New rule for each day. Let’s go!
No the thing is, restriction lists rlly don’t hit P2Ws that hard bcz they have all the mythics they want anyway, so even if a few are restricted, they can use others. For a random fellow with 5-6 awakens (probably meta ones bcz they can’t afford all) it becomes rlly difficult
That’s me ! I have 5 mythic all restricted 1 I can only use 1 actually it’s a dilemma if you target non meta mythics maybe you will use them more but are they as useful as the other ones !
my deviladus never gets restricted. ![]()
Comments like this just make me want to put my hands up in the air.
What do people want? A diverse, changing meta.
How do you do that? You restrict meta monsters.
Then people come moaning that their meta monsters are restricted and that the game is P2W because people with larger collections can still build competitive teams that help contribute to a diverse meta.
I don’t see why everything has to become a P2W hate topic. The restriction list affects people with large collections more than other people. It even affects P2W way more than it used to since the number of restricted mythics has risen massively.
If someone without many mythics is struggling with it then it’s likely from targeting meta monsters too much or too heavily reliance on particular monsters to build teams with (i.e. an inability to build a diverse mixture of teams). To be brutally honest, they’ve done that to themselves and they’re the problem with why the meta becomes stale.

I’m not even talking about myself here tbh. I am running a single awakened mythic in my current team (despite having like 10 or 11) and I am rocking an 80% WR and am ranked in top 100 (for now).
My comment was mainly in reference to the average user I see on discord or such. They are really struggling, if you will notice it. WRs around 55% are pretty average. I understand that some matchups will always be unfavourable, but the matchmaking system does need to improve.
I am not hating on P2W, at all, I am simply saying that, if you say a “meta” restriction hurts a top player more than an average player, that’s kinda wrong. And do you know why player target meta monsters? Because y’all (not you in particular) brainwash newbies into believing they’re the way. S tier farming is wayy too real.
I am not one of these players who only uses meta mons. I try to run some wacky and niche setups. But, generally speaking, I don’t think what I’m saying is very incorrect
I see this comment so much about topics like this. Bear in mind, when you see other people complaining on discord you don’t know what their situation actually is.
When the restriction list first came out and people complained it made team building difficult I ran a poll for how people felt it was restricting them. For the people who said it affected them badly I contacted them and was sent screenshots of their collections. In many cases they owned literally one monster in (1) and maybe 3 in (2), so it was basically stopping them from playing a single monster! When I say “many cases” I mean 80-90% of the cases were people being stupid in this kind of way.
So I think you’d find most people who have 55% win rate and saying they struggle with the restriction list are probably just unable to build good teams with the collection they have and they’re blaming it on not being able to use a small handful of their monsters.
I don’t believe that one bit. “Tier list” has been one of the most searched terms on the forum for the entirety of the game. “Top 10 mythics” is one of the most sought after YouTube videos. People do this in every game, they seek out the best stuff. This game stops you from playing all the best stuff the whole time and people can learn that pretty easily as they play because they’ll see the restriction list every season. You even have people in the community telling them “meta monsters get restricted, go for others and they won’t be restricted” as shown above.
That’s exactly my point though, the tier list does promote people to go for S tier mons. And yeah, while there are some who do this anti-meta thing, most don’t in my experience.
For the first part, I guess you’re right. I don’t know the exact situation of said players who are complaining, maybe they are really incapable
Daily Kill Count reduced to 20
Rank Kill Count Reduced to 200
With the introduction of “Run” button, it’s has been very hard to achieve 30 kills. Most high level players face instant run which is very annoying when you are aiming for the kill.
Or we get the number of kills+reinforcement when someone runs.
Please consider this @Dev_VKC
Simple solution is to make it 30 kills or 5 wins.
I want to play with the mythics I spent money/saved for a long time to get, otherwise what’s the point? I’m not even playing this season because I had enough of these lists being too generic.
Fixing the meta is the devs job. Restricting monsters is a lazy way of doing so. Buff weaker monsters, nerf OP monsters, look into broken strategies and fix the game on its core, don’t restrict monsters that people actually pay a lot of money for. Nobody cares if I play PVP or not this time, but you can tell some people are fed up with this rule and more will follow suit and PVP will suffer. If you think this sounds like the right move for the game, I can’t convince you otherwise.
ive just tried the new PvP for the first time. i am HR 230 so its understandable i will get some tough opponents but omg i didn’t know how many mythic users there are these days. i dont know how new players stand a chance. i won 1 match in 2 hours. 1 in 15 games.
This image might be of some interest. For the last 10 or so games, I have frontlines like this, some Nyx, some Gieh. Some even feature creative mythic usage with Aurordragon!
Some I have won, some I have lost. Ofc I won’t win every game that’s understandable. But now do you see my point? people with big collections give a damn about restrictions. If it wasn’t ranked I’d send SS of the teams I faced this rankand you’d see.
Now, if I could use my full collection, I’d steamroll 90% of these matches instead of only about 70%. (In the original season of new PvP without restriction, I didn’t play much but had a 90% WR of when I did play). I faced up against similar users then as well.
And some of the restrictions are simply silly. Onyxia is restricted?? Hazuki and Soral are but Vixen isn’t? Like wut. I am all for a rule that encourages creativity, I’d love to see it! But such a rule needs to be made. Current list ain’t the way boss
The devs did massively increase the amount of mythics restricted and those were all commonly used. (RIP onyxia) Most of the data the devs use for choosing which monsters to restrict comes from top players. Those types of players generally use meta or top tier stuff since that’s what wins games. Restricting a bunch of those guarantees many of those players will be affected quite a bit.
That also means the meta formed by the restrictions will always be changing from season to season and that’s probably the most amount of creativity they can realistically promote.
This part bugs me a little. Whenever someone increases their winrate, someone else’s winrate has to go down. There are always going to be a bunch of struggling players and the reason they’re struggling is almost always some mixture of a skill issue and not having a good collection.
This is the ‘FL’ now.
Fast Nyx/OoO proof FL.
To make good frontline today, U need awakened myth. From very fast to very slow it required myth.
If u Saw a player who can make good FL without myth but still reach good position, probably they are veteran player.
Leggies fl top 10? I don’t believe it.
2 season ago (before pvp 2.0) I reach top 9 with boosted Cw FL ( sir lancerat help for endgame
).
the link earth team i was using had no awakened mythics.
although i was handicapping myself by using link earth and im also very out of practice with PvP i am by no means a rookie player and i was expecting to win around 50% of the matches i played however the new matchmaking system doesn’t even allow for that. its go Mythic Spam or go home by the looks of things.
the oddest thing is that you level up in rank even when losing battle after battle. I’m in 2 minds about this. yes it helps players advance and get tier rewards however it also means they face stronger opposition which is problematic.
in the past (old pvp system) i have been able to utilise uncommon strategies and still make enough points to get the rewards while not having to play too seriously - i could have fun with teambuilding and use my link earth or link holy teams, my gummy dragons or the robot union team i had a lot of fun with about 6 months back. - now if i try to run these i feel like i will have very little chance to earn reward.
