The Ugly & Good

Since we all have things we don’t like about this game, or things we would like to see improved…I thought this thread could help the devs see what the players dont like, allowing them to have all the things to improve on in one thread.

Rules:

  1. No trolling, how can the devs or moderators differntite ideas that we would like, and trolls, which would only lead this thread to become garbage, like most of the other threads.
  2. If story and online story isn’t complete dont post here. (not trying to be mean, but most new or rather less experienced players will post stuff that is rather ridiculous, e.g look at the skill suggestion thread. )
  3. If 2 experienced players ask u to take something down, pls do so, its very likely that ur suggestions wasn’t good then. Experienced players are…Moph, Zard, Luc, Lochi, Gary, Josh, buck, ahmed, vegi (if he isnt trolling or trying to sell sarcasm detectors), etc. (if i didn’t mention u but ur experienced don’t feel bad, I just forgot to add u, and will so once u tell me )
  4. Don’t post **** THAT DOSENT BELONG HERE, e.g nerfs or buffs

I’ll start off, Egg rolling and gems, I spend 1 1/2 months collecting gems to get nothing but epics (dupes, or rather useless potions), then bought for 80 Euro 3 packs, to get one legend dupe and more SE and E dupes… Which is a reason many players are leaving, because the egg rolling system is ****, unless u have money growing on trees. (I don’t so incase u do pls. let me have one)

I hate that reaching high levels in every pve event is almost impossible if you can’t sleep lock. There should be different events that don’t necessarily rely on buffed monsters that become too hard to handle without sleep

They should make it more monsters but no buff…DC was amzing the last torch and short cut…Had a lot of fun doing those

Or maybe put an event in which you can use only SE, monsters of only 1 element, something different than just buffing

As mentioned in another topic, more events, I am missing a lot of powerful legends, but still the SCB and easter event was finished in one day. A constant flow of events, one finishes, another one immediately follows.

This is a really good idea, …as such would allow lower level players to gain gems or items too not just P2P players

Increase legend odds to 8% and festival to 12%. 

And devs should work on dupe system too,there should be something like “saving system” which help players when they are getting dupe monster. ex, for every leg dupe players can choose between returning it to get 3gems or swap it for 2leg potion.

  1. Gem price. It just to much, and it for only a low chance, with a chance to get dupe.

  2. Dupes. Legenderies are super rare, so if you finally hatch one you should be happy about it, even if it a dupe. But right now all you get for it is a sad +1, which can even destroy your monster TU combos. We should be able to choose what to do with the dupe, so we will at least gain something (like potions, gems, etc…)

  3. Events. All about sleep lock. We need events that focus on something else. I saw a great suggestion onces that suggest a theme like events, like:

  • every floor an enemy monster added instead of buff (so you will fight like 100 monsters)
  • limitations like only fire type / only se / etc
  • buff for certain moves, like poison, so instead of sleep team we will all build a poison team for once.
  • probally everything that will make us build a different team, because playing the same team in every event is getting boring.

Get a dev who is someone who actually plays the game at the top level so the devs can see what kind of buffs are needed to make a monster worth using. Geo and Grovo were good buffs, cryo and sanctallion were bad.

Both online and offline story are still in complete, i kind of forgot most of the details already, thats how long it has been

I think devs forgot it themselves too,since some of detail doesn’t match with each other.
But it was fun following that story,hope next update covers atleast chapter 8

I apologize if I put this in the wrong topic, but I’m going to rant about two monsters; specifically Sanguinymph and Blossomight. Now, While I do like their designs, and the idea of two monsters needing to be on the field is kind of neat, there’s no doubt that these two are the most useless Super Epics released to date.

Let’s start with Sanguinymph: It’s move-set’s a mess. It’s got Protect Teammates, making you think tat it’ll be a support monster, yet for some reason it has Bloodcrave. I know that Bullbrazen has both those moves as well, but at least it has Toxic Killer to make it viable. Sanguinymph’s signature move Petal Storm, is powerful if Blossomight is on the field, but the TU is too high, and again, doesn’t mesh well with Sang’s Protect skill. It’s like the devs didn’t know whether they wanted Sang to be a sweeper or a supporter, and decided to mix the two together.

Now let’s move onto Blossom, who’s move-set also suffers from the devs mixing things up. It has Poison Touch and Single Poison Siphon, to ensure it stays alive so Sang can use Petal Storm effectively, and it has Risky Heal. Wouldn’t it make more sense to give Risky Heal to Sang, and Bloodcrave to Blossom? Petal Blitz is effectively a weaker version of Stun Flash, due to requiring Sang to be on the field. I’ve already explained why these monsters suck, but the worst part is how they’re obtained.

Sanguinymph was available in the second most recent Island Challenge, which isn’t too bad, considering the fact that everyone has a chance at obtaining the monster. Blossomight however, was obtained in The Ultimate Challange, where only the top 3,000 players get the monster. You see the problem here? The devs wanted us to try the combo they set up for us, yet only 3,000 players will ever get to try out the combo (not that they would want to). I’ll admit that this complaint may seem kind of petty, considering that I managed to get Blossommight, but this is the topic where we can vent over minor grievances.

I love this game, yet even I have to admit that the devs messed up when it came to these two monsters. 

Gem prices: I wouldn’t pay more than €10 for a 10 in 1

Rotating theme for events where monster type or strategy would be buffed. An example would be a UC event where time strike is greatly buffed (and I mean 1 shot buffed) and other strategies are nerfed (like sleep or poison is useless in this sample event). An Island draft where only SE and legends are drafted making it more fun and giving it gatekeepers (5gems please). And please return previous UC rewards the last one was just needlessly grindy but the 10 tickets are a good touch. It would also be nice that for guys with a rank of 100 and above can choose to reset offline story mode with double the rewards but buffed (and I mean UC like buffed. It will keep the game interesting long enough before the next story update).

Like the idea of the story getting reset to start buffed one. Higher levels really need something new and challenging to do.

Ikr? It gets boring when you got nothing else to do. It would at least keep the game fresh with older players.

the major issue is not specific monsters here and there that need improvements, or who are generally worthless, but the sheer amount of bugs and illogical/inexplicable quirks that have been well known for many, many months that go unaddressed.  sitting on bugs that frustrate your regular players while seemingly dedicating the same amount of time that you could have spent fixing the bugs to releasing new monsters (who themselves may need to be rebalanced almost immediately) communicates that you generally just don’t care or don’t know how to prioritize.  sleeping monsters shouldn’t be able to get off moves before they fully go to sleep.  sleeping monsters with overwatch who get attacked shouldn’t wake up only after their overwatch triggers.  certain monsters shouldn’t consistently get hit with DR more than others.  i’d reproduce the entire list of known bugs, but it’s readily available in other threads that are weeks or months old, and having to reproduce that list would only prove that the devs aren’t paying attention to what’s been communicated many times, or are disorganized, or don’t know how to prioritize – or some combination of the above.

a general rule of business is to perfect your core business model before trying to improve or expand your business.  in the case of this game, they should just fix the known problems with the game before they release new monsters.

lastly, i’ll say the tone of this post comes because i actually really love the game, and it pisses me off that something with so much potential is allowed to languish in mediocrity with piss-poor/fixable bugs.  if i thought the game sucked, i wouldn’t care or bother to get fired up.

I hate the new algorithm of the game :confused: always my best monster is attacked (it wasn’t like this before)the death roulette kills always my best monster. And when the game use it it kills also my best player. Abysseraider he is never affected by toxic gas but my others monsters yes

There is no motivation for the devs to put in the work to make something like that.
