Special Event : The Chill Queen , Starts 1/10/14 5PM EST 10 PM GMT

thanks for the encouragement, it felt like 20 eggs, but it was probably less than that, i didn’t count all of them. Let’s see 30 minutes to get from level 1-28 the first time through, and then about 10 minutes from 17-28 for the following 3 hours. So probably closer to 15-18 eggs more realistically.

I don’t think I will be playing this anymore for a while. Its really really really really really boring to go through the same levels over and over again to get ONE try at a golden egg. The running through 17-28 each time is just absolutely mind numbingly horrible. Farming for the rare dragons was more tolerable. Getting Omegawyrm was easier than this.

With complete respect to the developers, I know they have a tough job, and everything is experimental right now,

I don’t think you will be getting many people willing to go through this, its complete opposite of fun, its horrible.

Though I think that the developers initially had good intentions with this, This is definitely NOT the direction to take OM.

however this won’t be an issue for timers, they will most likely get it on the first try.

aside from this, I think for the most part, the other aspects of the game is really fun :) The whole new ark every week is great!!! that’s definitely a good thing.

Maybe I am a bit confused. I went through all 28 levels and got the three chillmaidens. On the golden egg, I missed the chillmaidens by 1 space. I thought if I bought a mission egg I could replay the event. I found out I just got another chance at getting a chillmaiden on a spin again. I missed the chillmaiden again. The announcement for this event said, “Play as many times as you would like.” So I went back in at level 1 and blew through the first 12 levels without any chillmaidens rewards. So did all of you that said you got this ark hit a chillmaiden on the last golden egg? If not, how did you get the 4th chillmaiden to complete the recipe??

Actually, you got group A and Group B backwards.

And you also have to remember that at the end of the season, they’re supposed to release the arks into the wild, giving everyone a chance to get them

You get the 4th from the egg. You don’t have to buy mission eggs for this one. You have to do the mission again, make sure you start at level 17 though, no point in doing the other 16 floors since you won’t get anything from them. Then work you way back down to 28 for another egg. Keep doing that until you get the 4th one you need, or you give up trying. From what I’ve seen though it’s not worth the hours you’ll probably spend trying to get the last chillmaiden though.

Thanks for the info. Back into the dungeon I go.

Now then…I’ve seen people complain, and the only legitimate complaints involve the time it takes to do something boring, and the fact that timers will be those using this.

…you may think that online missions are boring. Sure…but…isn’t it kind of similar to the entire game? You go in a dungeon, find monsters, and beat them. Repeat. It’s not that boring. Especially if you know that it’ll be worth it in the end.

…now, I do agree that chillmaiden plays a bigger role with egg timers, because they have exclusive monsters, such as…say…I don’t know, Stegospike and Shadowstalker? That is true, and a VERY valid point indeed. Therefore, please know that I’ll also be making a team that uses Chillqueen as well as in-game arkadion. Believe it or not, the ark may have its uses without other exclusive monsters…that’s almost always the case. So please don’t worry! I’ll get that team up right after I finish my chillqueen team that does involve exclusives…so go get the reward, and I promise that it will help you in the future

And don’t give me the “well, decent monsters + strategy will never beat good monsters + strategy” junk. It’s very possible. Farmers with one or two OM arkadion can definitely beat higher-caliber monster teams that timers have. Think about it…first of all, I’ve done it myself…that’s proof enough…and also, I have beaten beta teams in the past as well. So if my team of mostly 9.5 stars can beat a team of mostly 10-12 stars, I’m pretty sure that a team of mostly 9 stars can beat a team of 9.5 stars. So please do not say that it’s impossible, and that this game is only good for timers.

Yeaaaa I’m not really feeling investing hours of dungeon digging for this one, esp since I missed Shadowstalker

Also…Were the stairs down in more random places than usual for you guys too? The opponents seemed a bit tougher too

Agree 100% wasted enough time and tickets on this. If you can’t time eggs don’t bother.

numbers will speak for themselves, when this OM is over, the developers can see how many people actually have this ark. I have a feeling it will be less than 1 percent. Actually I think it will only be timers who will have this ark. To get this ark without timing eggs is not realistically attainable.

They’re working on fixing the egg timing but again, it takes time to fix things

I think less people will have it because they are not willing to spend the time to get it. If I’m correct, you only need to win ONE chillmaiden from an egg, right? Not…that…hard. 3 hours? That’s not a whole lot over 5 days. Farming takes MUCH longer for most people. Seriously.

As far as tickets go…really? Tickets are useless. They are also free and unlimited (in a sense).

Also, there’s the fact that people who have it won’t be able to use it like timers…again, not true. I will be making a team and posting it in my warehouse that involves only Chillqueen and in-game arkadion. It’s very possible to come up with strategies that involve Chillqueen WITHOUT using egg-only monsters.

Therefore…pretty much all complaints are invalid. It is just like farming, tickets are of no concern, and there is a use for it once you win it.

the developers have a goal of maintaining as many players as possible while adding new players regularly. They really need to find a balance to cater to both serious gamers and the casual gamer.

I would consider myself someone that is active and invested in this game. I was able too fuse omegawyrm, and so far caught all of the OM arks since meowzard. This weeks OM is not something I would say is  constructive or beneficial to the games success, rather I believe, it will continue a path to a much larger negative affect and create an even greater gap between regular players and players with all egg 12 star ark super teams.

now someone that can time an egg and get this ark on the first try would probably support this weeks OM. Because their time invested is virtually zero, and would ensure with full certainty NO ONE else would have this ark. I don’t blame them, who wouldn’t want to be the only players with this ark?

I do agree difficulty is a good thing, but not this type of difficulty. Easy for timers, impossible for regular players.

They’re giving you practically unlimited eggs for a week. But now that’s an issue because you have to actually fight monsters to get them…

My goodness, you really can’t please everyone. Some people I think won’t be happy no matter what you do.

lol I ain’t trying to spend 3-6 hrs in the same randomly constructed white dungeon for a chillqueen

But it’s unlimited for a week…

It could be worse guys. You know…there could be zero chillqueens after 30 mins after the mission starts…just sayin :stuck_out_tongue:

Theyre working on fixing it? Doesnt seems like it

What do you mean it doesn’t seem like it? Did you look in their computers or something and watch the work they’re doing?

Considering how large the user base for this game is, there will always be both happy and unhappy people. It is true, creating a solution that is beneficial to all is a virtual impossibility. So one can only hope to learn from trial an error to provide the best possible solution.

When considering an OM like this, one should take into account the value of the player’s time, reasonable expectation of game time required within the alotted period (in this case one week) and the value of the reward given for the said time spent to attain the reward. Finding a proper balance of these can result in a steady consistent user base for the developers.

Now, say I’ve played 4 hours today and dungeon crawling and received nothing but low star arks. I’ve spent 4 hours along with zero reward. I’m running full level 99 arks on my team, so there is no benefit of leveling up, there is no storyline to follow, and its a randomly generated dungeon with high level arks that the player must battle through repeatedly. So the only reward would be the mission ark. Except there is a very high probability that it will not be attained at the end of level 28.

This can not be compared to other types of games that require dungeon crawling because those games would probably reward the time spent playing with leveling up. However in this scenario, there is no leveling up, chances are if the player is able to get this far its gonna be a level 99 team. This means the only reward is the final mission ark.

If I can play 4 hours and not get anything, that means if I play for 4 hours consistently for the next 7 days which would equate to 28 hours total, there is still the possibility that I will not get the mission ark, not only that, there is no leveling up or storyline advancement. I do not believe it is reasonable for a player to spend this much time dungeon crawling for the hope of the getting a single spin to land on the final fusion ark.

The fallacy in the argument having an OM run this way assumes that the majority of players will choose to invest this much time for the single mission ark. Realistically most players aren’t going to spend that much time dungeon crawling for a “maybe, but most likely not” reward. If there is some form of certainty that the player will receive a mission ark after a certain realistic time frame invested it may work. But as it is right now, I do not believe this is the direction OM should be heading.

However you are welcome to disagree, and just wait out the results at the end of the week and see if it works. I say this with the utmost respect to the developers and mods, I understand a lot of this is trial and error and it’s definitely not an easy task you guys have ahead of you. Really, thanks for listening to us gamers and just know when everythings done you will have an incredible game.

You do have people that care about the game, otherwise we wouldn’t be leaving feed back.

But gamer, isn’t this exactly the same as trying to catch hatchling/starters? Some people spent alot more than 4 hours trying to find only  one of them, without any rewards (unless you’re not using metallodious) whatsoever, which is no worse than going through dungeon over and over.
