megaiasloth.

100 % agree. If the devs didn’t say that they were gonna nerf Auto protectors I would have rolled for him. That SS is incredible for poison team. I tested it in SCB and basically guarantees two kills on its first turn. Like you said combine that with oak and other posion monsters it’s gonna wreck havoc. For an auto protector to have that much attacking power and offensive setup capabilities it is outstanding.

Love that monster.

Truth be told, I rolled it in the hopes of bringing back my boy Oak and managed to get it in a pack. Once I evolve it, I’m gonna bring back my glorious poison team.

Excellent! Hopefully after you try it out you love it a bit more than you did here. I want to roll for it too but will have to wait for it to be featured again. I have Oak, no interest in Vulca, mythic is from the standard pool and it’s not a festival so I really can’t talk myself into spending gems. It’ll be great to see Arbor featured in a better egg.

I’ve just added a section on mythic monster second forms. I’m not keen on making a full tier list for these, but due to quite a few people wanting something that gives a rough idea of how the monsters are in their second form I’ve created the above. Please let me know what you think and if there are tweaks that would make it better for people.

The concept is to give a rough idea of how much worse the second form is than the awakened form and how many tiers worse it is. Also, to highlight where a monster is still fine in second form but missing something particularly powerful or requiring a little more building around.

Why is Prismaryx S+ for PvP? I never see it used EVER. Should be A+

Agreed. Also stratus shouldn’t be S+. Not even close. Glad you moved up Draco to S+ and agree Bloom is now S+.

Centurion is one of the best PvP monsters not A+ at all S+ or at least S. He just works so well.

Infernicon is not A+. S at least.

Edit: Nulltron is not even in my team at the moment. Willoyrm and Bloom have made it A tier. It is not close to being S. Not. Even. Close.

Thanks guys, I will make a few small adjustments in the next tier list update.

Agree on all points

How is Onyxia A+ and Dragulus B+?

Onyxia I haven’t moved properly since the horrific nerf and we’ll have to see what buff it gets.

Dragulus is extremely good in this protector meta but overall doesn’t offer as much as other mythics. However, I need to check whether I pushed it up since finding out bloodthirst can kill many legendaries after just one kill.

Please acknowledge that CrapTron sorry I mean Nulltron is not S. A at best now.
