What's going on with this Game?

Let’s start:
My name is Jesé, I have been playing this game for a long time, almost 5 years.

4 years seeing a lot of bugs, errors and more.
Nevertheless, that’s normal in every game.

Let’s talk about Matchmaking System :person_facepalming:t2::

Right now I am playing a level 39 hero rank account with a 60% of victory and 121 team cost.

Why Do I have to face those strong Players with rank 100 or more. This guy below is 220

This Battlelog below is not fair

Do I have to face those players just because I won 2 o 3 matches consecutively?

  • When I read VKC’s post about splitting PvP into Leagues I thought it would be a big improvement, I thought I would no longer be battling players with triple my rank. But everything turned out to be a farce and the opposite: Fewer legendary potions and fewer rare gems in exchange for more gems. In addition, we are all required to rise to Grand Champion or we will not receive all the rewards, not to mention that we must pay 20 free and/or Paid to obtain a Plus of rewards.
Low rank players are still forced to face much stronger players

This big change really is nonsense.

If the PvP matchmaking system was by hero rank, it would be much better.
That thing about Leagues is a meaningless pantomime

Example of a fair matchmaking system:
Hero Rank 15 - 49
Hero Rank 50 - 99
Hero rank 100 - higher

If a player with Hero Rank 30 wins 10 consecutive matches, he must face players with Hero Rank 50 to 99 until his winning streak is broken.
The same thing happens in the PvP ranking:
A low ranked player (30 or 40 example) receives 300 to 600 Ranking Points, and at the same time has the misfortune of facing high ranks and will lose 1000 ranking points (Something very unfair)

This has been a highly discussed topic for years, and every change is detrimental and unproductive.

On the other hands (errors I have seen)

Mythic Thornaxion (2594) after use Laser Blast, its next turn the skills glow as if he had used Charge Energy. A visual error but important

Mantisanurai: sometimes after use its secret skill on a stun revenge monster, that revenge doesn’t work, the stun animation works, but no monster get stunned and the immunity to stun effect is showed (I have the video with the evidence)

I hope you fix this unfair matchmaking system in the next update.
Thanks

Why are you playing a low HR account and not your main?

helps when you want to try different monsters and dont have the resources to get them all
i have 2 accs too and both my alt and main collection differ alot

Because he feels like it, he plays with whatever accounts he wants, that doesn’t break any rules. That’s not the right question

Man, do you want to torment the low ranks with your huge and selected collection of monsters that hides behind a low rank account? I see the matchmaking as unfair for low-ranked players most of the time, but I see it as more unfair for a veteran player to get a small account with the best monsters and torment the newbies who start, that scares them away. I don’t know how that could be fixed.

You did realize that he’s smurfing and this is the type of activity that makes newbies’ experiences worse.

@Dev_VKC Here is the same dilemma again. The problem is in the matchmaking system. The new league system is nice, but the same can’t be said for the matchmaking system. And that is precisely why lower-ranked players are having such a hard time moving up the leagues. I was able to complete it in 2 days, but I have more than 5 years of playing and rank 226. And sometimes I got stuck in the leagues because of the opponents I faced. Imagine someone of rank say 30 to 90 being paired with someone of my rank. No matter how strong he is, of course I’m going to beat him. The point is, regardless of what league you’re in, that doesn’t have to influence the matchup which is what seems to be happening here. For example, if I am in the penultimate league even though I have rank 40, why would they match me with someone who has rank 230 just because we are in the same league, this is totally unfair.

I would’ve thought this is exactly why a league system would exist. Does everyone get to be grand champion by only fighting others of equal power level or should they face tough opponents? Surely they have to face tough people!

I think this forum post is incredibly bold. You’re showcasing how you’ve built a highly synergistic team of legendaries at hero rank 39 and you want to face other people your rank, only facing people of equal power if you get a win streak and then immediately not facing them again if you get one loss.

What on earth are all the new players meant to experience?? They already have to meet various people who put a lot of money into the game at the start. Why do they also need to be facing people with many years experience who have overpowered low hero rank accounts?

For the developers I imagine it’s crucial the new player experience is a good one. That means purposefully trying to separate accounts like the one above from a more standard hero rank 39 account. I really hope there are lots of measures in place to protect normal new players.

If you’re a person purposefully keeping your HR low and building your account to be very strong then be aware this is basically exploiting the game. The game is not designed to be played like this, you’re meant to steadily rank up over time. Do not expect to get any benefit for doing this exploit. The game should, ideally, be designed to not allow this exploitive behaviour to get easier opponents in PvP.

Yeah, it’s funny that this guy probably shot himself and his smurf brothers in the foot with this post. I really lost the plot when he started talking about what’s “fair”

I don’t think the solution is to put hero ranks by tier, because there are many players who don’t care about leveling up, they only play PvP (and it’s perfect that it’s that way) I’ll show you this player:

His account is beautiful, and I think he could easily put more monsters in the battle if it weren’t for the team cost limit.

If in some way player ranks should be measured, it should be by the number of mythical monsters awakened, at a certain amount, they put you at the maximum rank. (it is not the best solution, but it brings closer to an equal game for everyone).

I know there are many more variables, such as each person’s personal ability, etc… but there are variables that are impossible to measure, such as luck, or RNG

Completely agree with you

What is this? A moba game? Moba games are 5v5 player. This game is based on a cost limit, something that gives or takes away your advantage

Yes, You see in the screenshot 4 or 5 legendary Monsters. And that’s all I have because my low cost. You have said nothing.

You saw my team, that’s just because I saved gems to Ultra evolve some legendaries. A lot of new players, with or without experience are having the same unfair problem with this Matchmaking.
Did you read when I said hero rank 15 - 49?
That’s fair

You can give some idea of an improvement for matchmaking. Lower rank players should face Lower rank Players too, no top players lol .

I have faced players like this, And it doesn’t bother me at all. I see it as a rival of the same cost but with money

We cannot create this bug. Does this happen every time? Please let me know more details.

This one too. Please send me the video.

It’s not fair, indeed. In Neomon, team cost or the number of monsters isn’t as crucial as team synergy. These factors only become significant when facing opponents with equally good team building and proper monster collections.

I’ve experienced, and likely many top PvP users have as well, matches where an opponent could only kill one or two of my monsters, or couldn’t even break through my frontline. This scenario isn’t uncommon even in top PvP battles due to the hard counters each team presents and the wide range of player Hero Rank at this level (HR120~ HR @Unown ).

In our terms, farming noobies is considered exploiting. We won’t punish users for this since it’s not cheating, but we will do our best to prevent it to ensure new players have a better PvP experience.

Thank you for understanding.

I’m not saying that from time to time they have to face stronger players, that’s not the detail. What I’m basing this on is that league position shouldn’t influence the matchup. It was said a long time ago that matchmaking is not based on hero rank but on your results and that if you win a lot you will have to fight with stronger players, and that is fine, I am not against it, there is the three-level system, low level, medium and higher level and depending on the results it would be the level of each player, this is how it should be. As it is now, it is easy for a player of rank 220, for example, who is at a higher level, to be paired with someone of a lower level just because they are in the same league, that is the detail I want to point out. Of course if a rank 40 player who is for example at the top level is paired with someone at rank 230 who is also at the top level, it is more than fair. I don’t know if you understood what I want to point out.

Actually a winrate of 40% and above is good. People just seems crazy they want to win all matches. Even I started with low winrate and now I have 90%/ or above most of the times. If u win at low tier a lot it means u r too good so it’s fair to matchup with toptier player. Not to mention abuse of smurfers. Only thing that’s not going good for new player is new system. However I still don’t feel that competitive at my level.

And not only neo, in all games newbie, low collection, etc gets easily beaten by strong ones. This is a nature of game. And I have experience of more than dozens games , however I play 2 games for now due to my study and that’s also for sometimes. So relax, all of your guys complaints/ requests will make game more player friendly and its always good to hear for me. Keep it up iron man☺️

And from long time I want to say that old player may leave game eventually but for games growth it should be new player friendly and appreciate with really some great rewards especially at anniversary time. I mean people who start game at anniversary gets 1 random s+ tier new legg. At earlier period, attachment with some great mons make them stick to game and in long run = greater revenue . Many games like summoner war are very generous at anniversary and neo is also f2p friendly but to make new player not leave the game they really should think once ig. Good graphics, gaccha system, f2p friendly, game is also not that complex ,and best is the idea of game even with all these neo still hasn’t got respect what it deserves. And only reason I see is failure to make new player stick to game. And I say fk to these Smurfs .Tq
