Better than neo monsters for me.

First everything seems kind of fresh and better than Neo Monsters. Graphics, art and music are miles better than in Neo, UI is nice, Dupes have a much more interesting function than in Neo. Also an interesting new battle system… Many great things.
Then you realise the chance to get a SSR is 1%… Ok so are Mythics in Neo… But… Then you finish the offline story (which is the best the game has to offer) and enter online story where you suddenly get disrupted constantly because your mana runs out (same as tickets in Neo, but battles seem more costly). Also bye bye free movement and catching wild monsters. So this way it’s comparable to Neo. Wouldn’t you expect a game that is 4 years newer to have addressed these issues?
PvP is generally bad: If your characters have a level deficit you will most likely lose just because of that, or due to a lack in SSR units which are a lot better than SR. There are a lot less units than monsters in Neo and currently significantly less strategies and combos you can use.
And now for the worst part in game: Evolving monsters is much harder than in Neo (even epic characters need super epic ultra evolution items, the materials don’t have a 100% drop rate and the battles drain all of your stamina) and the diversity in online events is literally non existent. They have made the same event over and over again from the release of the game, which gets boring really really fast. Must be the fifth or sixth same event in a row now. So what will you do when you finally evolve your monsters after endless grinding? Do the same online event again and again. At least in Neo there are circulating events…
As far as devs go, they literally don’t communicate at all on the forum. It seems they don’t care at all how the community feels about the game, only the money coming into their pockets. At least Neo Monsters devs do communicate and read the forum. Oh btw in Evertale bikini skins of the female characters with different movesets were released literally just to milk some cash.
TL;DR Game is graphically and artistically greater than Neo Monsters and has potential to be better as a game but a greedy approach prevents it from reaching it. At its current state, it’s nowhere near as good as Neo Monsters.

I still enjoy neoMonsters way more than Evertale and my account is F2P and I have 3 SSRs. There is literally no content after finishing online story. I agree mostly on Exu’s statement. It’s still very early to judge or even compare the games now.
My advice would be to create several accounts and login 14 days to get decent soul stones. Whenever a good SSR like Astrid is coming up tru to get her. Start with the account you get actually a SSR from those free soul stones. That’s how I started and 5 accounts were necessary to actually get one with a SSR. 1% is just a crappy rate to get decent characters

@Alvarez the game is definitely worth the .99 cents for act 1 alone. I agree with starting multiple accounts to get an ssr from the get go though. It’s really hard to stand a chance in pvp if your opponent has 3 SSR and you have 0.
The game with be updated and have a lot more content in the future. I remember neomonsters starting off the same way and now they have endless content

You better off playing epic seven or sdsgc they both over way more then zigzag ever did
I hear you that there is definitely downsides to the game but it’s only .99 cents. I had a blast playing through act 1 and didn’t even get an SSR until a month and a half of playing.
