Glad someone made a post about this

Funny how the last Christmas gave us Mistle, which is the worst mythic of all time, only to follow up on it by giving us another underwhelming mythic. Might be a tradition they’re starting.

Looks very underwhelming so far. Maybe give her the 2nd passive in her evolved form?

It’s good to have some crap mythics. We have plenty of crappy legends this balances things out  Mistletorment is the ultimate piece of trash. I got him and I’m happy with his uselessness.

Won’t it be good in ultimate challenge?

I’d roll for it, things like this end up getting ridiculous buffs down the line

Christmas was a time of year where they hand over bad monsters over the last years.

I think devs hate Christmas

2 years ago , they release Agelion, one ofstrong and beauty legend

Nope, Angelion was first released in the “Christmas in summer” egg in July-August in 2018.

The Christmas monsters are:

  • Santabeast (2015)
  • Jingledragon, Tinkerclaus, The Saintfeather (2016)
  • Blitzdyr, Baublebasher (2017)
  • Mistletorment (2018)
  • Glaciaron, Yukihime (2019)

Kuraokami was a New Years monster but perhaps that counts as a Christmas monster too.

what’s your thoughts on yukihime? the worst mythic IMO

I want drakion or voidress

This is what I wrote to someone on the day it released…

Second form = The TU is too high, reasonable strength but nothing special. It’s got 100% sleep but that’s it.

Final form = Nice power with the 100% sleep, counter to acceleration and in some scenarios can really mess up the opponent. High defence, shield entrance and speed surprisingly high for a sleep monster makes it more viable than it looks. With GT it definitely has potential, but most likely will be sidelined by the more flashy monsters.

I stand by what I wrote above. I think the Devs were cautious with this monster because it has 100% sleep and can slow enemies (which makes controlling the field very easy). They gave it high TU on the moves and restrictions so you can’t use the sleep moves if you have other sleep going on. However, compared to sleep monsters in the past which were given low speed and minimum defence Yukihime was given okay speed, high defence and shield entrance!

Overall I think they did a reasonable balancing job, but it went a bit too far. I love that the second form has the moves but with higher TU and the bloodfury changed to bloodthirst. That’s a great way to power down a second form while keeping it interesting.

What I’d suggest as a buff to Yukihime is the following:

  • (Second form) Lower the TU of Fatal Sleep (250 → 200) and of Frozen Heart (200 → 160)
  • (Final form) Lower the TU of Fatal Sleep (200 → 160) and of Frozen Heart (160 → 130)
  • (Both forms) Make Frozen Heart also be affected by the passive Frozen Touch so it increases enemy TU by +110% on their next move and +10% for all moves after that

With the TU reduction Fatal Sleep will chain much better into Bloodfury (135TU, the enemy dies after 100s). It is a bigger payoff for Yukihime’s slow speed and means you can continually sleep the new monster that enters to make the battle a 3v3 with them losing a monster every 135s (remember ofc there is purify and other counters so this is not OP or guaranteed by any stretch). Currently if you accelerate Yukihime you get a similar effect, so perhaps that is just what you need to do.

With the TU reduction to Frozen Heart it becomes less situational. Taking 109TU (less if accelerated) to force an enemy out of play for a while is very useful, especially if it is also slowing the enemy down permanently. This can be used to diminish threats and open the enemy team up to being out-valued over the course of a battle.

Yukihime doesn’t have a big flashy move like most low speed monsters, which means it can easily be underrated. However, if it sits on the field for too long then it can give you enough control over a battle that it gets you the win. Having high defence and the shield helps it do that. It’s good as it is, but with the TU reduction I suggest I think the monster would be awesome. Lowering TU further would make it too strong.

P.S. All of this is written before we’ve had time to properly see it in action. Like most mythics, we won’t see it being used much for a LONG time. Also, it has good strength anyway and not every monster needs to be crazily strong. The more I think about it, the more I’m fine with how it is.

you cant use her fatal sleep if an enemy monster is already asleep whats the point of GT

She’s the worst limited mythic by a mile in my view. She’s a #yikes

Sleep, slow control and bloodfury with the first two of those moves being high TU so GT can be helpful. I can imagine once bloodfury is charged there won’t be much reason to use either of the high TU moves but if you’ve got a GT lined up shortly after Yukihime’s attack you can use one without so much penalty.

If the TU of the skills is lowered as I suggest this is not really a thing at all, but it was something that popped into my mind as a first impression. GT into 100% sleep is one of the cases where GT is worth considering.

Give it up. It sucks

Guys please stop asking for powerful monsters, the power creep is already very problematic. It’s ok if a couple of monsters are gimmicky or straight up suck.

I disagree. Yes there are some powerful monsters out there, but if no new moves/monsters got included in the first place, then the game would’ve became boring very quickly. Power creep has always been a necessary evil, no matter how many times you protest its existence.

Not true: you can always try to create something new instead of just making something strictly better of what was there prior.

Also don’t get me wrong: I don’t have any problems with power creep per se, but there are limits. Just make something slightly better, there’s no need to create degenerate stuff like Scorpiogeist, which outclasses every other poison monster in like 3 fronts.
