When they understand that the game doesn’t care about helping free-to-play players, they won’t be so bothered.
I just want to emphasize this so that my bosses may see this great idea we have never thought of before.
The problem with many new players and some F2P players is that they’re not used to this type of game. They think that in just 2 hours they can have more monsters than Coltraz. This is a gacha game — you have to play for a long time to make big progress. In one month, they won’t have 5 awakened mythics. All players started the same way. Right now, the game is very generous with rewards for new players. Many of us, when we started, didn’t have any of that, and nobody complained.
The pity system and the sanctuaries are pure luck based on digital code. I hope they never go to a casino if they’re already complaining about the advantages Neo Monsters offers.
no offense man, but you just sound mad that you got bad luck and are blaming the devs for it
I mean, this may be a lackluster argument, but this game feels like it was made for “slow, yet constant” progress. Kinda going off what Blooming said, you can’t just play for a few weeks and expect to get on the level of people who have been playing for years, ya know?
The sanctuary shouldn’t be changed. Currently, there is a sanctuary every 15 days. With the worst luck, you would get 222 gems per month, and with the best luck, 1110 gems per month. If the sanctuary’s rates are increased, the developers will limit it to once per month.
I don’t really blame you; I mean, I’d want more gems too. The thing is, we get PLENTY of gems already. Login bonuses, weekly events, biweekly events, anniversaries, sanctuaries, PvP, etc,. I feel like if they cranked up the amount of gems you get from stuff like the Sanctuary they’d probably just lower the frequency of the shrine to balance it out or lower the amount of gems from other stuff. The point is that I don’t see the devs ever doing it, thats all.
The finite gems aren’t really part of my point because like you mentioned, they are nonrenewable and can be exhausted. The event rewards are kind of weird because some events, like, say, Dungeon Challenge give a lot of gems very quickly. But then again, some give them much slower, but I would say in general they give you plenty for what they are. Even with the bare minimum amount of Shrine gems, +100, is pretty good. Best source of gems, really.
I WILL give you this, though; I did a lot of thinking on your “six months per awakened mythic” estimate, and you seem pretty close, ignoring finite gems and anniversaries. But, once again I say that this game is definitely a game where you need to be patient and wait to get things.
sorry, I joined the forum yesterday and I have NO idea how to. maybe ask someone more experienced or a moderator?
They say we get between 7,000 and 8,000 gems a year? Even if that were true, the maximum to awaken a Mythic monster using the pity counter is 4,800 gems, more than half of what they claim to give us. So are you telling us we have to play for over a year for a single Mythic monster? If they don’t want to give away more gems, they should at least lower the pity counter for monsters. A friend spent 15 shots on a banner yesterday and got 17 Legendary monsters, none of them the guaranteed one from the banner. And getting a Mythic monster is much harder now; we have to wait until the anniversary to start with at least 3 or 4 awakened monsters and then save up for a whole year to awaken anything again. Wouldn’t it simply be easier to lower the pity counter to 20? It would be much better if, since they’re not giving us more gems, they at least made it easier to awaken a mythical monster for 800 gems, with a maximum of 3600. I hope they take my opinion into account.
Patience is the key man. They are increasing the reward gems of limited time events. Trust me you can awaken 8 mythic with 8000 gems with proper planning. This year i awaken 7 mythic with 7400 gems, 5 in anniversary which took almost 4400 gems and 2 with regular special eggs which took almost 3000 gems and I almost hit pity once on both( 28 pack in one and 30 with non pity in another😂). So don’t be desperate and save your gems for next anniversary (6 month).
As a F2P you should spend a big amount on anniversary. You can get 4 mythic in 4000 on anniversary. Half anniversary is also great where you have to hatch 4 mythic in one banner to awaken, which can be achieved by 1000 gems per mythic. If you are concerned about pity just spend on the both anniversary. You will get 8 mythic for 8000 + 1 6star ticket mythic in a year. It’s confirmed to get 80 6star tickets a year.
One last tip if you are desperate and can’t wait long, although i will not recommend this. Don’t aim to awaken , just check your luck on one banner per month. Select a mythic which is good at ultra evolved state like momo, alyce, vivi. Spent 80 gems on that banner just to check your luck. Do this maximum once a month which will cost 80x12 = 960 a year . I personally checks my luck a lot and 50% times it grabs a new mythic or legend for me but still I will not recommend it.
Why would you use averages for the number of gems you get in the year but then the most extreme end of bad luck in hatching? That’s just bad maths. Use averages.
Here’s some very real numbers from my account in the last 13 months (30th Oct 2024 - 30th Nov 2025, picked these dates because I’m on almost identical gems at each point and it’s a perfect 13 months):
306x 10-packs hatched = 12240 gems spent total
4788 gems from fortune shrine (21 + 1x anniversary)
So that’s 7452 gems from events during that time.
Adjust that for monthly average…
941.5 total: 368 from shrine, 573 from events
Bear in mind that my shrine average results are roughly 1/10 below average (~200 gems this year, average is roughly 225 or maybe 225-230). I could’ve got very close to 1000 gems a month. There are some small edge cases involved but honestly they don’t matter overall.
With all that hatching, I awakened something like 11-12 mythics.
The tL;Dr is what Akash said… “Patience is the key man”. If you play the game and are careful with your gem spending you will build a collection over time. It takes years to get a collection of mythics.
What he says is true. In just 3 months, I went from 500 to 1500 gems. I’m a university student, and what I lack is time. I only participate in events that reward gems, and I don’t complete them because, as I said, I don’t have much time. Before, I couldn’t finish some events because I barely had any legendaries and only one or two mythics that hadn’t been awakened. It’s all a matter of patience. When the anniversary came around, I managed to awaken my first mythic with 880 gems, and I even had enough left over for another one. With a little effort, I was able to get many mythics, either from banners or rare gems, and that motivated me to keep going. Having everything in a short time bores me, in my opinion, because it shows that you like things easy, and I prefer to work harder to get more. For example, Daji helped me complete the island, and that made me very happy, because before I couldn’t finish that event due to a lack of good monsters. Now I see that saving gems for a few months is worth it, and I feel proud.
Besides, the game is designed to be played for a long time if you enjoy it, right? Because if you got everything quickly, you wouldn’t get bored so soon, since you already have what you like, and you’d quit anyway, wouldn’t you?
Ok ok ok ok Hoooooooold on a sec here bro
We making farming stuff now easier and now we adding clothes on the mythics?
You have no clue how insane this is man. I knew there was something going when i saw momo 2nd form covered with clothes in the banner, then to see the gabriell having an actual cute shirt on.
Bro this might be one of the best updates ever
Hello Mr. Killer Dog, I hope you’ve had a good day. It would be truly unfair for a new player to quickly gain the same progress as a veteran player, but we must understand that progress involves changes. We’re not asking for 100k gems, nor are we asking for all the mythic items in the game to be given to us, because that would be ridiculous. We’re simply asking that you consider the opinion of the free-to-play community regarding improvements to our gameplay in terms of rewards and such. That’s all, and I hope you’re in good health.
Oh ma gawwwwwdd it’s happening thnk u dev vkc
Hello @Killerdog , I thought a lot about my post and I must say that I was too greedy and only thought about the present and not the future. That’s why I’m writing this message to apologize. But I would like to keep one thing, which is that when an error occurs, the compensations should increase a bit — not too much, not too little.
I would also like to share an idea, though I’m not sure how good it is. I’d like the game to have a redeem button where players can enter a code and receive certain items. In other words, the game could provide monthly codes that include epic, super epic, and legendary ingredients, as well as gems and rare gems.
With this message, I hope you can read it and tell me how good you think my idea is.
Greetings, and thank you for taking the time to read my message.
I think this does make sense. As you said, 2 gems is very little. If we’re getting up to ~900 gems each month (30 a day on average) then 2 is barely anything and some bugs can cause a lot of inconvenience/frustration for players.
I don’t know the exact reasons companies do that (I’ve never looked it up) but my assumption would be they’re for a promotional thing or to get players to check something regularly (e.g. it would be a way to get people to come here to the forum). I personally don’t like the idea because anyone who’s not aware of the redeem codes randomly misses out on free stuff. I don’t see much benefit for players, it’s just an annoying hassle to remember to do this. Why do you want this system added?
Honestly, I think this game needs a lot more to help new players catch up. I don’t know what the best way to do that is but I have made some suggestions in the past. Years ago, I would always say it took 12 months to reach a point you could complete all PvE events and attempt getting top 50 in PvP. Now I don’t think top 50 in PvP is possible until you’ve played maybe 2-3 years. It’s because the game now revolves around mythics and it takes a long time to get enough gems to awaken a collection of them.
That said, there always needs to be a balance with how quickly you give players new monsters. If we get monsters too quickly, then you don’t have time to actually learn and enjoy playing with them. You also cannot get all the ingredients to evolve them. I see this problem with many new spenders who get too many monsters.
Finding a solution to all that and in a way that makes business sense is tricky. Also, maybe lots of new players are happy to build their collection at the current speed and they’re not trying to become competitive quickly… it’s hard to know!
It would be nice to get an higher chance of those 1 finn battles on the last day of whale’s treasure to round things off. It so happens to miss those random 1/2 finns to get an additional elixir or gems that instead has to go to training (I’m glad training is there but it does feel bittersweet to finish an already generous event in this way).
