Hey guys, I don’t post in this often, but I feel this needs to be talked about. This game is 75% luck, 25% what you can manage to do with said luck.
Encounters are based on chance. Getting ingredient monsters to show up is a chance, let alone catching one when they do.
A lot of moves are based on “a X% chance to…” Speaking of which, anyone figure out poison damage logic yet? One minute poison damage is 1-30, the next it’s 245 and you monster dies. Also, pure chance.
So the one part of the game we can actually control (spending our money on gems to ACTIVELY BUY what we want in the game) is also based 100% on chance!
In my opinion, something needs to be done about this. Put a gem price on certain monsters. Add a bribe feature for ingredients. Give players control, instead of a “chance” to maybe (probably not) get what they want.
I realize this is a problem many people have talked about and voiced, but we have an opportunity to work together with the devs if we can all cooperate and fix these problems.

All part of its in my opinion. Games are meant to make you grind, but in a way that’s not boring. I would just rather them add things like at certain levels, I can trade tickets for experience. It gets boring playing the same mission over and over and over. There’s a lot of things they can do to make this game even better than it is.
for me the most important thing is pvp. iam soooo looking forward to their pvp release since this is more about teambuilding and skill. and these things are what i enjoy the most in strategic games!
Dude, I didn’t get my first legend until my 22nd egg, AFTER I beat the main story, and I coped just fine. It certainly wasn’t easy, but I think that’s one of the things I like most about this game; it offers a legitimate challenge. This game really doesn’t rely on luck as much as you say it does. If you get good mons, fine. If you don’t, then well, I guess you just try to cope with it, make do with what you got, and take a moment to actually figure things out and decide what strategies work best. That’s what I did. For instance, frillzy and beetler were among the first mons I ever got. They’re by no means the best ones in the bunch, but they do have sleep bomb. I picked up rosaqueen and chillqueen, who are found on the 2nd and 3rd islands respectively I believe, and they have dreamhunt. So I had the four coordinate, and they really did pull it off quite well. It was a huge struggle, but I eventually pulled through. And I loved every minute of it.
Not sure if this is mentioned but poison damage is based on how many seconds pass - it is not random.
Taking out the randomness out of eggs now would upset many people who have spent nearly 5000$ if id have to estimate how much legendaries they got while they could probably do with a 1000$ after the change. Moreover if you let peopl straight up buy monsters everyone will end up with the same monsters using the same strat which will be the most boring pvp you will ever see.
I think it’s fine - they should just focus more on creating events that are non ticket based or other features that can be repeated to kill time from which you can get some rewards.
There are tons of options but don’t forget their dev team is not large judging by forum activeness of the game staff. I bet they are working around the clock already to bring out new features and this game is probably consuming more time from them then you might think
This is all interesting stuff. Appreciate the poison feedback too, I’ve never noticed that honestly. So one more question, what’s so wrong with wanting to buy one legendary? Say I’d only want a Rexo, is there something wrong with the ability to only purchase one monster? Seems to take care of everyone buying the same team.
This is my opinion but I actually like chance of getting certain monsters and not being guaranteed a certain monster because I can guarantee when pvp finally comes out that there would be a ton of the same teams and not much originality.
poison damage is based on both how many seconds pass and some random (1~9 per second I guess). You can use skip to check when your monster has been poisoned.
if they would limit the feature to buying a ONE single legendary and you can choose from the whole set as a one time off thing I agree this would not ruin it… that feature I’d actually appreciate a lot
Matter of fact, I think I heard that they’re planning do it soon. I heard someone(shomy, I think?) mention that the devs were going to make it so that everyone could get a legendary.
