Hey, free player here myself. Getting gems is simple… do every bit of online content that comes out. For the first 6-12 months you won’t be able to finish events but if you can make the most of your monsters and pick up some good legendaries along the way you will get there in the end.
Once you can complete every event you earn 150-200 gems a month, depending on the events in that month and whether you go all the way in PvP rewards. I think I have averaged 200 gems every month this last year. Sounds extreme but seriously it all adds up from the various events. Biweekly alone gives 10 gems a month, equivalent of 12 gems when you have the achievements to do (the first two years).
Being a free player in this game is definitely viable. However, you need to invest lots of time and frequent logins for your tickets (both the normal tickets and special tickets in some events). Also, you need to accept that you will be behind for a long time (12-18 months) as it takes you longer to build a collection and you won’t be able to complete events for a while.

thank you very much for your response. i probably think i can pretty much think of any possible strategy to beat a pve event as far as possible with my current mons. but i have no experience in pvp. I’ll check the threads about pvp strats, hopefully they’ll suffice me. you wont believe but i was literally hyped to read your comment as i read ‘typing’ after your icon. i have read all of your guides and they have helped me tremendously in the initial week. thank you for this and that too. also btw last question, considering you got about 40 gems from an event, did you get the remaining 160 from pvp?
F2P here: Dude just do online event at their fullest and save gems for things that matter (festivals) do every online events even biweekly,do pvp to get all the rewards and every single event I got like 300 gems from last festival that was like on halloween (about 2 months of saving) and I didn’t even got all rewards for Pvp because I had exams and stuff at school.You can earn lots of gems from doing every event to the max look at me I did 300 in 2 months and also I missed half of time attack because laziness and probably others.You can really earn many gems but it takes time .

Like I said, it’s lots of gems from different places stacking up. I have broken it all down in other threads before so I won’t do it here but each month there are multiple limited-time events, two biweekly missions, four SCB, a PvP season, a cycle of the daily login, etc. plus some achievements done. When you look at an extended period like 6 or 12 months the average hits 150-200.

I’m F2P and within the past month I farmed myself roughly 136 gems so far. I have all the online events completed with the exception of 1 battle in Hell mode. I play in each event that comes along and score as high as I can and play each event to the max that I currently can. Each Super Challenge Battle I typically complete the day of, and the Biweeklys I finish rather quickly. Dont forget to check the “achievements” section regularly, you get extra gems for doing normal online things, completing events a certain number of times, regular story, online story, etc.
Realistically the best I can tell you is play each event as it comes out and try to stay on top of everything. It’s not hard at all to earn gems in this game for free. Like I said, I did 130+ this past month alone and am shooting to hit 40 before new years ends.

How is that 150-200 in 6 months???I managed to get like 300 gems from 2 months of grinding and I missed some pvp gems(yes stacking little by little helped) and got low rank in pvp(so not much rewards) , here is a proof and I spent 2 packs on the christmas festival( 1legend being gyo was hatched the others were epic dupes):

PVP is a great way to earn a ton of gems too, I think it’s 4-5 gems just for winning 3 battles. The rewards reset every few weeks and ranking top 500-600 isn’t that hard for a new player if you keep at it. There’s a thread for team building help if you need some tips for building a good PVP team.

Here’s all my egg hatches I’ve tracked. The ones crossed out are not from the last year. All those shown are the packs I’ve bought in 2019. Quickly adding that up I counted 79 packs, which is 3160 gems. Call that 3000 roughly then divided by 12 is 250 gems per month. So in reality that’s what I’ve averaged this year, but I think 150-200 is an easily realistic estimate to go by. While 250 is the actual figure, people are less likely to believe me when I say that!
To clarify, I have 100% completed every event this year except two Dungeon Challenges where I didn’t bother past floor 90, have got up to the beginning of chapter 7 in hell mode and in the majority of PvP seasons stopped at 60 wins, 40k RP and top 50 on the leaderboard. Each UC I was top 10 and each IC I went to lvl 450+.
EDIT: There was one more egg hatch I needed to cross out. The original Angelion egg in the middle with 6 packs bought there. That brings the figure down to 2920, which is still roughly 3000 gems.

O ok I tought you meant you managed to get 150 gems in 6 months and wondered how you did that because thats about 25 gemm/months and is very low

So as I said I spent about 132 gems on the Christmas egg so far last week. 3 packs and 3 single hatches. I posted in here how easy it is to get gems as a F2P player, so I’m posting this now to show proof of such a thing. In the past week, I have logged in every day for the Christmas login bonus, completed the Biweekly Missions for Gems, the Super Challenge Battle for Gems, 3 battles of Hell mode in the online story, missions in SOTF for Gems, PvP finished in top 300 due to connection issues, but still for Gems, and just completed Saga of the Holiday Homewrecker that they released yesterday for Gems, leveling me up to Hero rank 120, which netted me another 10 gems from the Acheivments section.
Tomorrows Christmas login or Super Challenge Battle will get me the 40th free gem I have farmed this past week for another pack of either Christmas or New Years egg. I play Neo Monsters for 30 min to an hour per day. It’s simple as that and can be done. The picture below is proof that these gems were earned free, not paid for. Be diligent and getting gems is easy.
Also with the rest of the Christmas login bonus, PvP bonus gems and awards they’ve been talking about and whatever other event replaces SOTF, I expect to be able to farm at LEAST another packs worth of gems, possibly 2 more depending on the events before the New Years egg leaves on the 6th.
You should manage two with the special bonuses on PvP this season I reckon

I’m hoping so. Really trying to get my hands on Bloom and Gyo for my Link Water to be decent, and Bloom will just make any team I run better tbh.
