So I heard scorpionyx got dreaded wave in the previous update. Is it worth evolving it if I’m a little short on vorabooks (nothing else atm needs vorabooks but I don’t have much)

And yeah he is better now but his awakened form is so much better for pve. Mind you, you will need good shadow monsters to utilise him the best way possible like nova, nox, etc…

Second form still trash. Awakened is okay.
I think I read somewhere that fatal sting can kill pve bosses does it work like that?
Save your vorabook. I only used him in whale’s treasure with Oniblade. Otherwise he just gets 1 shot most of the time with toxic killer and chrono killer.
Yes that’s correct. Fatal sting is a big reason to have the monster. The enemy dies in 200s even if the user has gone from the field. Only thing that saves it is getting purified.
The second form still suffers from having bloodthirst but it’s reasonable enough and good compared to a lot of legendaries.

Edit: never mind husking requires a grailing not a vorabook so I’ll evolve it regardless

It’s really hard to judge second forms for certain, sorry but I can’t give a simple answer. In general I’d prioritise legendaries over second form mythics but if a particular one looks good compared to your legendary options then go for it.
In the tier list I’ve ranked the second forms as tier 1 (perfectly viable), tier 2 (somewhat viable) and tier 3 (useless). Anything tier 1 is safe to use, tier 2 look at the moveset and judge yourself. Tier 3 don’t bother evolving until the materials are in excess.
