KD's Mythic Solution

In the past I shared an idea where we’d have an extra event added to the 16-day cycle of special ingredients. Every other cycle (32 days) there would be another event added where we get an item called a “shard ticket”, which works like a 7* ticket in the shop but only allows us to buy shards for the mythics we already own. There would probably be a new section of the shop made which displays all the mythics you own and that’s where you spend the shard tickets. The idea is that all people can awaken mythics with enough time, but it’ll be about 9 months to buy all 3 shards for a mythic if you’ve only hatched it once. Shard tickets could also be given out in a few other places as a super rare item.

This idea below is similar to that idea, but turned into a combination of a couple of ideas…

The Devs have previously expressed in the future they’d like to give us one or two more “free legendaries”, like Chronozeros and Noxdragon. I’d like to combine that with the idea I have above.

The Cave of Myths

This is an event in the “monster hunting” section that unlocks after beating the champion in the offline story. There are a few battles with a story line which has you following rumours of a cave that is said to be the home of the most powerful monster in all the land. You find the cave but the monster is nowhere to be found. However, the crystals filling the cave seem to have a life of their own and begin attacking you. After the battle the crystals come together to form a mythical creature, who explains it is not one creature but actually the fundamental building blocks of all mythical creatures and there are many mythics out there in distant lands. It tells you to defeat it in battle then you can claim a crystal for yourself. You then fight a boss battle against the mythic. Afterwards it collapses into individual crystals again and you take one as a trophy.

Once this is completed, the final battle becomes possible to repeat once a week, giving a crystal each time.

The crystal you get is a 5* monster.
To evolve it to 6* you need 6 copies (1+5).
To evolve it to 7* you need 4 copies of the 6* monster (24 in total).

However, the 6* form can also be used an ingredient for any other mythic in place of a “shard”.

Hence, every six weeks we get the equivalent of one shard for any of our mythics we already own or something that works towards this mythic. If this is deemed too frequent, the battle can give a percentage chance of a crystal when you repeat it (e.g. 60% each time, like the monster hunting for the starters). In fact I’d recommend it is lower chance then it can be increased in the future or for some seasonal periods as a bonus.

The monster itself…

Visually: Crystals bonded together by electricity, constantly reforming into different beast-like shapes.

The idea is it’s a stun counter support monster. Therefore everyone can have a stun counter but it’s nothing too crazily powerful and takes a long time + a trade-off over awakening other mythics in order to get it.

This could actually be something I could se making it into the game

But it still would be near impossible cuz it’s m-y-t-h-i-c.And if they are adding maybe, they would make just as KD said and the challenge’s difficulty would be incredibly high.It would defeated like player’s with 6 months or so login.I personally think it is problematic because there are not much player’s who play the game for this much time and because of how time consuming it is for beginners to get more monsters.I think devs should do something which encourages new players to play neo monsters like at least a month

Oh I just edited my post and also it does make me happy it’s just that for player’s who played this for a month or so it would be very discouraging because of lack of content for getting gems

U might be surprised but there are a lot players who would grind for 3 shard even if it takes a year
Also many players playing the game about 4 consecutive years… mostly new players quit the game after a few days/month

I like both ideas. Also, I think they are necessary.

In any online game the only difference between p2w and f2p players is time. A p2w can be very strong in one day, an f2p however, can do it in one or two months, but still, there is the possibility of being near the same level of a p2w, only that the second one gets there in a day, and the first one in a month or more.
I have always believed that neomonster has this problem. A p2w can get many mythics in a day or two, but an f2p would have to play for years for the “possibility” of awakening one one day (that could well never come).
This idea of ​​KD would correct that defect, would give the assurance that after X time you would get what you want, and would still maintain the difference between p2w and f2p. You want it fas?, Well, you know you must pay; if instead of that you want to be f2p, you will have to be very patient and persevering. But in both cases, you get where you want, some earlier, others later.

I would also be trying my best if it releases and use my free time to play this

In 1.5 years since the first mythics release, the most luckiest f2p have got to awake only one mythic, which is not necessarily the one they like. That’s ridiculous :man_shrugging:t2:

Glad to hear people like the idea!

I completely agree with the mindset of “pay to get powerful today, or put time in over a long period to get to a similar level”. I respect the fact Neo has made awakened mythics only available to spenders, but it can’t last forever. As the number of mythics increases further in the game (currently 37) that’s a whole lot of monsters which free players / small spenders will never have access to.

From a business standpoint it may even encourage more spending if people can feasibly awaken mythics with time. Right now I can imagine many small spenders feel it’s pointless to spend for 1-2 copies of a mythic (it’s only worth it if you go all-in and get 4 copies) so they may be choosing not to spend at times when they could.

It all seems like a missed opportunity. Like I said in the original post too, the % chance of the shard each time could be adjusted to an appropriate amount in order to decide how frequently we’re getting them. The Devs could even do periods where the chance increases to 100% for a few weeks (e.g. around the anniversary).

A new mythic sounds great but falloutdragon is f*cking busted was it supposed to be this op or it will get fixed in the next update?
Sorry but I couldn’t figure where to ask this and this seemed most recent
Like once I get it to 3 kills it basically hands me another 3 since the killing spree (200TU) after killing the target gives the turn to me again and it negates any kind of barrier or hold ground and getting it to 3 kills is kinda easy.

Try to do it in PvP

In PvE it’s not that easy too

I did it twice lol

In pvp people will most likely kill it first

Its easy af in PvE
What I do id use double repulse with oakhorror
Use double poison eater with fallout dragon
Use vigziarid to give it the next turn
Use double poison eater again and then if in the next 100TU it fies it whatever but if it doesnt
I use vigziarid to give turn again
Use 3 kill spree and then a double poison eater to cap it off
