Season 1 - Week 3 BLUE HORNS! Mission Ended.

I think people have the wrong idea here. People in pool B still compete against pool A anyway. So does it actually get harder as you go farther in the season for people in pool B? Those people still compete against literally everyone else, not just people in pool B.

people are really complaining loll … ? First of the ark is actually really stronge , secondly not every weekly mission will be 12+* monsters like seriously ? . I just dont care about pool A and pool B , justt be fast and you’ll be satisfied … And since you guys gonna skip out on mission to stay in same group , sadly that wont work because " skipping " is simply " not playing " and simplly " not getting the monster " , so you know what that means right ? " well your in pool B " lol … So i rather suggest you to no not complain and play:)

I would like to say that subzeratops is not exactly a “trash arkadion”. It may be 9.5 stars, but I’ve used it many times and it works really well in a combo…please do not judge an arkadion’s worth by its number of stars, and you do not necessarily need to use money to buy eggs if you do not want to. The eggs are not exactly overpriced, either considering that u get plenty of gold in game and some gold eggs too

Im actually pretty pumped about trying to get Sub

Ok so i get 1 rank upgrade, sounds better than 26 arks i already have, and 0 fusion creatures. And that developers, is * sad. Fix your game, make your egg spins revolve not just 30 random junk monsters in a row sometimes who ever says they can time it, is *. Dont cater to the 1% all the time, people have jobs you know, and its those people who get * the worst. My guess most of your money is made off rich kids so * us right. And yes if concentrate i can see every single monster going by, so after watching about 20 go by i figured a good one was coming lol yeah right.

First of all, yes. It is possible to time the eggs. Multiple users have successfully been able to do it. I, myself, have come quite close to figuring it out. With that being said, I’m actually against the egg system being able to be timed. I think it should give something completely random.

I understand your frustration when it comes to the idea that people who can pay more get the best stuff. But keep in mind there are ample ways to get golden eggs for free within the game, and also keep in mind that every monster people have through golden eggs you’ll also be able to get without using a single golden egg. Here’s one, right in this mission!

The bottom line is the developers need to make money. People who spend more money will be able to get some things faster than others, but you’ll be able to get everything as well.

Yeah I’m stuck in the 1% pool also and I really didn’t even like minoblast that much lol!!! Sacrificing for all his actual attack tho I did also get 4 minoflares lol. But let’s say that there are 10k people playing this game and 10% of that is 1k and 1 percent of that is 10 so that means I would have to be a part of those first 10 people to reach the top lol. Last time it took me 45 minutes and I’m sure there are more than 10 people who could clear the dungeon in 25 so I’m screwed lol.

No. If you’re in pool A then it’s 10% * 10,000 = 1,000.

If you’re in B, it’s 1% * 10,000 = 100.

Yup thats how it works. Its 1% of the whole pie :)

Ok that makes more sense. Hopefully I have a chance lol

this is a good ark and all but idk if im wanna race for it lol i guess i will…i do need a good water ark for PVP tho

Yes it gets harder as the amount of players (=amount of arcs given away) should stay nearly the same and the amount of players in pool B increases every week leading to more and more players in pool B who are all competing for the 1% (there will be way more ppl every week trying to start on time because of the 1% chance) so the competition gets harder every week in pool B and easier in pool A because in the last week in pool A there will be the smallest amount of people competing for the 10% chance + 1% chance of pool B because many players should already be in pool B.

So the smartest thing is just to wait and hope that many players do complete the mission so the 10% will stay at a high number and you can choose which weeks arc you want to have.

Agreed, and ashley; considdered how many gold eggs are received in game is exactly the reason they are overpriced. Like in the economy; when something is put out there in great multitudes it becomes worthless. It makes in app purchases laughable. I mean you gotta make a lot of money to even considder buying a gold egg for 3$. One dollar would even be overpriced considdered the chance of receiving junk is around 95% to make money off of anyone but rich kids, there should be worthwhile in app purchases. An extra multiplayer slot for 1.00$? A new, better egg for a limited time at 1$? Arkadions sold directly for 1.00$? This is how money is made…

@Outtacontrol:

If 10,000 people played mission 1, then 1,000 of those people will be put in pool B while 9,000 will remain in pool A.

For mission 2, let’s say 10,000 people play again. The 1,000 people in pool B compete with all 10,000 for 100 spots. 9,000 of those compete for 1,000 spots.

For mission 3, let’s say 10,000 people play again. We now have (considering we factor out new incoming players) 2,000 people in pool B and 8,000 in pool A. Those 2,000 people are competing against all 10,000 people for 100 spots.

Okay. So at this point, 2,000 people, instead of 1,000 people, are competing with 10,000 people for 100 spots.

Did it get any harder for the people who were originally in pool B (those first 1,000)?

At first they were competing with 10,000 for 100 spots. Now, they’re competing with 10,000 people for 100 spots. Nothing changed. Same difficulty.

@Triklops:

I wasn’t actually talking about the pricing of the eggs. That’s because I feel there’s never a need to actually buy any to begin with. Honestly, put money into guaranteed captures, not into gold eggs. At least until you figure out how to time them (while it works…).

If eggs do become completely random, then I do think a higher chance at getting quality rewards will be necessary.

Indeed I am in favor of randomizing eggs, to give everyone the same chances (our younger users who won’t be able to time). But your saying how you don’t see any need to buy golden eggs in the first place proves my point! Who’s going to spend money on in app purchases if they don’t benefit you in a crucial way? This app is ten times better than some other monster hunting apps I know and yet it won’t make half the income due to the fact that the person in charge of making in app purchases attractive was somewhat incompetent. Do you understand what I mean? How can we expect big updates in the future when, once the first time buyers subside, no profit is made by hunter islands at all anymore?

I think randomizing eggs and, at the same time, increasing the likelihood of getting a better monster (through random means) will fix this issue.

IAPs could be looked at differently, too. For example, charge people money for some visual customization of their monsters that would be shown in PvP. This way, money is not influencing the balance of the game in any way, it’s only going into visual customization.

Ideas like this could solve this problem without allowing people who pay to have too large of an advantage.

That’s right but you forget that all players in pool B have to do the mission as fast as possible when it’s online while the players in pool A have more time and less competition with every week because with your calculation in the last week there would be like 1,000 people in pool A and 9,000 in pool B which means that everyone in pool A would get the arc or there are even leftovers because of the 100 of pool A.

I also think that it makes a big difference competing with the players in pool A, where many player probably just don’t want this weeks arc and do the mission very slowly, and competing with the players in pool B who will try to play as fast as possible if they want an arc.

I think if anyone wants the Arkadion badly enough, that person is going to rush and try to get it whether in pool A or pool B. No one who wants it badly enough is going to think: I have 10% of the spots to compete with, so I’ll just sit back and relax because I have some time. At least that’s what I would think.

Because those people don’t know how fast the 10% spots will be taken. Maybe they’ll be taken only 10-20 minutes after the 1% spots get taken.

Just be better at timing the gold egg roulette. Get the fever egg and 5000 gold. Ive done this many time. It takes patience, but it will pay off.

@IAMHIM the gold eggs will not be so easy to time in the future…
