OLD Tier List

Alright no worries, good to know it brings Duscy to HG because she’s quite tanky.

As I promised you, here is another one of my analysis to celebrate the festive season and boy do we have a wide variety of monsters to show off. This analysis will be split up into two parts; the first covering two SE’s and two mythics, and the second part covering five legendaries. So buckle up everyone; you’re in for quite the ride.

The first Super Epic on today’s list is Twighoul, a new evolution for the 1* monster Twigster and is radically different from its predecessor. It’s highly offensive moveset serves as a counter to protector monsters, with Guardian Execute automatically killing the monster and granting Twighoul a turn upon a successful kill. It also has the one use Demon Glare to land an extra kill, though it could easily be one of your monsters. So what do these moves lead up to? A single target bloodmove that requires three kills, just like Bloodbath. For what it does, it does pretty well but should there be a time where there are no protectors, then it’s pretty much dead weight for the most part. This monster screams metacounter like its partner in crime, but arguably not as useful outside of its designated role. Final rating: A for now, but will most likely drop to a B.

Now who is this partner in crime I mentioned? The other Super Epic for today, Megalodragon. Asides from its baby form having the best name in Neo Monsters history, this monster is packing quite an arsenal, with Sonic Strike serving as an ideal move to kill frontline monsters at the beginning of the match. RAW Assassinate serves as additionally salt in the wound for the recently deceased AP spam meta, though I’ve heard stories about the damage being a little pitiful. SOLO Bloodbite is a great sweeping move that helps keep shark-boy healthy, but the lack of Hold Ground dampens the move’s utility. As a matter of fact, it has no passives whatsoever. Coupled with its low HP and defense and you have the glassiest of glass cannons. Don’t get me wrong, for what it’s meant to do, it does a pretty great job, but it’s very likely that it’ll die early into the battle. So don’t be a Doodooshark and misuse it. Final rating: A

Now we go onto the first mythic of today, Deux X. It’s moveset is a little underwhelming, with a Survivor-Lifeflip Umlimited combo that’s held back by middle of the road stats. It does however have Double Counter Strike; a nice way to deal with dangerous Earth type monsters like Canishogun and Dracorosa. But the important feature on this monster is it’s passive Skip Ban, something that’s utterly useless in PvE, but immensely powerful in PvP. Preventing your opponent from skipping gives you a large amount of control over the match that most monsters dream of wielding, and with Life Flip Unlimited on it, you’ll be able to keep it alive for a solid amount of time. Overall, this is a more PvP oriented monster, but it’s one that I can see getting a lot of use, especially with the decrease in cost for mythics. Final rating: C+ for PvE, A+ for PvP, bordering on an S.

Our second mythic is one that has what’s arguably one of my favorite designs in the game, Don Rilla. What’s noteworthy about this monster is that it’s one of the very, very few mythics that are viable in its unawakened form, with Trickster being the other one. It’s got three moves that deal critical damage depending on various circumstances, meaning more often then not you’ll get plenty of chances to kill something. The fact that it has the wonderful passive combination of Hold Ground and Sleep Immunity is an extra treat for everyone to enjoy. However, it’s due to this that it’s not recommended to awaken it as all you’ll get for an extra three cost is some more stats and a Secret Skill than is pretty meh. Overall, King Kong’s Pimp brother is a must have for your team, no matter the build. Final rating: S

Catch you all in part 2.

Why are you giving analysis on Scyberite.

The monster has yet to be tested. On paper he does seem doodoo but when you think about the possibilities that he can create i can see him kind of op.

1-He combines amazingly well with bloom. Where bloom with pots outspeed and gain shield then overwatch and tsunami to kill two monsters removing the opponent monsters that have overwatch.

2-Combines well with void and atra where you can remove one monster from the game then remove him.

3- ccombines well with whitetitan and the blacktitan.

I did promise to deliver the analysis as soon as the new legends get released. That aside, you raise some good points in your post so I’ll cut out the part with Scyberithe and wait a little later before some more testing has been done. However, I am confident that my analysis on the two legends are spot on based on an overview of their movesets.

Let’s start off part 2 with a monster I already talked about, Lionheart. Despite the fact that I still believe it’s mythic form needs a defensive passive, I’ve grown to appreciate it a little more. Confident Strike at 67 speed is no laughing matter, especially in its mythic form. Not to mention that Natural Selection is a powerful move that despite some misgivings with it, is perfectly serviceable for it. And while some people wish that it was a piercing move, I feel that it might be too overpowered due to the fact that it heals the user for a substantial amount. One team I can see this monster getting a lot of use in is a team based on reviving monsters with Auro and Atra, as I’m sure that a few users can attest to. Overall, I’d say it’s balanced for the moment. It may get trounced hard by poison, but at the very least it isn’t a busted legend, otherwise the forum would cry for a nerf within a few days. Final rating: B or B+

Our second legend for today is Pandamonium, and it’s one of the worst monsters I’ve ever seen. Featuring a complete mess of a moveset that’s meant to be tactical, it ends up flopping harder than a dead fish. You could use Exhausting Sleep to put itself and an enemy monster to sleep, but you can’t poison the Po-wannabe for the sake of a sick combo, due to Poison Immunity. You could stun an enemy monster for a decent amount of time, but you also fully restore their health. You could also poison the enemy, but at the cost of a substantial amount of HP. It also has a Secret Skill that kills itself for a team turn, which is nice since you’d want this thing off your field in an instant, but it has a hefty 200sec restriction after it’s first move, which is about how long it would take for your opponent to kill it before dying of laughter for seeing someone try and use it. The only good thing it has is Killer Immunity, which is a fantastic passive all things considered, but it just means you’ll have to put up with this thing for longer. Yeah, you can tell that I don’t like it. Am I judging it too harshly? Maybe, but it’s a complete joke of a legend and I pity those who got it instead of Angel or Cani. Final rating: D

Now what’s the best way to wash the taste of a bad monster out the mouth? Than with an up and coming critter, that’s what. Whitetitan is an interesting monster that some have questioned it’s merit, while others have embraced it’s quirky moveset. This thing is a 90 speed monster with Retreat, meaning it can get it’s job done and bugger off to end of your team, with no second restriction whatsoever. It’s main passive is Straggler’s Blessing, a passive that gives a turn to the monster with the highest seconds on the field, saving a Stun-Absorbing monster from becoming dead weight. Keep in mind, this passive includes your opponents monsters as well, so I wouldn’t use this thing in a stun-heavy team. True Hit serves as additional salt in the would for protectors, while SOLO Bloodcrave is an excellent sweeping move due to its speed, and how easy it is to set it up. I’ll admit that I haven’t used this monster before, but if what @Saitama says is right, then this is one monster that can pull its fair share of weight. Final rating: A+

Now comes the part where I jump the gun, my favorite. And what better way to start off than with Whitetitan’s weaker brother, Blacktitan. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a effective sweeper in poison teams, but it’s passive, Straggler’s Doom isn’t as good as Straggler’s Blassing. Granted, it does clear up any stunned monster that’s acting as dead weight, so it’s not completely useless. The problem is that it doesn’t count as a charge for SOLO Bloodthirst, meaning that it’s a fair bit slower than its brother. It does have Retreat as well, so you could always send it back to the end and set up any endgame poison mons you might have lying around. This is one monster that could shine like it’s brother, so we’ll see how well it does in the end. Final rating: B

And what better way to finish my gun jumping than with arguably one of the best sweepers in the game, Scorpiogeist? Seriously, I would give up Rina just to sleep with this thing, it’s that amazing. An 80 speed poison monster with RAW Poison Massacre and RAW Double Poison Eater, both at 100sec while boasting Auto Poison All and Stun Converter, on top of Toxic Strike which is an infinite-use Detox Strike and amazing attack? This is the stuff of dreams, I tell you. The fact that a poison monster has this much sweeping capability is something to drool over, with the buff to RAW making it even more desirable. If there is one monster I would recommend dropping money for, it’s this critter over here. I know I’m tempted to do so. Final Rating: S+; I don’t care if its too high, this thing’s a dream come true for a poison fan like me.

Edit: I deleted my analysis on Scyberithe, as upon reading Mr. X’s comment, I jumped the gun on that one hard. That said, I hope you all have a wonderful Halloween.

I think

Blacktitan is A or A+ he even has potential to be S+

I think the passive not counting as a kill is due to a bug.

When the green dinosaur enters the field and does his aggressive enterance any monster killed counts for him as slayerbane would be usable aganist him.

And why i think this monster is really good.

you can play this monster at 5th in a fast team and combine him with scorpion for 3 kills at 80 speed which is insane.

Another combo is with stun.
Where you can get rid of any stun absorber in the game including that hidden bloom.

Gavebane uses his stun pluse then you can backstab him which will kill se for a 16 cost monster and charges your monster.

The combo can also be used with null and void to kill off bloom and open the path for void and charger her aswell.

Its like death revenge back in the old days but this time its not random.

You can also just use void and very fast monsters and it will act like death revenge back in the old days.

Great analysis, we agree pretty closely on most things. I think you were a bit harsh on Megalodragon, that thing is a brilliant SE sweeper. We don’t hate on Searguard and Scarleguard too much despite their minimum defence, health and no defensive passives. It’s got lovely killing moves and in the front line can counter some of the harshest front lines out there.

Your Scyberithe review looked mostly focused on the nerfs made to it, one of the problems when we get to see a monster before it is finally released! With swift twin death sentence and power slash (would do 3-3.5k damage) this monster would’ve been insane… killing 3 monsters by the time duel ends. Duel has crazy combo potential because it is so reliable (even hits past stealth). The monster itself can’t get kills too easily but if you can get them it is a reasonable sweeper. Might be good to kill it off if you’re optimising your team.

The two titans look interesting, probably combo heavy more than good for much else. If Mr.X is right about Blacktitan’s passive meant to count as a kill then they could both work as nice sweepers. I like their design, even if they’re a bit wacky and hard to use.

I’m glad everyone is as excited for Scorpiogeist as me. It’s insanely powerful and with this high speed stuff we’ve got lately there are nice combos. Here’s one for you to drool over:
FL = Scorpiogeist, Pumpking, Whitetitan, Flutterdrake Iris (blue)
5th = Blacktitan
6th = Stun counter / Give turn
7th = Stun counter / Give turn (?)
Flutterdrake Iris (91%) does accelerate team, Whitetitan (90%) does retreat, toxic entrance happens and Iris probably gets killed from straggler’s doom bringing in the 6th monster, Scorpiogeist (80%) does raw poison massacre, Pumpking (58%) does poison massacre, Blacktitan does retreat bringing in the 6th/7th monster.

This entrance control bringing in monsters to 6th or 7th gives loads of flexibility in what you can run there to make it more reliable. You can even run Terrordragon instead of Pumpking for a weaker poison massacre but lower TU. The general plan is to sweep through half the enemy team and hope you hit some stun to get another poison massacre on Scorpiogeist.

I look forward to making my two big posts on the update to this tier list. Sorry everyone for taking so long!

Is actually D tier I wounder what the devs where thinking when they made him.

Its like a middle finger to everyone that got him and didnt get angelion. And i ended up getting him twice.

It’s definitely the most gimmicky legendary we’ve got. High versatility but too all over the place it doesn’t support any team properly and each move is “balanced” too hard with a negative effect. It would’ve been more fun as a super epic I think.

I wouldn’t say his moves are balanced at all hes the most doodoo monster ive seen the type that makes mecha moji seems op.

Maybe cycloraz come back, dracosa can’t destroy that team

If Mr.X is right about Blacktitan’s passive meant to count as a kill then they could both work as nice sweepers.

Unfortunately his passive doesn’t count as kill which is sad cause his passive is his special power basically!!if so…he would be indeed at least A+ rank and a great sweeper!!

@Mr.X nope, I don’t believe it’s meant to. It feels to me like titan’s passive is similar in function to death roulette, so I just did a quick test and found that death roulette does NOT count as a kill. I could be wrong about the intent of dr and sd having similar function, but eh. If the devs decide to make it a thing regardless of whether I’m right or not, then good on BT I guess.

The dinosaur passive count tho.

It would need clarification on its mechanic.

I put “balanced” in quotations because I wasn’t actually meaning it (referring to the negative effects as somehow balancing the skills that are not anything too OP anyway). Sorry if that didn’t come across.

Tbh I think it’s right that it doesn’t count as a kill. The monster would be seriously good otherwise, like a more reliable Zeuswyrm but not with the stun immunity or versatility.

Yeah, Black Titan’s passive should count as a kill.

Well the plus side of it right now is it will not trigger any revenge passives. It’s a Tortogeist killer

So while I was beginning to click the Reply button, I didn’t realize that I nearly clicked the Flag button, so if one does show up then I sincerely apologize for my error.

That said, welcome to a new segment I call ‘Analyzing the Analysis’, where I go over some of my analysis and fix up any mistakes I made as well as give my two cents on any monsters that may have been buffed in the time I was gone. This’ll be shorter than my standard fare so consider it a light read if you will.

What better way to start off than with the elephant in the room, Scyberite? My analysis on this thing was so poor that I deleted it out of shame and went back to the testing board, where my stance on it changed from negative…to in the middle. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still a little upset that it no longer has Power Slash, but considering that it would’ve done 3000-3300 damage according to Killerdog’s math, it’s understandable why they would want to tone it down a bit. Still, as a mythic you’d expect its sweeping power to have more oomph to it than a legend, and the rest of its offensive moves are pretty meh. However my biggest flaw was ignoring the amount of crazy stuff you can do with Duel, be it setting up your Survivor/Novablast monsters, granting the Overwatch status to any charged sweeper you have, and even being able to bring your stunned monsters back into play. And then there’s the fact that it’s second form is arguably better due to having RAW Bloodthirst which is good for bypassing any pesky protectors. Granted, it only gains Stun Immunity upon awakening but there’s plenty of way to work around it. Overall, I still think it’s the weaker of they two new mythics, but that’s a sheer testament to how powerful Don Rilla is. Revised Rating: A, if only for the combos with Duel.

Djinzar: A while ago, I said that this monster is one of the most underwhelming Super Epics in the game. Now that it has Unmovable, I’ve began to appreciate this fellow a lot more. Unmovable fixed what was arguably this monster’s greatest weakness, turning it from a gimmicky liability, to a solid sweeper that, although a bit slow makes up for it by providing some nice support for its allies. Kudos to the devs for giving this monster a much needed buff.

Those are the only two I can think of for now, but as time go I might find other monsters I judged poorly.

So, there are two A.S. Soldiers per element now.
