Confident strike

Hey devs,
Can you explain to me how confident strike works now?

I tried valza. When he got full hp he does critical hit. But when he is poisoned for example, and got like 99.9999% HP (because of poison tick), he does half of the damage he does on full hp. It doesnt sound right

I feel ya but its not a bug, the high damage from cs is gained if its 100% but if it goes even the slightest (-1hp) then the high damage will be gone and will be replaced with preupdated cs damage.

Rockoid quake too op for valza

Well thats dissapointing. I was thinking there is a damage scale:

Lets say he does 5000 damage on 100%
Until 75% hp he should do 75% damage (3750)
On lower hp then 75% he should do non critical / some other scale (like for every 1% drop on HP there is a 2% drop on damage or something).

Making his attacks valid only at 100% hp doesnt really cut it guys… poison completly shut his attacks then

Critical should be 90/95%+. A protect focus monster with 0 attack stats hitting 1 damage is enough to ■■■■ it up, but it is nice to be able to have another couple of monsters brought into pvp, just need the crit adjusting slightly

Health correlates with confidence. It wasn’t 100% confident it could ohko the target. You were just unlucky…

The issue was caused by motor. After the nerf the game has gone into a meltdown. It can’t handle balance existing in it, so it took it out on valza. :joy:

Shield entrance of valza should be removed. It is OP now.

Those confident strike monsters have ways to easily heal up to 100% health, so it all makes sense by design and the fact we can do a little knock to their health to avoid a heavy hit is a nice counter in place to keep it balanced.

I was against the buff in the first place but now I’ve seen this is the way it works I like it. Jingledragon has some proper use now but isn’t overpowered.

I like the CS buff.

CS should one shot and negate hg at 100%. Otherwise, i might as well as use ultralux…

My dusicyon took 1damage off poison then I used confident strike on bane and did about 2k damage

It should 1 shot bane as it has element advantage, weird

The point here is what’s the use of healing if poison tick will shut it down. I mean cmon the buff is good I agree but the damage should also scale, like a ratio of hp to damage like how eruption and water spout damage works in pokemon.

Ummm no valza is good as it is, no need to remove shield entrance, use your tiamazus to shut down the shield.

Yeah poison is a pretty nasty counter now. However, my point was that each of these monsters can heal themselves to exactly 100% fairly easily so the way how the awesome damage can be countered with one little hit is maybe a balanced way of controlling the new strength of CS. I mean it basically works like sneak attack + stealth now.

True but they’re different. So it should have a balance of how much critical damage can it deal on the range of 70%-100%%

Poison is not stable when you face Chroma teams. Moreover, any stun entrance monster will make poisoned valza kill any of your monster before your move.
Every monster has a counter. So what? You guys have still kept crying and asking to nerf many monsters like motor though they have some counters. Now motor is nearly a trash as you required, but valza becomes OP in PVP. I used my valza to sweep almost half of my rival’s team when I have only two monsters left and won surprisingly.
One shot legend TT? What is the point to make a high defense monster? I don’t want to argue the absurd thought of devs to burf confidence strike, but valza should not be so hard to kill as a huge game changer/sweeper.

You cry Chrome? Get a protector, Valza with shield off and even minus 1 hp cant 1 shot even a legend TT.

It is not a bug.
It has to be exactly 100% HP to deal critical damage.
After this buff, these confident strikers can be very aggressive.
Yes, poison gas will ruin it but it has chance to miss, and still needs to wait 1 turn to tick.

The point is you force your enemy to use 1 turn to damage your confident striker first.
After that, If its HP is above 70%, it can still deal good damage.

.got you :ok_hand:
