Do you guys all unlock ss of grovo?
Buffing protect focus ain’t a good idea unless you exempt grovo from it otherwise unkillable wall
If any of the protect focus SEs had stun Absorb and hold ground they would get used a ton. Keep the moveset the same
Nope, makes it weak to chrono killer.
I did, very useful endgame where you rarely see chrono killers and often see shockers that are sent back.
Agreed, I would just have the protect focus move add hold ground as well. That would make the PF monsters actually usable in this meta. Especially Grove. I don’t choose grove over any of my protectors even with the dual give turn SS, but if he had hold ground only after he used protect focus so it’s not OP, I would actually use him.
If you don’t use grovo because you think he is useless you aren’t using him right.
He is pretty crazy already.
He doesn’t have more passive slots. They are taken up.
Grovo doesnt need hg, if anything I’d like to change his stealth teammate or basic attack to a move that will double defence like how fury mode multiplies attack.
Protect Focus also does this…shifts attack stats –> defensive stats
In light of the recent update, the following monsters have been removed from the buff list:
Dolphoenix
Heavenswyrm
Mojinator
Blossomight and Sanguinymph
Viridizardon
Wolfrozor
Monsters that are staying on the list despite having received a buff:
Prismaryx
Moltenpede
If anyone disagrees, let me know.
Add burnsalot, he is very slow and other monsters do his job better.
Nice to see the list getting smaller and smaller.
Would like to add cyclo to the buff list. He is a great monster, everyone will agree, but he need something like 5% damage boost, just to get rid of his RNG factor.
You never know if you can trust him to kill mecha / stag / aegis at 1 shot, so if you wanna put him in FL for counter - you better be sure he can counter, unless you will HAVE to choose other options if you have any. It just anoys me that every hit he makes i need to cross fingers like its a gambling game. If i put him in my team it a stratigic choice, which will backfire badly if it fails. So i cant really see the point of it. Btw im fine he cant always kill chrome / leo / raizen etc at 1 shot as he is a water type, but stag and mecha?
I’ll always disagree about Prismaryx needing further buffs. I think it’s a great mix of support and damage how it is.
Burnsalot is one I was thinking about the other day as a monster that not only has slow entry speed but the 200TU double energy burst is super slow. He charges the move quickly and gets healed as he does so with a give turn monster works pretty well but I can’t see why you’d pick him over other legendaries. The only thing I can see is going for him is that with the secret skill he can now create 7 rockoidis. That’s great support in a throw team which sets up something like Astrogolem very nicely too. However, overall it’s not enough.
I can get behind a Cyclozar damage buff just for consistency. It’s a good monster, there’s no doubt, but it’s held back a lot by having so many monsters which are 50:50 one-shots. Mecha, Aegis, Chrome, Stag, Leo… you get the idea.
One I’d like to add is Metatherion. His 100% sleep is awesome but with 100TU it’s not super special. Pull back is useful too. The main thing is that he’s so slow and has no hold ground so he can often make very little impact to a match because he dies before sweeping. I’d support either reducing sleep grenade to 70/80TU or giving him hold ground. Plus, giving him a secret skill like fast dual summon or “swift sleep grenade 30TU”.
If you’re not convinced that Metatherion needs a buff just look at Sweetfeather. They have similar speed and double dreamhunt. However, Sweet can double dreamhunt as soon as it gets a turn (provided no purify) whereas Meta needs 100s more before it can sweep. Sweet can also instantly set up a double dreamhunt (or otherwise provide sleep support) with the secret skill if you’re using holy monsters. The only exciting extra thing Meta can do is pull back on something.
You have yet to meet with someone that knows how to use metatherion well.
Good Ol’ Batcop’s sleep team mostly focused on him
I think metha on his own doesnt offer much, as both making someone sleep and dreamhunt takes alot of time and effort (especially when he doesnt have any passives to protect him). But when paired with another sleep legends, or a give turn, he can be deadly.
However ive never been beaten by him so it hard to tell, tho i can believe when people say they make him work.
I know, shifting stats is different from multiplying stats though hence my proposed change.
Metatherion’s real selling point is Sleep Grenade. 100% success rate, and you can choose who it hits, meanwhile Sweetfeather is totally random and Goldtail still needs to watch out for that 25%. None of the sleep monsters can shatter team chemistry as consistently as Meta.
You also have to consider Meta’s time units on that sleep + its downside of requiring a unit. 100% is good, but I don’t know if it is better than gold. Double Dreamhunt is where I think Meta’s utility really comes in same with Sweetfeather.
He can do both, got an amazing support move (100 sleep) and amazong sweeping move (double dreamhunt).
But he just cant do both because its to much TU. if he want to sleep he need a sweeper near him, and if killing he need a sleeper next.
He can be good i guess, never really met someone who used him in a way that was hard to counter, but i dont think he need a buff.
