Yes but vigziarid takes care of one hit kill monsters and then I have oakhorror and Sanctiguard which have repulse and auto poison and insulation so stun doesnt take me out which helps the most imo you need insulation to make it work
Btw just added the description of the monster I designed above. It was already implied with the lore but I realised I should make it clear if it isn’t already… and it also explains why it’s storm element.
“Visually: Crystals bonded together by electricity, constantly reforming into different beast-like shapes.”
I wish it were like that, all of us who buy want it, as I commented in a post that I spent 500 gems in the end for just 1 legendary that they didn’t give me, that can sometimes be frustrating
Will Dev’s ever agree on giving a free mythic or another free legendary like chronozeros ?
Meh they gave u a mythic which can be awakened in a f2p way
Ankara
It’s shop only and costs Legendary tickets so f2ps can obtain it
If the guaranteed Mythic on 10th pack persists I think with some saving and a tiny bit of luck everyone can get himself a mythic or 2 in a year.
1000 gems ~ seems very reasonable for me. I like that !
Nope. It will take about 3 years worth of legendary tickets to get without spending. That’s similar to what we have already with standard egg pool mythics. It’s kind of guaranteed to get but you have to give up getting ~7 legendaries in order to get it awakened… so it’s hardly for free.
Let’s assume 250 gems a month (top end of what people get for free). 250 * 12 = 3000 gems a year. That’s 75 packs. Even if a free player only did 10x 10-packs they’d be able to do it 7 times a year. This would definitely give them fewer new legendaries over the course of the year compared to splitting the packs across more eggs. It would also only give them 7 extra shards for mythics… enough for 2 mythics except of course this would be for random mythics.
What you’d end up with is a bunch of mythics at 0 or 1 shards, rather than any awakened. A free player would have to specifically target certain mythics and pour lots of their gems into that egg. On average, awakening a featured mythic would take 25x 10-packs to open (or something like that) so theoretically they could get 3 a year but at the cost of getting far far fewer legendaries.
Basically, neither addition is realistic at all for free players and does not help them awaken mythics. Free players can benefit from the additions but mostly as a large trade-off against getting more legendaries.
Because you expect people to only save for 10 packs, never 20. With 800 gems you get 2 guaranteed mythics, each being the featured 3 times out of 4. That’s 56% chance of getting 2 shards then and there, plus another 198 eggs, meaning 77% to get at least one shard and 44% to get 2 or more.
With some luck 800 gems can easily become an awakened mythic, and worst case scenario another 400 next time the mythic is featured almost guarantee it.
If this system persist awakening mythics is very possible for F2Ps. You do get less legendaries this way for sure, but if you really want a mythic now you can have it. I think it’s a good system.
I just ran my own numbers, didn’t check through yours but I’m not contesting them. The chance of getting an awakened featured mythic in 20 packs is 32%. That’s 0.75^2 * [chance of 2+ copies = 0.43776] + 2 * 0.75*0.25 * [chance of 3+ copies = 0.18791] + 0.25^2 * [chance of 4+ copies = 0.06307]. I don’t think I’ve made a miscalculation.
32% is way too rare for a free player to invest all those gems in the effort to awaken a mythic. Basically it’s like I said above, you’d have to invest loads of gems into specific mythics to awaken them and could only do up to about 3 a year but at the cost of getting very few legendaries compared to spreading out the gems. Realistically for a free player this is not a viable option. Yes it is possible to go for one and these guaranteed mythics make it cheaper but this is far more of a benefit for spenders. I’m very happy for them and think it’s good to bring the cost down. However, labelling it as something free players can benefit from too is a mistake in my mind.
EDIT:
To be clearer what I’m trying to say with my numbers. While yes “with some luck” a player could awaken a featured mythic with 800 gems it’s not a viable strategy to just drop 800 gems on an egg and try your luck. You need to be investing more than that to get a realistic chance at awakening one. It’s why I much prefer looking at the average rather than “well it’s possible to do with 800 gems so do that a few times a year and you’ll get one or two”. If people really want a specific mythic they’ll have to spend more than that, that’s the reality.
Your numbers seem correct (I haven’t checked, but we share that 44%, so I’m guessing we calculated the same way), however I honestly think you’re seeing this too much in a white or black manner.
I’m not saying that players should gamble their 800 gems for a single mythic, but eggs don’t only have mythics! Say that you open a egg you really like and find the featured mythic very early, now with another 700+ gems in the ready you can realistically try to ride that first bit of luck and have good chances of awakening the mythic.
And of course if you really want a specific mythic, saving for it, even as a F2P, is now a completely viable option! If I remember correctly you said yourself that you usually have an average of 600 gems. Just up that number to 800 and when you see that mythic you really want in an above average banner you’re ready for it. If you don’t get it, there are always the legendaries, so it still wouldn’t be a complete loss.
Besides most of us already have a few mythics with at least 1 shard, and once we start counting those the odds are incredibly stacked in our favor!
Personally I’m on high heaven for this change, and I think we’re going to see a lot more teams with a “healthy number” of mythics in them. I can’t wait to get 2 extra shards for my Arachnadiva!
Well I’m white or black with the matter in general because I think it’s still too many gems for a free player that it’s out of the realms of what is achievable in any realistic way (not giving up too many legendaries in the process).
However, you make a very good point that if you start off lucky by getting a couple of copies of a mythic in the first few packs then the guaranteed mythic every 10th pack could be a tempting way to close out the last shards. It will definitely come up maybe once every year or two where that’s an option for a free player.
For the vast majority of free players and for the vast majority of the time I don’t think the 10th pack guarantee will factor in for free players actually awakening mythics though. It will help a little with shards but awakening is still too far beyond that. Free players should definitely prioritise expanding their legendary collection.
