I realised after you said ā3 in a rowā that what youāre talking about is not actually consecutive pity being hit. I can only assume what youāre saying is when hatching for 4 shards of a mythic you are hitting pity on one of those 4.
The chance of hitting pity once when awakening a mythic is roughly 38%, so seeing it happen for multiple mythics in a row is not outrageously unlikely. As Purpleheart has said in the past⦠she expects to hit pity once on each awakening.
@Wendigo I do sympathise with your bad luck, but at this point I canāt be sure of what exactly youāre reporting. Hitting pity also doesnāt give the full story, because you could be getting the other shards without many gems. Iām not going to give you any more sympathy or replies unless you share how many gems it took you to awaken these mythics, because ultimately thatās the number that matters.
As someone who awakened about 55 myths last year and around 40 this year, hitting pity is completely normal when you pull on almost every banner, especially if you need all 4 shards. What he should really be asking himself is whether he would prefer having no pity at all and risking 50 packs with zero featured myth copies. Pity counters are a good thing and already proven to help. What he is implying is that his rates are wrong, when in reality his experience is nothing unusual for big whales pushing toward a maxed account.
Iām just posting this unusual pity one banner after the next. Even if itās a different banner a back to back pity from banner to banner is unusual. I didnāt roll for some because I have 20 or so mythic ticket la that were used to get the other shards. So, although not in the same banner, it is unusually rare to hit pity on four different banners
But itās actually not
A 34% chance is not uncommon, you should always hatch with pity in mind
Well back to back banners that is, four different ones. I used the mythic tickets that should also made it so I didnāt have to roll on the same banner again. Then the following banner hit a pity again no standard pool mythics on two of them.
The average to wake up a mythic in total is about 1600-2000 gems. Even the other shards that could be earned takes roughly 400-880 gems each for the other three it seems. The last few mythic for only three shards was over 2300 gems which is definitely unusual.
@PurpleHeart how many gems after your pity does it usually take to get the next shard?
That changes everytime sometimes 3 packs sometimes 29 packs
My hatching moto is simple tho 10-15 packs if I get something cool continue if I get nothing I stop hatching
That also applies to a hatch were I get something in 10 packs, pity next shard unless I really want the mythic Iād either stop or drop another 10 packs caus GAMBLIMG
While weāre at the topic can I ask you what are the odds of hitting pity in anniversary banner
Ah so generally 10-15 more packs to get the next shard after a pity resets?
No not really thatās just my whales mentality, something I picked up from coltraz acctualy
What I do is that I only do 10-15 packs on a banner I want to hatch on, like carmilliette who I awakend a few days ago
I got 1 shard in pack 3 and then I locked in more and did another 15 packs got a shard within those and then did it again and ended up awakening her
The only time I acctualy go to pity for a mythic is if itās a spesific mythic I have waited for and want badly,
If itās somewhat whatever I just do 10-15 packs and if no mythic egg shows up Iāll leave the banner and wait until the next time it shows up
But keep in mind that I buy alot of gems so throwing 400-600 gems willy nilly is alot more whatever for me than it is for the avrage player
Ah, got ya. Lately I just been opening a ton of packs to get specific mythics but back to back banners I have received pity which is ridiculous. I understand the percentages of the pity but continuously getting it is a bit concerning. Especially four banners back to back. I didnāt even roll for some because I had several mythic tickets used for remaining shards. So in essence it is back to back pity but from different banners. This has gotta be the odd
