While I agree with Lethal to some extent, Pengy is also strategically valuable, even if you may never get to use Showdown. Consider this…your ending will probably be Triphoon, Omegawyrm, and Don Penguini. Let’s say one of the powerful dragons dies…you have one and DP. What arkadion will the opponent attack? DP, of course. They have no other choice. So they attack it and then volatile kicks in, and now you’re ahead of the game with a powerful dragon with nearly dead opponents. A quick AoE and you’re good. Consider this option as well…let’s say your wyrms magically die…Showdown all the way.
Do what you wish, as there are many ways to view the situation. Putting in DP or not, idrc…you should never rely on the last 2 anyways.
Let’s start at the beginning…a common lineup is Shadowstalker+Grem/Moss/Raioh/Chopper/Arkwing, right? If that’s the case, AoE with your faster fellas. Then he/she will likely take out your Raioh, allowing you to recover and start blasting back. It’s a common beginning. If that doesn’t happen, you’ll want to stun gift and then AoE. Don’t be greedy and try to sneak in a haste. It won’t work. Then Puffy comes out, and you trade 1 for 1. This is actually nice, because 4-6 monsters in is where players generally put the good monsters.
Now we’ve got Shadow+Golden+Nilo coming up. Goldy protects while Shadow and Nilo bash, with Nilo Risky Healing your allies as you deem fit. Then Goldy dies, and Shadow’s defense is boosted. If Nilomoth died due to risky heal first, that’s better. This way, Magma gets boosted defense too. At this point, Shadow should scapegoat itself with its amazing defense and HP. Magma is reinforced too, and you should blast. Then Luxy comes out and you just do whatever. Shadows are quite common at this point, which is why I put it there. Halfway through, feel free to scapegoat Luxknight if shadow is running low. Then Angelon comes out and hastes, and you should use offering right after.
Barri+Triph+Halo are coming out now. Fun stuff, right? The most likely team that you will have at this point is Shadow+Magma+Barri. Barri will guard, while the other two keep bashing. Plus…FANGBREAK! WOOT! Then one of em dies, and Triphoon comes out…Fang Break will be activated several more times, and then you just Regenerate. Oh, and scapegoat Shadowstalker now. Anyways, regenerate whenever you go below 700 health. Now you should have Magma+Triph+Halo or maybe even Triph+Halo+Omega. That’s a GREAT situation for you. Reinforce first. IF and ONLY IF the enemies are at 101+ TU, you can haste first and then reinforce. Anyways, then you bash and then heal. Then bash some more.
Considering you have both Shadowstalker and Triphoon I would put halopard next to them instead.
It will give you two incredibly hard to beat arkadians, that can deal a lot of damage. When Triphoon makes his move then use daydream.
At the very least Shadowstalker and Omegawyrm. A buffed Shadowstalker is one of the hardest arkadians to kill, as well as being incredibly strategic.
I would much rather have Omegawyrm at the back however.
Most of my battles playing with my current strategy will see Shadowstalker and Triphoon last the entire battle, or at least not get killed until the end of the opponents lineup, and I have them both near the front of mine. Albeit I do heal them along the way but they can literally decimate lineups.
That’s true, Saber. But notice Goldenhorn next to shadow. Shadow’s defenses will already be boosted greatly, and defense bonuses do not stack, regardless of it being passive or active.
I placed Halo between triph and omega, and put them in the back due to Vengeance. You are correct in saying that it would be perferable in the middle, but in this case it’s necessary to set up a Triph+Omega+DP situation, because there isn’t enough room to otherwise set up a nice ending.
Now, should there be better monsters to choose from, yes. In fact, my personal lineup is something similar to what you are suggesting…well, that small part of it anyways. But yeah, Triphoon is simply amazing. In fact, I’ll be releasing 4 strategies total. One spread out one like this one, another non-exclusive team, an exclusive egg-only one that follows many of our shared opinions, and finally #26, which is my personal team. I’ve played nearly 40-50 battles with it so far, and I don’t lose. So it works quite well…I lost once due to a stupid DC…lost once (very narrowly) due to ridiculous BA from the opponent. And I also lost once (very narrowly) due to a Kami user with a good number of strategically beneficial BA…but yeah…I see what you mean, and I agree wholeheartedly. But there are many situations to be accounted for, and many different…erm…“player levels” for lack of a better term.
I recently made it to Master League and it is apparent that my brute force strategy is not going to work any more. I have all of the non-OM and non-Golden Egg arkadions (up to and including Omegawyrm) plus Goldenhorn, Frillzeon, Infernowyrm, Triphoon, and Osiriswyrm.
I would like advice on a line-up that makes use of Frillzeon and other fire arkadions if possible. I understand that I will probably need to incorporate Raioh, Gremknight, Halopard, Angelon, and the Don.
Indeed, brutality doesn’t work at higher level pvp. Try have a easy to kill ark(shadow type?) and a stun ark before Goldenhorn, frizon and another fire ark after it, so mostly if the opponent doesn’t realize, he will be stunned, then Goldenhorn comes up, guardian. Then frizon comes up, army flame
Oh, the others are fine, but probably not Don… Good players won’t make stupid mistakes
Hey so I could use some help, I got this game a few weeks ago and just finished it and my goal is to make a competitive team with only OMs that I obtain through the actual mission (Triphoon and Osiriswyrm currently) and in game arks besides the main dragons. So far I’ve made it to the master league but have gotten stuck and not won much. Help would be greatly appreciated!
Raijin
Halopard
Barricadus
Krakhan
Osiriswyrm
Gremknight
Pyroviper
Arkwing
Luxknight
Nilomoth
Flamogun
Shadowlance
Chopperbug
Triphoon
Plasmorex
Again I don’t want to spend much, if any money, or catch all the dragons. I honestly have a lot of filler in the team that I don’t really use like shadowlance, plasmorex, and flamogun. And the top five group works really well to beat down half to three quarters of my opponents team but once my first arks are gone the rest go fast
I think if it was me I would take down your team easily, not to say you’re not good enough, it’s just the lineup isn’t vey competitive, let’s say, in master league…
First, Raijin would be the first target for most opponents right? And it’s mostly OHKO.
Secondly, your support arks are mostly in front of the ark you’re supporting, it means they will mostly be take out first, it’s rare in master leagues to see opponent not to go for the support ark first.
My suggestion is: get the four wyrms, the omega is a mile stone ark!
This is the team suggestion I have for you:
Arkwing
Chopperbug
Germknight
Barry
Luxknight
Raijin
Triphoon
Halopad
Shadowlance
Krakhan
Plasmorex
Orisiswyrm
Nilomoth
Pyroviper(the last one is not good for master league, should use a Don penguini instead)
Hey! I’m struggling with the PVP a lot lately do u have any recommendations for me? I’ll list my 12* to my 9* arks
Omegawyrm, Triphoon, Volcawolf, Barri, Tremorback, Infernowyrm, Dreadwolf, Luxknight, Bloodclaw, Arkwing, Goldenhorn, Plasmorex, Osiriswyrm (this weeks OM), Subzeratops, Vegitiger, Pegasion, Charcalynx, Coldheart, Necrodrake, Shisaguard, Snowja, Spinoflame, Astroleon, Shadowlance, Nilomoth, Angelon, Minespider, Stegospike. Most of these are Ss but there are a few As and Bs. I also own all in game (not OM) arks besides the ones I listed. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks.
Haha. Alright, well, i’m stuck in between expert’s and masters league with my current set up which is:
Arkwing S
Chopperbug S
Vegitiger B
Goldenhorn S
Bloodlcaw S
Osiriswyrm S
Plasmorex S
Subzeratops S
Magmawyrm B
Typhonwyrm B
Triphoon S
Stegospike B

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Having trouble when Kamiwurm and Halopard show up. It’s really hard to beat this combination especially if shadowstalker is supporting them. It’s like fighting 2 Kamiwurms.
Okay, I’ve been alternating between Masters and Expert so I made some tweaks. Before I tweak too much more (this lineup is untried because I’m busy today) I wanted to get some feedback (in order and grade S unless noted)
Shadowstalker
Chopperbug
Gremknight (grade A)
Arkwing
Stegospike (grade C)
Barricadus (grade A)
Scorpionix
Osiriswyrm
Triphoon
Goldenhorn
Subzeratops
Magmawyrm (grade E)
Angelon
Omegawyrm
Don Penguini
I also have Bloodclaw (grade C), Typhonwyrm (grade E), Plasmorex (grade S), Luxknight (grade S), Tremorback and Dreadwolf, Pegasion (grade B ), the standard wyrms+Necro and Coldheart, Nilomoth (grade S), Shadowlance (grade A), and Metallodius (grade C).
