Mission Fair Practice Policy

I understand that they are wanting to keep the Arks rare but surely if someone can’t finish the OM within the week and as more new players join they will become “limited” as they are then, no longer obtainable?
The rate the game is progressing (Top charted in the App Store) many more players will be coming. I know it’s been stated before but the obvious reason why people are upset is due to not being able to obtain them all, even if they spent time and effort within the week trying to compete and once completed being slapped with “Too Late.” Doh!

My issue is with the recent explode of hacked PvP teams they are going to progress much faster than any others in these events.

Personally - most likely to many others dismay!
I think the OM itself needs a longer release time in between with maybe online tournements being introduced instead (with a score board) to win gold, to cover the time slot. With Star Ratings used as the entering rule - e.g. Beginners 1-3 star Arks only. Set level of 20. Novice 4-6 etc etc

That’s true, but there are still way too many that will enter the pool during an entire week. Almost all players in the game apart from the ones who can’t complete the mission will get the monster, and then all the new players will be at a serious disadvantage (the ones that come in). Plus, everyone will have all the same monsters. At least for a while.

Ah, that is very true. I’ve noticed you taking note of people’s comments across the board and it is indeed a hard one to figure out.

Maybe the best way is to trial and error the Pool A/B idea BUT offer people the chance to buy the monster with gold? I mean by end game providing you’ve not just bought eggs non stop, you total around 3000+ gold coin. Put the limited monster up for, let’s just say 700gold. But only while the OM is running? So ones that want it can get it still. If they don’t like it or want it then atleast they arnt missing out and maybe competing for some Butt-Fugly Ark next time, when their chances are higher?

Well that depends on how hard it is…

If the event is relatively hard it gives everyone an equal chance of getting the arcs witch is not the current case since it will depend on the time at witch you play.

And I understand you prefer having the event arcs not too popular yet I still believe everyone needs a fair chance of getting them not based on where they live or if they play at the right time. I think competing against yourself is much more enjoyable than competing against others based on the time you’ll play…

Also where I disagree with what you’re saying ( and some already said this sorry to repeat :frowning: ) is that even if the event arcs are only given to a limited number without a fair chance for everyone then I believe its unfair to other PvP player… It’s one less arcs that you can diversify your strategies even if he’s beatable.

As we talked about in another topic, this method wouldn’t hurt the game I believe and would only make the events more enjoyable. So I don’t understand why it would be bad to make it limited in a week’s (or less if you feel it’s too easy in a week) time.

Another idea to would be that during the week you only get one try at the challenge making it more difficult to complete.

Also as said by the admins, they are looking into implementing the event arcs after the event so they’re available to everyone even new players so that takes that issue away.

And if you say that new players would be at a disadvantage then that does mean you believe that the players that didn’t get event arcs and are already playing are already at a disadvantage ? Since I wouldn’t see the difference. And that means PvP would get unfair and less strategy based and more “what arc you have” based. I get that the more players that have them the harder it’ll be for new players ; however in the long term you can easily imagine that the probability of every player having at least one event arcs goes up. Then that means that it comes back to that situation where new players are already at a disadvantage.

Sorry for the long post just had a few things I thought could be brought to the debate.

Also sorry if sometimes it isn’t very organized or clear :S

if you win an event during that season, it gets really hard to win another one. so most people will get 1 in a season (regardless of where you live or what time zone you are in). i agree that the events need to be more difficult, please give us a few weeks, we will up the difficulty as we go, most players are not even close to finishing the game yet.

It was just giving out ideas ! Not at all a complaint or anything

But what do you think of making it a challenge not about who gets it first but who finishes it ?

I and many others understand that. But the issue is missing the ones we can’t/didn’t get because of the limitations.
Another reason I’ve noticed people complaining (including myself) is let’s say in a season there’s 4 Arks to win - an Angel, a Phoenix, a Mermaid and a Dragon.
I would much prefer to obtain the Mermaid than the Phoenix, however I won the Phoenix and now the chance of me getting one I would like is a lot harder for me to do so if at all.
Unless I have that wrong?

As for the time difference. The OM was released at 1am for me but I didn’t even get the new event because I hadn’t force closed my app so it didn’t appear for 2 days after it started.
I know that what ever time you release it, the group that don’t benefit will complain.
A “Push Notification” could help out a little just to inform us. But that itself isn’t going to fix many issues around the OM and rewards.

EDIT: Reread through this and although it’s all very negative, the game itself is amazing. Just the online side is hurting the Collecting side of the game and being a crazy perfectionist, I love obtaining everything I can.

Since I’m from Australia, and the event doesn’t take place until 9am Sunday , wouldn’t it be near impossible for myself and other australians to finish in the top 10%?

it starts at the same time for everyone! get some sleep.

How is 9am a bad time? Sounds like a great time. The east coast of Australia scores pretty well this time around for timing. West coast is a little more questionable, but 6am isn’t *too* bad.

Remember, there will be places where it’s 1am, far less appealing.

Wait so let me get this straight, I have to try my hardest to get into the 1%, so I cannot waste my time trying to get the fusion materials from the eggs. And if I happen to skip the eggs but still end up being too slow to be in the top 1% I end up with no exclusive? While people who need to be in the 10% which is 800 people(I believe) can just take it easy and time their eggs and end up with 2-4 of the exclusive arkadion? I believe this method is too biased to the less dedicated group who play. I would recommend to lower the 10% to maybe 2% or maybe even 3% in order to force the players to chose from either going for the S rank arkadion or going for it through the eggs. Having to be in the first 800 people isn’t that difficult, please make it a little more challenging. If I knew I was going to be punished for being a devoted player in the weekly event aspect of the game I would have purposely not finished the event in order to not be in the 1% section. I would just take my time on the eggs and end up with 2-3 of the Aarkadions each week instead of rushing for 1 and hope I’m fast enough. Sorry if my point isn’t understandable I’ve had a little too much alcoholic beverages tonight.

Oh my apologies!

I thought i had read on the Facebook page that it was released for some countries yesterday.

It’d be really nice to have announcements like this in-game for those who don’t check this forum on a normal basis. Or at least an announcement to check this (or a specific) forum topic.

They did post it on their Facebook page

Will everyone win eventually

I disagree completely with lowering the percent. This is because I have finished all the om so far and I have not won one yet. Also if you don’t know how to time the golden mission egg right then you cant get the necessary arks to make the monster.

How is the top 1% defined? Shouldn’t more people fall into the top 1% as more people complete the mission?

It’s 1% of the amount of people that completed the last mission.

This thread seems like a good thread for this.

Recommendations for start times of the OM

Goals/considerations

> Given the race-like nature of the event, it would be best if the event was on the weekend for everyone. Most Western countries have the weekend being Saturday/Sunday (although most could consider Friday afternoon to be the start), and various Arab countries have the weekend being Friday/Saturday. Many of the Arab countries are around GMT to GMT+6. There are a few exceptions, but this covers most of it.

> The world is a big place, and it’s always 3am somewhere. You can’t please everyone, all of the time.

I recommend the start time for the event move forward in 4 hour increments across a 24 hour period.

In each row I’ll include what the time would be in 5 different timezones

For any timezone I could think of, this appear to give at least 3, usually 4 out of the 6 slots as being pretty reasonable, and I don’t think you can get much better than that.

Thoughts?

i think its best if we do events in groups, so basically divide up the world into 3-4 groups according to time zones. We need more players and a lot of coding done to pull this off. Right now, the event time is centered around U.S. and Europe because thats where 99 percent of the users are = least amount of unhappy people
