I think I already stated it in the tier list thread. If we implement the community vote feature and as I said, KD and I will work something out, I really dont think we need a community tier list. Actually - and I know this will sound arrogant - there are so many dumb opinions about how strong a monster actually is. I mean we literally recently had buff requests for Carmilla or Cynthia in this forum. It’s good that KD functions as Kind of BS Gatekeeper and making sure the tier list can somehow provide reliable information about a monsters strength. All I am asking for is a way for the community to have a say when something seems really off. Without KD having the opportunity to wait it out by being stubborn. This would be fixed by the voting system and then everything is fine.
Personaly i feel like @Killerdog should just be allowed to do whatever he wants
He is the one who have put idk a few decades worth if work into this tier list thing so he should have a bigger say as the creater and sole maintainer no?
And tbh if he makes a mistake and says this monster bad when its acctuly kinda good why not just abuse that fact and have fun with a unknown monster that people refuse to pick up caus KD said it bad
My only addition would be to change the name of the tier list to something that dossent make it look like this is the word of god and everything on the list is perfect, caus lets be honest mistakes happend they are humen cant get it right everytime
Honestly here is what I say we do, we try this out and create a poll for about 5 mons on here people feel are not placed correctly and if nobody decides to vote then we can drops this entire discussion and keep things the way they are.
Some people are really passionate about what’s written down on paper here, which is why it’s come to this. I agree and I wish people would give me peace with the tier list but it’s true the tier list has a big influence over many players so it deserves proper input from more than just one person. I try my best to make it have all that input, but it’s neither clear from the outside how much community influence there is nor do I always do a great job of it.

Having votes on controversial placements seems like a pain since the community as a whole often overrates or underrates monsters because most of the players are kinda dumb (). I also remember some RISE members (probably just squinty tbh) complaining about killerdog plastering his name over all of his guides. I find it rather jarring to see them doing a complete 180 on this issue.
Earlier this month, I sent you my own tier list for the legendaries and you made a lot of adjustments based on that so I’m currently fine with the actual tiers too.
My personal opinion is that I’m way better at analyzing/predicting the meta than most players, including the vast majority of those currently typing on this thread so we wouldn’t need multiple tier lists that no one would care about. A tier list specifically emphasizing meta shifts would also be very different from the current one that tries not to be influenced too much by the monthly trends.
That’s why the new voting will be focused on Mons that seem to be really off in their placing on the Tier List. I won’t see this happening often. Simply in cases where it’s larger parts of community versus KD like recently with Onyxia or currently with Harleking

Yeah, the tier list is something done for so many games and it’s meant to be a single useful document for people. I don’t want it to be “mine”, even if I’m the person putting the time into it. I have no doubt having my name on it will open it to a lot of criticism, it’ll lose some authority and will make people look at me badly like I want to govern how everyone sees the power of monsters in the game… when the reality is I’m the one person who’s willing to put the time into sharing insight to try and help everyone understand and enjoy the game (in the form of a tier list).

He did i think also it would be better to make a group of 10-12 PvP freaks fr that kind of decisions rather than opening it to the entire community (especially fr mythics bcz there is always that personal bias towards it ).
That’s probably fine then. I was expecting to see a dozen polls popping up in the days following this tier list change but I wouldn’t mind if that’s not the case.
Another thing I’d like to add to this is that I genuinely couldn’t care less about having a poll system to overrule killerdog even if I am the most vocal about specific monster placements. There are usually only 5 or less monsters throughout the entire tier lists of mythics and legendaries that I strongly disagree on, and a good portion of them could be chalked up to personal biases. I wouldn’t want the tier list to always be a representation of the community’s view on monster placements anyway because frankly I think a bunch of players are really stupid when it comes to a few monster LMFAO
