Today I wanted to talk about a skill that I find a little too abused after its rework: the fermata se Nyx.
Basically I’m not asking for it to be modified or otherwise but what I want is that the special accelerations can again restore what Nyx broke for example the stealth acceleration of Fiona is a special acceleration movement at the same title that the fermata so I do not understandfor this movement can not counter nyx and it is the same for accelerations in SS as for Kanna where chromera . In some configurations once Nyx uses his movement we are sometimes forced to play with just one turn leaving and the opponent the Nyx charge time and to reduce the number of our team well because it becomes 1vs 4; which makes it too tough for some teams.
It was a bit of a problem for me here to make fermata not so powerful that it is able to disable powerful acceleration moves.
and also why does this movement take effect when I have already accelerated my team?
Nyx was introduced to push out very fast frontlines from the meta (4x 80+ speed to immiediately take early control in a match)
the first version of fermata did not make you use slower monsters in teambuilding - you could still run very fast frontlines ([Joco Azida Shielddragon Nyx], [Iris Maeve Nyx Sakura])
the current version heavily punishes players who still choose to run very fast monsters in the frontline
you can’t run high speed frontlines with Nyx anymore (as it was intended from the start)
her old SS was removed because accelerate no longer remove fermata effect from your own monsters (we can discuss if the new one is too stong)
also I faced a total of 4 players who own awakened version and run her in the front, so it’s nowhere to be common or in the meta (people did not hatch for her in the first place since fermata was so easy to override)
Yeah, but you still usually want to sweep the “stunned” monsters before their next turn. For me fermata works as a time buying tool to charge crescendo. They also changed Deus to perfectly unionize with Nyx, now you need to pass the time before you can sweep with vanquish, same as her crescendo timestrike.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it should be a permanent effect, for 1 maybe two moves. Can’t be overridden like yukis frozen heart with acceleration, and still gives you a massive edge, but doesn’t allow you to let the fermataed enemies to sit all game.
That’s just what I think the new one is way too strong, and I’m saying that based solely on our fights and all of your videos. because it was while watching the last one that I realized that Fiona could not cancel the effect of fermata yet she also uses a special move and that is my problem with this terrible that even special moves (stealth accelerate , sharpening neko , adrenaline, vigor) docan’t cancel this effect it makes it really too broken, it’s also the same for monsters that use acceleration in SS (because SS are superior to their normal versions) should also provide the counter, nyx will not affect because it will always be permanent except in somesituation
Exactly, it’s exactly identical to the difference that every time a monster attacks it will have this stunning effect which gives too high control, I remember a catch that it has to send SUIKENSHI to more than 400TU after using its SS
you did not understand me I it was just an example of skills that must cancel this effect, even if I do not give reason that it is weird because as you said the only monster that has it is below of 50% lmfao
When she was released I startee to see a bunch of Shielddragon fl to pop up becauee you could very easily cancel fermata immiediately, accelerate the rest of your mons and ignore Nyx whatsoever. Believe me when I say that I am completely fine with revert, but it will only mean that 85 speed frontlines are back in business - especially with recent Prixis and Azida banners. Also I would not take my vids as a broad example as I post only high tier battles and only those that really showcase strong moments, not total flops.
