Still no updates???

Wow, can anybody kindly explain to me what does “very soon” mean? In my mind I always thought it would mean within one or two weeks, but yeah, the devs clearly proved me wrong… “Very soon” means more than eight months waiting with no sure hope!
Just come back to visit again but I see the forum is dead, this saddens me, it was once a lovely community…

i really should just put this in my sig, considering nobody checks the pins before posting

Yeah, micromon has already had an update, and a second one coming soon. Still not even an update but once a month a “sorry we will do it soon, progress has been bad, we re wrote the code, and are making another game”

Too little too late

I passed on any new games after the way this one went. It’s sad that I pop back into the forums after 3+ months of being away and there’s still no updates. It’s getting on towards being a year since we were first promised an update would be out soon. I doubt there’s ever going to be one, and even if there is it’s too late now. I feel for the developers, I really do, without a doubt they bit off more work than they could chew, but there’s really no excuse for the lack of communication and constant mis-information. Almost three weeks ago we were again told that a few days were needed before it would be submitted to the App Store for approval – but we’ve heard nothing since.

I will say this incase any of the devs see this:

I get that you want to prioritise your next game, but your priority should be your current game first. You’ve lost a lot of the community because of the way this game has been ‘discarded’ so quickly. I won’t be buying any future games, but if you take anything from this whole mess then prioritise your current game updates before you decide to start on a new game. Otherwise you run the risk of alienating yet more of your fans, and doing that is just asking to fail as a company. Good luck!

I agree with Sabercrest, although, I don’t think it’s too late.

You’re speaking as if the entire playerbase will continue to deplete until there is no one left, but that’s untrue. HI will remain in the appstore, and people will continue to buy it. If the devs get an update out, they’ll still have a damaged reputation, but it’s way, way better than just giving up and never getting it out.

Definitely have to highlight this part, though:

You’ve lost a lot of the community because of the way this game has been ‘discarded’ so quickly.

I failed to mention that before, but it’s true. Very true. I was disappointed as well (even if the new game looks pretty cool) - I wanted more HI updates. It had a lot of potential. And the storyline was so good. I honestly didn’t think a game would be started just a few months later. It was quick and sudden and unexpected.

But, well, what’s done is done. The developers know. I’m sure they do. They come on this forum and they probably saw the countless number of feedback they receive. It’s impossible to not know anymore, since it’s the only thing people talk about, anyway. If I don’t trust them to get an update out, then I’ll trust them to take responsibility.

Been a few months since i came on here. Just popped on to see if they had finally release an update. Not surprised, but im sure most people have gave up aswell. But please remember if the update does ever arrive, it only contaims patches and isnt the update with maybe some new content. So that will be another kick in the teeth to those who actually managed the wait from December.

People, please stop with these threads… if you have read the other “no update” threads and you see all the posts on them, whats the point of making your own one? Look, they are a very small group, and are working on Monster Island. 800+ monsters , wow! seriously if you had a choice between having new games or updates, i would choose new games also @Sabercrest just because HI doesn’t get updates, you aren’t gonna buy their games anymore? thats pretty stupid

If you bought a pair of curtains from eBay and they arrived a different colour, or with slight rips in them, and the seller failed to replace/refund (or in other words fix the problem) then I think it would be more “stupid” to then go and buy another pair from said seller.

The fact remains we were promised an update to fix certain problems with the game (like the bonus actions). These things aren’t a big update and could have been rolled out in a 2-3 weeks max. We’re talking several lines of code and then balance testing here.

But instead the developers decided to re-write the whole game engine BEFORE doing this, and then also start working on a new game before this game was sorted out. And now it’s 8 months later with still no update. This is without even mentioning the communication problems there have been with the developers, which they have themselves acknowledged - but even that still continues to be a problem.

I’m not here to hate on the developers, I’d love to see them sort things out as they had a good thing going here, but when there’s no communication there’s not much else that can be done but just chalk it off and look to other developers if I want a new game to play.

Couldnt have made a more valid point. I wont be buying any of there future games.

I would have had no complaints if from the start, the developers stated that no update was planned.  With no updates, the game was well worth the 99 cents I paid for it.  My big complaint is that we continued to get indications that an update was coming (from both the admins and the developers).  My continued interest in the game was PvP.  As such, I continued to spend money for Gold mission eggs to get the new arks to remain competive.  I wouldn’t have, if I had known that the most serious problems (such as bonus actions and the stego/charc stun) would not be fixed.

The developers are a small group and thier goal is to make money.  Apparently, they decided that they can make more money on new games instead of working on updates for HI.

They are still working on it. It’s been said

Read the link I’ve posted

Goodbye guys, I’m pretty sure this time I won’t be back again.
Its not about the update disappointment things, really.
And to the people complaining, I think you are right, but no need to be so serious on this, it’s only a game.
To the mods, you guys are still awesome haha, I was and I’m still very impressed by your dedications, although, I really don’t understand what hold you guys from giving up on this forum;)
And final words to the devs, well, I don’t think I’ll buy your games again. It’s really not a threat or complaint. You guys are awesome in making this game, but I’m tired of keeping up with your steps…
Anyway, goodbye, to the community I once loved so much:)

Sorry to see you leave jasnology. But, thanks for all the good times! (:

I wish you the best, and farewell.

I believe the mods are devs in disguise because i also do not understand how can someone still stick around for the devs after 8 months of empty promises and pretend that this is normal and we should not complain.

No offense to the mods but enough is enough, are you guys at least getting paid for this?

I still play the game ocasionally but you either face an abuser or a newbie, so it’s hard to find good battles.

Most of the old players are gone and the community is dead. Sad to see a game with endless possibilities dying in the name of greed.

I always heard that there are only 4 or 5 devs and that’s why it is so difficut to manage everything.
Well, it seems they all want to keep their big slice of the pie, rather than paying more people to speed up the work.

I am on the same boat as the players who won’t buy more games from these guys.

As much as I agreed with a lot of the negative comments, the mods are not the devs. They were promised the same thing & the only info they know about the update is what’s published here.

Alright there shall be a screenshot when they send the update in for approval to prove The updates been sent in

@Ewerton: and that’s why conspiracy theories happen and get out of control. We’ve stayed because we care not only about the community, but also the games themselves.

The Devs have made some pretty serious mistakes. There’s no denying that.

So let’s make a couple of things really clear:

  1. Mods are not Devs

  2. We volunteer our time

  3. We’ve stayed because you know what? This is a pretty solid community and I think leaving just because there isn’t an update yet is a pretty selfish reason to leave. Staying to at least support the community itself, that’s what is needed right now.

We will miss you jasnology, see you around, it was fun. I hope you come back.
