Though it is true that one thing about Shadowstalker is it’s sort of reliant on luck. Though… with a future mission monster coming out, it won’t be as reliant on luck. (I sure do say that a lot.)
Personally, I tend to go for consistency as opposed to luck.
Yeah I like consistency way more than luck, I still have a hard time using siesta even though it’s helped me a lot before (also has completely wrecked me)
OK after battling it a few times, I need advice on how to counter it.
Being a Holy ark, it has no elemental weakness. It is a Mystic type and is countered by Mystic bane. As far as I know, Shisaguard is the only currently available Ark that has Mystic bane and is viable in PVP.
The trouble I had is not about Daydream or Dreamhunt, but Scapegoat. People usually put it at the beginning. It seems to have high speed, which usually acts before my quick Ark (speed 21). It will Scapegoat Arks with stun skin such as Raioh or Chopperbug. I can imagine even if I have got Shisaguard, it is too slow (speed 18) to one-shot Shadowstalker before it casts Scapegoat. And I don’t think it can one-shot it anyway.
Omegawyrm can be countered by Dracobane and elementless heavy hitters such as Omegawyrm, Arkwing and Nilomoth.
Destructor can be countered by Holy Arks and Metal Slash.
But Shadowstalker is very hard to take down, and currently can only be countered by Shisaguard, which is too slow to act before Shadowstalker casting Scapegoat.
Hey Ashley since you have this ark can you tell me if the Siesta+the dreamhunt ability of Shadowstalker will do dmg to ALL asleep arks ot just one? Also is it possible to put Shadowstalker to sleep?
It is possible to put Shadowstalker to sleep. And its Dreamhunt always only hits one target.
Hey First Snow, maybe use knockback on the scapegoated ark? I havent done PVP yet but seems like it might work.

It can’t miss with daydream. It always hits, but sometimes that hit applies to your own team.
And u have bad luck when u put one of ur own team to sleep when ur opponent has a shadowstalker as well

Just wait until your other 2 Arks are above 105 TUs. Then Daydream presents no risks.
Umm it can miss because it happened to me .
I think right now shadowstalker is just …ok… But pair him up with future arks that put enemy arks to sleep… And BOOM he becomes awesome.

Even without the Daydream abuse, Shadowstalker still has absurdly good defenses, and Scapegoat is a great tool for tanks that don’t have Guardian (ie Mossgolem). So even if you aren’t lucky with sleep, it’s still pretty darn fantastic.
Er… it looks more purple to me.
And anyway, don’t judge someone by their hair/fur/feather/whatever color. There’s no gender difference between Arkadions, anyway - not that I know of.
About shadowstalker’s combat abilities, I agree it has great defense. Very, very good defense. I haven’t exactly tried using it strategically, but I used it a few times casually, and it did its job well.
But guys, daydream is better than roulette in my opinion, and the last time I PvP’d (which was…um… quite a while ago) a lot of people were willing to risk roulette.
If you’re really set on using dreamhunt, you can always put a better sleep-caster on your team. Though I have no idea what it could be. It might be that arkadion Ashley was talking about, but this is coming from a casual gamer’s mouth (AKA one that doesn’t compete with PvP a lot).
can u explain me why it has to scapgoat arks wiht stun skin?
i dont understand what stun skin exatly does…
because if u scapegoat an ark with stun skin that ark is going to die or not? :o
and if it is dead ( raioh and chpperbug are kind of one hit by every singletarget attack ) how should it use stun skin then? O.o
or is there any kind of passive effect?
