I love how they nerfed a broken top usage monster like Onyxia and buffed an unseen, unused monster like Nyx 
. Great balancing from the devs after so many requests from us over the years 
I also love how this decision takes in the feedback of everyone and is totally not motivated by a few whales

Nonsense again. This is just an attempt to put fast FL in check. Nyx was supposed to do that before but didn’t do a good enough job. I don’t think the best solution would have been to go for broke with Nyx but it’s ballsy from the devs, let’s see how this changes things.

It doesn’t make sense on the devs end because it’s highly unrealistic that nyx would reduce fast frontlines. This only works if people lower the speed of their frontlines specifically because they feel it’s necessary to counter nyx. The problem is that you’d need to drop them below 50% speed in order for it to work and frontlines that slow usually suck pretty bad.
Fermata hits a 50-70% speed frontline just as hard as it hits a frontline that averages over 80% speed. That doesn’t leave many appealing options given the current meta. Garden fairies or slow mythic frontlines? At that point, your frontline is weak enough overall that you shouldn’t bother worrying about your matchups against nyx teams.
That’s nothing the right nyx frontline can’t handle anyway. From my experience, the best way to counter nyx is to run a strong enough fast frontline that gains enough of an advantage at the start so you won’t lose all control later on because of the slowed sweepers.
In other words, the devs just buffed a high speed S tier mythic to the very top of S+ tier because they thought it could help the high speed frontline problem (it won’t). Thank goodness they took the time to nerf apollorexus and taloknight while they were at it.

This is the problem. A lot of us have been saying for a while it needs to scale. 50% for this region would be fine.

I can’t agree more with what Duck said…they are buffing an already great mythic to even better positions. And nerfing random low usage mons just to provide this look that they are not juwt buffing but also nerfing? Like wtf??? Since when has KBR on Onyxia been complained about. It’s already an SS on an awakened myth, making it hrd to get. On top of thst it’s random, so ugh. Now it’s not even instant or swift…

I am not a whale by any accounts. However I have around 10 or so awakened myths (with 4 being in the S tier) and I am telling you, there is NOTHING I can do when facing a Nyx fl. Literally nothing. My best bet against Nyx is…Charybdia 
Nyx is KB proof, not weak to any killer moves and is tanky enough to survive stuff like piercing blow from ur avg legendary. Like what? What do you even expect us to do.

@Dev_VKC could you explain some of the reasons why nyx got buffed?
Ignore coltraz’s top 31 finish and look at janne for a bit. He’s currently the strongest nyx user and most likely would’ve had top 1 in three of the four most recent seasons if I wasn’t playing. What exactly about his performance indicates that nyx needs a massive buff?
I mean, this buff easily surpasses what persephia got this time around and it seems the general consensus is even that was going a bit too far with the sleep immunity.

If you think his ss was annoying you should’ve just put 50 tu restriction on ss or make it Swift kb like dragulus.

Nyx getting a buff is beyond me. Imo Nyx should counter only those with speed >70%. I just don’t see how 50-60% speed is considered fast

That’s won’t work now since they gave her unbreakable shield and 200% defence boost , meanwhile coltraz complained about that combo few days ago …
