Update Discussion

I know that. That’s why I did the test to see the element damage. All those monsters are holy in that test. It’s pretty devastating. Lion, Null, Aegis are popular Frontline monsters. I’ll do more tests against regular monsters though

Yea it does low damage.

Actually im glad to hatch nova now… lets See what nova, nox, bb, rexo, atra, nightlord and my Se’s can do in a Team in future… once everything is evolved.:wink:

Don’t underestimate the power of a shadow fl team, or do you wish to see an end shadow team? :smirk:

Since there are assisted aoe, why shouldn’t aoe spamming be a strat

Saint finally can be usable in my team. Wait, where is my oni?

You can just use yetikong instead

Here’s a video showing what shadow assisted AoE spam looks like against AI. First three battles are against super buffed monsters so you can see the difference in damage between Novadrake and the other two (all three have almost identical attack stat). The last two battles are against normal PvP monsters so you can see exactly what the damage is like against a large variety of monsters. I was lucky enough to come across the BB AoE spam front line in the second fight!

Hopefully this shows everyone what they want to know  I still need to take a look at the damage myself in the super buffed fights to see how much weaker Novadrake is.

EDIT: Novadrake deals 10% less damage with the assisted AoE (when there are 4 shadow monsters).

Yeah I totally agree. Assisted AoE attacks have very high TU so they take some careful setup to do properly. Also, killing multiple enemies at once can be very dangerous because you can bring the opponent’s combo pieces onto the field at the same time. Novadrake is the only monster that does AoE spam with no downside… it’s pretty much Novadrake’s strategy in a nutshell.

Also azura, the wrost of the 4 guardians.

Yeah i totally agree motor monsters need more love.

Justice for motor.

Hahaha

Like I said it’s OP. Wow you demolished the BB FL. Honestly I freaken love Nova now it’s a Savage beast. Hell yes If I had it I would have a full assisted FL with Nox and Nova.

Damage Nova does in PvP is incredible considering it’s low TU. Let’s be honest. It’s gonna wreck a lot of teams. Bye bye, Lion, Null BB, link holy and more.

I’m not even kidding after watching you destroy kei I would prefer Nova more than Null now. S+ monster

As what I said, nova with nox at fl eliminates all bb fl with ease :joy:

I believed you, but some people here needed convincing.

The scary thing is you said that before they buffed the hell out of Nova!! It’s even more insane now. Lower TU is ridiculous but I don’t care anymore and just want everybody to abuse this FL now.

Having bitterbeast was a good idea in the FL. That will help a lot against dangerous surprises that come from killing heaps of monsters at the same time. All those shockers.

To be honest you can probably just run 3 dark monsters with Lion in the Frontline.

Rudolphonzo gets Taunt right before the release of “theendofgaryoak” :sob:

People have given Nova a lot of hate. I feel like it was designed to be super strong, but they held back a little bit because it had the potential to be overpowered. After testing it originally I found it was surprisingly good… gave it A in the tier list. Now it’s more like A+ / S I reckon, because it’s hard to put to hold ground AND kill before it gets a turn and with the secret skill you can make it take two more hits to kill. Previously it just died off too easily after you’d done a couple of attacks. Stun wave is probably my favourite thing about it… being able to choose when to shock the enemy team is brutally strong. I’d still trade my Novadrake for your Nulltron if you’re up for it? Someday I’ll get to put together my dream link holy team and it will be unstoppable! Missing Nulltron and skipping Pawpatrol was very sad for me.

As for Bitterbeast in the FL. Yes it’s absolutely essential to have a stun absorber with anything that’s going to sweep a huge number of enemies. You need some kind of control. I learned almost as soon as I got Penguinator that Peng’s best buddy is Bitterbeast! To make this team more PvP viable I’ve had to put Darkstag in 6th. My PvE variant has Auro 5th and Tenebris 6th but that’s way too passive. I don’t think any other dark stun absorbers would work well in the front line because if you put a protector there you make yourself weak to all these anti-protector FLs out there. Even Tortogeist isn’t a good option because you really want to use protect with it first and you’ll likely trigger a stun with your AoE spam at the start. Angelion is a bad idea because the three other monsters all have hold ground (i.e. won’t be dying and triggering retribution) plus you really need all four monsters to be shadow in order to make the AoE spam strong enough.

I haven’t tested but I imagine having 3 dark monsters will still cause a lot of damage. One shot with Nox and One with Nova should still wipe out a lot of dangerous monsters. Add instant overwatch for Nox he gonna cause a lot of damage

I would rather face bitterbeast in the Frontline and have the full assisted AOE damage rather than Lion and regular assisted damage. The reason I mentioned Lion is because it prevents Timestrike double setups. My Null and Galv have a speed advantage on Nova and Nox so I can set that up and bring Nox or Nova to HG before they attack if it’s bitterbeast. Then I’ll finish them with Drako if I’m desperate.

Lion forces a lot of people to use repulse if they want to stun. His presence is annoying even if he just sits there doing nothing. Don’t worry about retribution. He would have already screwed up the other team before needing that. Heck if he gets repulsed he can come back later and be in a better situation for regular usage.

Test Lion out and let me know how you go
