As I may have mentioned on LINE, I decided to go over my initial Island SE posts and opted to give them some fine-tuning. After all, I still love the idea to death and would like to see it implemented in a future update. I’ll be inserting them here over the span of three posts, so consider this my biggest pool of monster ideas yet. As always, you’re free to give your two cents regarding these ideas.

My boy Demihorus finally getting the recognition it deserves. Also Catobledus, it’s supposed to be a fearsome death-gaze creature… But in the game it’s the first dungeon’s miniboss. Unreal.

Really like these works, especially Dreadwyrm. Tyrannical Recovery fits his design so well and Excessive Force on him is actually not that OP as Bloodthirst requires 2 kills and Decide is 250 TU.

Chainscarab has an enough efficient moveset but I’d swap ELEM Accelerate with ELEM Healing. Its main problem is that it dies fast, and LINK Piercing Blow on a 85% speed monster is basically a recoil-kill.

The second batch of SE ideas that I remade over the weekend, with most of them being additional support for LINK Fire. I really, really liked the idea of Lavacroc’s evolution being a useful ally for Ahuizard so I stuck with that idea and opted to build Infernodrake’s and Goldenhorn’s evolution around it as well. As for Haniwel’s evolution, I realised that it was a bit too slapdash and overpowered, so I tweaked it a bit while keeping it as a primarily supportive monster.

Each looks really fitting, upgraded movesets of their current moveset. Infernodile is probably my favourite too. Great job!

Here it is, the third batch of potential SE evolutions for island monsters, and this is the one I have the most to talk about.

Megalojaws: Of the twelve monsters that I’ve created over the three batches, I’d say that this was the hardest to create, mainly because it’s base moves were so awful, hence why it looks a little rushed. I eventually settled for something that can kill itself after using One-on-One. It may be nothing special, but hey, it’s not like I had much to work with.

Raijinzar/Seastallion: Like with Thorhoof/Megamammut, it was a case of making two monsters with identical moves stand out from each other as much as possible. And while I think I did a great job with improving upon Raijinzar, I’m a little worried about Seastallion, most notably it’s new move. Some people might see a ā€˜Daunt’ like move on a free Super Epic as cheap, but considering how it only targets one monster, and it sacrifices the user, it should be fine enough.

Tartataur: Arguably the simplest one to understand; it’s essentially another useful asset in the growing Fire Poison arsenal alongside Keeperdragon, Volcavenus and Volcaroth.

Raijinzar and Seastallion are stunners who ACTUALLY do their job. I definitely would like to have them in my team. Tartataur is definitely Volcavenus’ best partner in crime and @zazzaro’s new best friend.

Megalojaws is a bit underwhelming though, what if instead of Zealous Attack it had a Piercing Survivor move? That would definitely improve its value.

I actually think that move is a little underpowered. I would make it ā€œSealing sacrificeā€ which does the same but pushes them back by 300s. It’s a low speed monster and is 10 cost in your team to put that one enemy out of play.

@Tanbeer That looks like a more powerful Nulltron. Definitely way too strong. Also, why make it a raw monster? It’s already got guardian execute to deal with protectors and the 5* form has always been good to use behind a protector so it’s a little off theme.

Vittoria (a woman wearing a black trench coat, sporting some red angel wings and armed with a spear with a red flag attached to it).

Lifeflip Friend Unlimited (160 TU).

Loser’s Awakening: targets an ally token monster on the field. That monster will have its Max HP, ATK and DEF boosted by 2000%, and then be fully healed (100 TU).

SECRET SKILL - Instant Equalize (1 TU)

PASSIVES:

Underdog Zone: all monsters on the field will gain ATK/DEF +25% when attacking a higher-starred monster.

What do you think of this potential monster? This monster revolves around the idea of equality and helping the most disadvantaged ones, but less brutally than Canishogun.

Active skill :

Break-up : Targets an enemy monster . Only the targeted monster can damage the user. If the targeted monster dies , this move is reset .

Love triangle : Places a death sentence on an ally and an enemy . After 150 seconds , that monster among the two which takes the turn first immediately dies .
