Hi, I have been playing the game for 16 days now and I would like to know how far can a f2p player get in neo monsters, I got the game while it was on sale so I got it for free, and right now I am on episode IX. Also another question does anyone know how many gems can be claimed through the story and online event’s .

The majority of us on this forum are F2P. I am by no means the best player but have a strong collection of monsters, have completed all Story PVE content, and can complete the majority of PVE events. I’ve even become a lot better at PVP as well. It takes a long time though. And you need to be smart about what eggs you pull on. I have been playing with my current account for a year and a half and only have what I have because I spent half of last year saving for the anniversary and other big festivals and only spending gems on those. If you put in the time you will eventually amass a very good collection

A free player can get in the top 10 PvP bracket multiple times with the right teambuilding and PvP strategy.

He also primarily spent gems on festival eggs which have much better odds.

I’m a F2P for less than a year. I have 4 mythics, more than 20 legends (I didn’t count it), I’ve finished the offline story. I think I’m doing good.

@Alejandro_Pellicer yes that is the way to go. Gotta have self control though. I didn’t roll for an egg in over 6 months. Only spend when it is profitable

Yes there are higher chance festivals randomly in between which may have good monsters. From my experience though, some of the best monsters get released during the spring/Easter festival and the anniversary.

I typically only hatch during festivals. Other than the initial dollar for the game and one pack for 28 that I bought bc it was double gems sale, I do F2P otherwise. Granted I also have some ridiculously good luck when it comes to egg hatches, but I’ve been playing this account since September last year, so just about 9 months. I’ve completed everything PvE and can place high in most events, more than high enough. to get the rewards I want, and will be shooting for top 100. This PvP, top 50 or higher next PvP.

As far as the total amount of gems for story and such, I think one of @Killerdog 's guides shows the total you can get, but by F2P once you can do all the monthly/weekly events, you can net anywhere from 100-150 gems per month.

You can spend freely your gems, no need to wait for festival.
With a good egg pool, you can simply try your luck then.
The egg hatch were improved compared to 3 years ago which is completely crap unless you wait for open 5 pack.
