Mythic Mons Suck

Now I know I am making a premature assumption but I want to open this topic orthe opinions directly related to the move sets of the monsters for those who have played the new story.

Honestly I think they suck. Especially being a “super legendary”

Elephant > Mistletorment
Snow dragon just really doesn’t seem too great. His snowslide is a promising move and I can see how it can be abused but it has no charged moves. The yuki’s would be food to charge my blood moves since it’s weak to stun and sleep. It does have a very fast send back and hold ground and high defense so it can be very tough to kill, but these are just my opinions.

I would honestly have just liked reworks to the old monsters vs new monsters ¯_(ツ)_/¯

what do y’all think?

On the other hand , if it had movesets that truly lived up to it’s name; people would have made a huge ruckus untill it’s nerfed to a point where no-brainer all legendary teams could outplay you (my lagodragon got nerfed :frowning: it’s their mistake not running a high speed Frontline or gt counters or roaring entrance )… So yes, it’s just another monster with an extra star for reasons obvious !

Well i have to agree their movesets are a letdown especially considering how powerful some of the new legendary releases have been. When i first saw the mythic tag i thought they were going to be super crazy monsters but they werent. In saying that i think they may be just starting us off on the lower end so that we get use to the mythics. There may be super powerful ones planned for the future. If they were normal legend releases they would be on the lower end as far as their moves go, their stats are the only thing that makes them worthwhile. I guess we just have to see how they perform in pvp and other events before we cast judgement on them.

All this stuff is preemptive, but it looks like all the new “legendaries” to come to the game are going to be mythics. It’s the new norm I guess… allowing for power creep to happen but with the monsters having higher cost.

These two in particular are more of the mediocre type of monsters. Mistletorment doesn’t have much to offer other than an insane amount of health. Kuraokami is like an alternate Onigeist which has some great potential with it’s high defence, ability to heal and great sweeping skill but, like Thaiger points out, without a Yuki on the field it is left a bit helpless. I think Kurao will be totally fine with the right set up. It’s on the upper end of monsters but not S+ or S. I have no doubt there will be mythic monsters coming that deserve the title and the higher cost.

My concern about mythic monsters is to do with the stats. Thing is, while their stats look a lot higher they actually don’t make that much difference. Defence is ultimately worked out as whatever “stat arrangement” they have so these two mythics with 6300 defence actually take the same damage as an Angelion with 5200 defence. All that matters is they’ve got more health (roughly 25% more than a legendary). If I were you I’d ignore the numbers on the stats and basically assume they do +25% more damage and take +25% more damage to kill.

This stat boost is obviously significant, but given that the moveset is the same as what legendaries have it’s not necessarily worth the +4 cost. What makes legendaries so valuable over super epics isn’t the higher stats, it’s the more complete movesets which generally include: more/stronger passives, a secret skill, lower TU moves and stronger moves. Without mythics offering more than just a stats boost I can’t see us putting them in top tier teams unless their moveset is top notch.

They have higher stats hence the not so great movesets

I think they are fine if they had op movesets to go with high stats they would be broken

They devs want rarer monsters to give feeling of getting them special they have sightly higher cost at max form hence the higher stats but they don’t want a sudden power creep all at once

Yeah you might be right. They’ve just added 5 to the rare egg pool so I guess it’s time to use all my rare gems! I’ll let you guys know what the deal is with mythics when I get them all

Correct me if I’m wrong but the way I read it is that you need 3 dupes to evolve a mystic

Kuraokami is an absolute gem for a skillful player. You have to put a lot of thought in if you want to be succesful with him. At least it’s not some Magmarinus or Delugazar who can be used succesfully by retards too :joy:. Now they only need to release a water stun counter monster… :stuck_out_tongue:

Kuraokami will be used with retribution lineups

Yep … no mythic potions… 3 dupes merge to form one mythic… Fusion babie :kissing_heart:

I think so

Gonna point out that f2p will never ever awaken one of these.

They are 12 cost with legendary stats and moveset, so they should be good regardless. However, I don’t know whether you can have the secret skill on them and you can’t pot them.

Question is whether they are treated with the same way as regular evolution.

Do they have locked skills in second form?

I agree that snow dragon can be good in situations. But it doesn’t have stun immunity or converter. The only ret monster that’s viable is Angelion or else it needs to replace one. I can’t fit it into my ret team.

Also, high defense is great, but blood moves will still sweep them.

People are kicking off about the mythic, because they supersede legendaries but i’m not too worried. The odds of hatching one is back, but enough to “awaken” one is ridiculous. All the players who are upset because they’ve built up a solid bank of legendaries need to remember that. I don’t think we’ll see too many fully upgraded mythical in PVP. Also they do come at a greater cost and they’ll still lose to fury, thirst etc.

I’m not a fan personally, but also not too worried. You’d take BB or Gazer over any of them right?

I’d take gazer over any monster right now lol.

I’d take penguinator or gyomurai over them tbh
