I personally haven’t spent too much though dragon / hunter / neo series but there are other games that I’ve spent hundreds on because I KNOW what I’ll be getting.
I don’t want to risk $40 to find out I only got 1-3 useable monsters and rest of the monsters will be useless to me.
It’s just too big a gamble for the price, especially it being an iphone game, how many of us playing this game are millionaires? most are children/kids using their weekly allowance trying to just get that one legendary they wanted.
I should just spend $150 for 150 gems and 30 eggs? by the looks of people’s line-ups here on the forum, the chances are that you’ll end up with about 3-7 legendaries depending on how good/lucky you are, so even after spending A HUNDREDED AND FIFTY DOLLARS, you still have a long, long way to go probably even if you just want to collect HALF the monsters in this game. I can’t see myself spending any money on this at that rate… Dude, even in a game as large and polished as Hearthstone, a $150 investment will net you some nice number of legendaries.
You know how many fully-devloped games I can buy during steam sale with $150? (or even without sale)
I could even buy FFXIV + Expansion and add like 6 months of game time…
I’m not sure how this games egg/gem system can be changed for the better, OF COURSE the devs needs to make money but I along with many others I think feel that the price is just too damn high…?
It’s like… instead of trying to make all your money from top 5% of the rich players, why not from everyone?
If it was $30 for 30 eggs? I’ll probably buy some then maybe get more addicted and and then buy more in the future, who knows.
Let’s just say currently the developers are making (example prices)
sell each gem at $10 / 500 gem sales per month and make $5,000 / month OR
sell each gem at $1 or even $2 each gem / 5000 gem sales per month and make $5,000/$10,000 per month
Why can’t it be the latter? Are there not enough people purchase it even if it’s at low price? It’s not even like they’re tangible items that you have to constantly pump out from a factory.
Do not enough players play it? Are there not enough monster variety for it to be given out at that rate? did you experiment and find out people don’t spend money for it either way?
