15 or 8 times is not enough please keep him the way he is, infinite loop we need more of these monsters so the game never ends
Yes 15 is not going to happen much at all, especially because the Thalazaar player will probably win before they have to use all 15.
As a maths guy I basically view this as still completely unrealistic to ever target in a game. If it splits that first time, Iâm probably going to lose. Itâs not worth the risk because itâs literally 66% chance of happening.
Since you mentioned maths, hereâs some to prove my point, assuming 66% split rather than 2/3 split.
| No. Thalazars | First split | Second split | Third split | No. combinations | Total chance |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 15 | yes | yes yes | yes yes yes yes | 5.46% | |
| 13 | yes | yes yes | yes yes yes no | 4 | 11.24% |
| 11 | yes | yes yes | yes yes no no | 6 | 8.68% |
| 9 | yes | yes yes | yes no no no | 4 | 2.98% |
| 7 | yes | yes yes | no no no no | 0.392% | |
| 9 | yes | yes no | yes yes | 2 | 12.9% |
| 7 | yes | yes no | yes no | 4 | 13.29% |
| 5 | yes | yes no | no no | 2 | 3.42% |
| 3 | yes | no no | 7.63% | ||
| 1 | no | 34% |
Thatâs a lot of numbers to actually wrap your head around but something I spot in it is how the high chance outcomes are all in the 7-13 range, which is basically due to it being >50% chance to split. Also, the initial 34% chance of no splits likely brings down the average.
Expected number of Thalazaars = 6.36
Expected number if first split happens = 9.12
That 6.36 average is huge and due to 7-13 being the likely outcome vs 1. However, the big point I want to make here is that as a player youâre basically not really facing the 6.36 when youâre in the battle. Instead, youâre weighing up whether itâs worth trying to kill Thalazaar, knowing that if the initial split happens then youâll need to face an average of 8 more of them!
I think thatâs a horrible play experience where basically RNG decides if youâre going to face 1 Thalazaar or 9 Thalazaar. I would much prefer a 100% chance to split once and that be all it does.
Thereâs an additional angle to this all which I only realised and put in my latest post⌠how you can revive each Thalazaar. Not just Aurodragon and Nephthys, there are plenty of other revive monsters/moves and Thalazaar will probably prove to be one of the best things for that. Astrajlyth is, in my opinion, the best mythic in the game for PvP due to the ridiculous buff choices made and even with that you were aware of revival synergy and put safeguards in place. Thalazaar absolutely needs its revive passive to also mean it cannot be revived by anything else.
I wonder which math guy let the current Thalazars moveset pass through development into release
Question, can g.f clover passive counter this clone revenge passives? @Dev_VKC
I think Gloria is the one with the clone ban passive, and I donât know, thatâs a intresting question I have never thought about
She only blocks active skills, not passives. But she has revenge sealer that will work against this mythic.
They need to hire @Killerdog back
speaking from my personal experience i think neo was a 5 year project, i dont think the parent company expected that neo would last 10 years, at this point am honestly expecting them to drop a neo monsters 2 with enhanced graphics and a new battle system
i dont think they will improve this game any further and we have seen this trend for the past years, where there were no improvements to the main core of the game just 2 mythics every month and balance changes, almost minimum amount of devs work in this game, there hours must be going somewhere or they would have been fired just like the poor story guy
Times are so crazy, that this doesnât sound crazy at all old friend
So true ![]()
This is long overdue. A clean slate would make me very excited! However I think itâs wishful thinking, probably the realistic alternative is that there will be nothing to replace Neo.
Theyâre too busy with this awful game. But hey, itâs you whales who created this situation where with every new update you settle for the little they do because the only thing you care about is spending m0ney to get the latest creatures broken.
If everyone followed this logic then we would only have the awful Tokyo Debunker and Evertale as alternatives.
Well, thatâs the truth.
Well, Evertale doesnât get updates anymore except for bug fixes. Tokyo Debunker too, I think. But they still add stories alongside new characters though.
Weâre trying to add new content, but limited resources and a small team really hinder what we can do. Still, weâre willing and planning to push forward.
I donât think Neomon 2 is going to happen, since the company prefers PVE games for new games. Those make more profit and donât require much balance work. Just keep power creeping as long as each new character performs better than the old ones in AI battles ![]()
Our dev team loves the game and PvP, and our passion to make it great again never changes. #MNGA
I wonder who enjoys ai vs ai battles why play the game in the first place
This downsizing has been a thing in neo for many years now, it just seems the owners just want to mill every last drop
âTo make it great again"
So u accepting the game itâs not on his peak anymore? How so if u keep updating a dropping new stuff? Donât u think u guys are doing something wrong?
Stories, waifus and husbandos.
This is just a MAGA meme
Neomon has been doing great since we overhauled PvP and added quality of life improvements about 2.5 years ago. Last year was very strong, and the first half of this year is already performing better than the same period last year. I think weâre on the right track.
Iâd really like to give our success to the features weâve added, but it also seems that the âpower creepâ and the rock-paper-scissors environment we intentionally designed have contributed as well (with the real shift starting from the release of Selene and E.D. Keiser).
Can you give Selene stun counter/stun immunity (preferably counter) and remove unmovable
I also play Evertale, and thatâs a typical social game. They keep adding overpowered new characters, and the older characters are only usable for about a year at best. Furthermore, awakening characters and upgrading them is extremely expensive.
On the other hand, I think Neo Monsters is a great game because even monsters from several years ago can still be useful. I will continue to support you @Dev_VKC .
