Some moves are broken even in SE and this is totally nuts.
Ok a SE is full attack and deals a lot of damage but I see monsters like freezcobra dealing same or more damage with detox strike or poison burst.
True hit works fine on SE.
I mean if this is some kinda joke is not fun anymore!
DonT literally at the same time as writing this thread you were writing in Line chat about the current 1st place PvP team saying it’s “the most broken thing ever” when it’s a team stacked full of awakened mythics.
You then went on to say that person has 95% win rate and the game is getting more and more unbalanced.
So which is it?
A - Some super epics can one-shot mythics and that’s too strong.
B - Awakened mythics are too strong that other teams can’t compete.
Btw they’ve definitely made a higher proportion of moves do high damage since the release of mythics. However, I think that’s a good thing because otherwise mythics would be unstoppable.
Right now mythics are quite a lot stronger than legendaries so a well built team using lots of them is insanely powerful compared to what most people are running. I’m not surprised Cancer can get 1st with a team like his but throughout the history of NM the top players have always had more/better monsters than other people and it’s what has helped them get top positions.
I don’t mind having around very good SEs, but some moves are just super above the average for their stats, for example DETOX STRIKE can one-shot anything that is not storm on Freezcobra with only 3.2k attack.
POISON BURST dealt 4k on Aethereon, always Freezcobra.
The fire SE with true hit can One-shot any mythic with a single AP in the enemies FL (true hit is born to stop AP spam not to be critical on single AP).
However the damage need to improve with stats, so True hit of SE need to be less viable that titans true hit. Did I explain myself?
Point of this thread is very legit but I won’t support readjustment of damage acc to rarity . It will make pvp boring for those without awakened mythics .
I think that the issue is the current meta. Look at this video of HI pvp. The gameplay looks unrecognizable, even putting aside the three monsters in fl without immunities or entrance moves etc. I think that the pvp meta has become mostly focused on OHKO’s, and as a result a lot of moves have been massively buffed relative to their user’s actual attack stat.
Freezecobra can one-shot only full attack mythics, or standard attack mythics with low health. It doesn’t one-shot legendaries with high defence. It can only kill full attack storm legendaries with low health. Its low attack definitely holds it back compared to Polaboss who one-shots all mythics and even all storm legendaries. Polaboss only can’t one-shot high defence storm mythics.
Poisoned burst recently got revamped to be one of the few very powerful poison moves. Some monsters like Nectareon set it up well but to do the super high damage you need almost all your teammates poisoned.
True hit has seen damage increase after damage increase. It was way too weak originally but now it’s an exceptional counter to protectors. It might be a bit too powerful but to be honest it needs to be strong enough to one-shot with a lot of the monsters and beyond that it doesn’t matter too much about it being stronger. Sure, a couple of the lower attack monsters now one-shot with it but there’s also the huge advantage that true hit is viable in PvE against buffed enemies.
Yeah but this isn’t anything new. NM PvP was boring back at the beginning (when it was like HI PvP). Random “hit all” attacks back and forth is not very engaging and battles would generally revolve around one crucial move then the whole thing was decided. That would be: a TT with a blood move sweeper charged, a shocking entrance when the opponent had no stun protection or a blood move charged when you have a lot of give turn monsters around.
In the way NM PvP is now there’s a lot more opportunity to swing matches, thinking ahead about lining up the critical attacks and thoughts in team building about how to balance all the different aspects you want in your team as well as getting the most out of each monster by what’s positioned around it.
This thread is embarrassing tbh.
This reminds me to a good ol’ hardcore p2w MMO, I played when I was younger tough, where I took some heavy whale down with 2 friends.
Dude was like a raid boss, we stunlocked him clean for 30 minutes chipping away his health, while every touch of him would 1 shot us all.
Dude went on a raging rant afterwards in the forums, how he should not be able to die to 3 “noobs” with his gear.
Fun times, but let’s not do that with NM.
