I think it would be better to discourage dropping with positive rewards.

Agree on this… people drop in order to get the rewards… change the rewards and people will stop. No need to punish anyone.

I agree with heroes, this people should be punished for being such pussies, i think what heroes said should be done, but when you lose purpously (lets say 10 times) you will get banned for the rest of pvp

The issue i see with that is that it’s very difficult to distinguish between a quit and a lost connection. For that reason alone I’m against banning for losing matches

I think splitting teams into tiers and matching based on number of lehendaries etc would be a better solution.

yea, i was thinking the same, but if devs can notice a difference, then they should do the banning thing.
Not sure about the legend thing, like someone can have 16 legends, and have shockers, geo, motor TTs, chrome and the other meta strong legends, and there can also be a 16 legend guy with stuff like APs, sleepers, and none of the strong legends rn, so it would be kind of unfair

I haven’t read all the posts here so apologies if it was already said but I think it would be good to add ranking rewards alongside the rewards for X number of wins. The reason being, it should encourage people to push their battle points high rather than purposefully losing to get easier fights. E.g. A legendary potion in top 200 and lots of gems in the top 50 and top 100 should encourage these strong players to focus slightly less on spoiling PvP for the weaker players.

Also, you mention possibly changing the battle points system and in my personal opinion I think it should be done as points from 1-20. Winning a fight pushing you up by +1 point and losing a fight pushing down by -1 point. Beating someone 5 or more points below you could not give you a +1 and vice versa no -1 for the weaker player. Matchmaking would try to match ±5 points first of all, or maybe less.

The difference of this would mean there is an upper limit for the battle points (20) and each number of battle points 1 through to 20 will have a constant relation to the strength of the people relative to everyone else. So… you could add rewards for beating opponents ranked at, say: 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18. As well as rewards for reaching 5, 10 and 15 battle points yourself. This would be simple enough for players to understand as well as encouraging players to go play PvP properly. The focus of rewards could still be in the number of wins (which practically everyone can go for) with some nice extra rewards for these things.

I disagree with keeping the rewards solely ranking based, makes PvP a lot less fun for the lower ranks.
However
I think a change to the current point system is a good idea. Perhaps the worst part of PvP is climbing past 900 points, getting 5 points per match and losing 60 per loss. It makes it very triggering and stressful getting to high ranks, tbh it’s what put me off doing it.
Perhaps having a set amount of points per win/loss and bonus points awarded based on ranking might be better. Then at the end you trade in total points for rewards. It still encourages climbing but makes it a positive feedback rather than the overly negative one it currently is

they could do a similar thing to uc ranking rewards along side other win rewards so climbing is encouraged but it’s not forcing the climb

Yes. Ranking AND Victory rewards are the way to go! When are we gonna get a chance to get some PVP crowns again?
