It’s because of this kind of nonsense that the best pve tactics were killed. Vine lock, purpie beam , chimunka lock etc…
P2w already have huge advantage. So making it completely p2w is not good.
Let’s do that another way than putting death immunity on everything, please… just the most lazy and boring way to do it.
I disagree with this. This is just bad game design. Difficulty should not come from not owning a certain monster, it should come from innovative and complex battles that can be practiced and eventually completed.
Unfortunately there is already a precedent, back in the day when Geartyrant was the only top strategy in UC. During those days you simply couldn’t compete at all without owning it. Another one was Aurodragon. Not having those monsters almost made me quit since it was so infuriating that the devs weren’t able to design their Ultimate challenge in a way that incorporated many strategies, not only one. Basically the ultimate challenge was to get lucky and hatch Geartyrant. Does that sound nice to you? I don’t want that to happen again.
My problem with UC is that it lasts way too long and it’s just boring.
I’m not even P2W and I’m not struggling because I focus on these PvE mythics anyways XD
I realised why I hate playing against her. She usually never kills monsters with mirror death revenges and when she does, it usually with Bomb Rebirth so I can not copy her ![]()
i’m really not a guy who ask for nerfs @Dev_VKC but Yukimihine is ridiculously op, I mean I don’t even gonna say anything else, that is just enough for everyone to understand me
She’s good, but she gets countered by poison and she’s slow, there are ways to deal with her. I beaten people who had her in a sleep setup.
She is good, easily countered by poison and slow monsters
Why are u guys saying what everyone knows? Of course poison counter sleep but does anyone use Asmodia in 7th spot? Or any other early game poison monster? No right? Well she’s used in FL or 5th spot so it’s not really an option
I don’t play poison in my team (dont have asmodia nor Astra yet) so I lose to her automatically if I don’t kill her before she takes a turn. Thank god she is slow. If we ever see more good control units that support Fyrielle and Yukihime like better Bastia, we will see less entrance monsters but at what cost? ![]()
Do you have Sepheris? She is also a good counter to it + a good meta counter currently.
U would lose anyway because Asmodia and astra would sit in 12-13th spot soooooo when they enter she already kill ur team so doesn’t matter anyway, she also has blood move so after 1 kill with the fatal she doesn’t need to sleep anymore, she can just void kill everything
I don’t, and I don’t like to put a monster to counter another specifical monster, because she doesn’t even need an strat, just put her take the whole control
There are a bunch of sleep immunity monsters that can be played to counter her and they are strong and many of them can one shot her
@Dev_VKC monsters with sleep skills (other than Counter Sleep) should not have sleep immunity / insomnia.
I find it really weird so many people complain about death immunity. I mean, there are lots of other ways to kill monsters. UC playable monsters are diverse with -X% HP, mirror revenge, super high damage moves. I think it’s more interesting to have a few monsters that can’t be killed with one of the methods.
Where I completely agree is meeting Astrajlyth in UC. That’s just annoying, because the monster is not good enough to use so it’s basically trolling other people and depending on how you kill it you may have to face it multiple times.
With regards to UC diversity and difficulty, we’re in a far better place than we’ve ever been. As Exu pointed out, many years ago there were a few key monsters you needed in order to get far in the event. Now there’s loads of options. The AI has been drastically improved to target Nephthys/Aurodragon earlier, go for revenge monsters with self-sacrifice moves, etc. which has made the event more challenging and team performance less about having particular monsters that make you life a lot easier.
Honestly, I’m sure that many players could get further in UC with their collections than they think but knowing the exact way to build their team and how to pilot it in the battles is tricky.
Here’s a tip I said before:
Cyberoach is amazing for UC.
Anyone who cares about UC would have got it when it released from UC itself. It’s the best UC tool we’ve ever been given as players.
Building around Cyberoach is a little tricky, because your team will be continually poisoned. However, if you learn how to play with it you should be able to win enough to get far in the event.
Why? Lock tactics? I saw a few people use it but don’t really understand it
It has 75% revive chance so it’s very easy to duplicate from making the Neoroach in their team that gives you another Cyberoach.
Both when it enters or you make a Neoroach, the enemies get poisoned. Each Cyberoach can do -50% HP with a 130TU move on poisoned enemies. So you can kill anything except poison immunes very easily.
Them dying to death revenge doesn’t matter much because they’re expendable once you’ve got a few. You can kill any mirror revenge with them no problem because they are not too threatening to face.
So they are very suited to UC. For just one monster, it does a lot.
To build around it you want anything that will slow down the enemy team or ensure you get turns with your Cyberoach to create the Neoroach in their team. Things like stun, give turn and petrify revenge is good. For example, Hanzowolf combines well. The absolute best thing I’ve found to use alongside is Celestiarchion. That pair was the main win condition of my team this time.
Here’s the team I used back in June where I first built Cyberoach and got 1st place:
I tried to improve it for this UC but had some trouble figuring out the FL I wanted to use. In the above team I discovered that Bovolcus and Atrahasis were very bad to use close to Cyberoach and Brynhildr died too easily due to the poison.
I did a battle with it in uc and it took about 30 mins cause my opponent had it too lol
