To be fair, I think we all disregarded that lone factor when we first looked over the monster. Comment aside, this is one of the list evaluations where I almost agree with all that you presented. Personally, I feel that both Megamummat and Thorhoof have their PvP ranks a little high for my liking, if only because they can be dealt with rather easily. Don’t get me wrong, I can see why you put them that high, but that’s just my two cents I put in.
Thats the good thing of this current ■■■■ force skip. You don’t need to do turns at all, just let the monster force skip and you’ll only skip 130tu
Edit: didn’t read ai
I actually ended up putting monsters in tiers far closer to what you said that I imagined. Despite my comments on your reviews earlier, when actually looking at other monsters in the tiers and seeing where they fit they ended up slightly different to where I envisioned some of them.
I know exactly what you mean about Megamummat and Thorhoof with their PvP ranking. However, the SE tier list for PvP is very different to the legendary and mythic list. Basically only A+ or higher have viable use in strong PvP teams. Below A+ it’s kind of working out how much the monsters have to offer. Both these monsters have high attack stat with zealous attack, which puts them into the low end of mediocre then Thorhoof has a bit more to add. They’re far from viable but you can think of the D-A range of the SE list as for the newer players to work out which ones might be more useful in a team for them. A lot of the SEs simply don’t do a lot in PvP that it’s easy to get into the B or higher range.
Don’t be excited too early. Devs will fix AI i’m sure.
I love how out of the update to the tier list everyone focuses on the Bundleblazer re-evaluation XD
I’m glad people are happy with the other stuff. I thought pushing Kuraokami up the list might create some complaints.
Probably because not so many has him lol especially awakon version which is also another you mentioned why he deserved the rise in the list.
We don’t care about kami since we don’t have it.
Kaerukenshi
Is no doubt a S if not S+.
I would pair him with tardi and a third sweeper with double bloodcrave and basically abuse this loophole in the game.
I would go with something like
3 headed shark for the link stealth and purify
Tardi
Zib
A stun absorb
Kaerukenshi 5th
Basically its almost impossible to kill tardi as he will be shielded and stealthed with makes a loophole in the game. Soon enough players will exploit this loophole. And am guessing Kaerukenshi will get nerfed and no compensation to the players.
@Unown told you
No, it’s not op… you have just used the same team since forever and expect it to beat everything… there are heaps of counters to that exact fl
I just think its a very good combo and kd is under estimating the monster.
He is quite bias towards stun converters and when an actual really good monster pops up that does not have stun converter or immune he rates it below what it deserve. As shown before where he rates Wraithost and cani alor higher from what they deserve.
Kaerukenshi is no doubt a S or S+ monster stand alone. Paired with tardi and you have a nice infinite loophole where the counters are so little.
BB and random sleep entrance is pretty much the only way to actually counter it.
Any slow team would definitely lose the lead to the loophole.
Here is my opinion on what should be changed
1.Centaureon moves up to S .
2.gyomari moves down to B+.
3-Prismaryx moves down to A
4-Gryphking moves down to B+
5-Kaerukenshi moves up to S+
6-Canishogun moves down to B
7-Sanctistag move up to S
8-Shivadragon moves down to B
9-Deodragon moves down to B
10-Maggatsuoh moves up to S
11-Hellfox moves down to B+
12-Raizen moves down to B+
13-Regalion moves up to S
14-Tardigrenade to moves up to A
15-Capybaragon moves up to A+
Canishogun with two earth starters in fl are deadly.
Not infinite. Link dual gt is 3 times use. And there are cyclos, poison, monsters between 44% and 78% that can remove stealth that counter it easily. Let alone camo monsters.
Cent is definitely S tier, but I disagree on gyo going lower. I find it quite powerful
Long in the past you were very bias towards stun immune monsters. If something wasn’t stun immune you would literally go on about how useless it was, because you always ran stun in your team. Now you’re running protectors you’re calling stun immune less important and rating other monsters higher like Centaureon.
Keeping your team protected from stun in PvP is still very important, among other things. I try to strike a balance between everything when rating monsters in this tier list so it stays true no matter what the current meta might say certain monsters should be.
However, thanks for highlighting a few of the monsters which I should consider moving around. A few of those are monsters I’d like to move, but after a few hours working on the update I wasn’t in the mood for checking everything. I’ll refer to this list you’ve written next time I do an update.
As for Kaerukenshi, I think in a link water team where you can properly utilise him he’s S+. However, in a general link water team he’s S and overall I think more like A+. He’s just not quite as OP as he looks on paper, because things need to line up and link is not quite as flexible as you’d like it unless you’ve got almost every monster in the game. A number of link monsters are similarly positioned, where they’re one tier higher in a good link team and two tiers higher in a link team that can utilise them very well. The tier list is all about trying to strike a good balance between everything rather than rating every monster given their best setting possible… that just wouldn’t result in a good tier list (e.g. killer monsters would be up at the top).
I had always said any monster that is going to be introduced that does not have any some sort of stun protection will be useless (around second or third pvp )and suggested that stun should get rework as i had said that introducing more and more stun counters/immunies/convertors you are killing the stun archetype thats why i was rotating for a rework you simply cant balance it out.
Now lets see how the devs have backed up my statments over the past months since i said it around second or third pvp nearly every egg that was featured had monster with stun protection.
(Sakura, bloom,draco)
(Inferino,magma,lava)
(Cani,lion)
(Maggatsuoh,wriathost)
(Null,aegis,lion)
+(current egg)
It was quite clear the devs understood how powerful stun was and if they had not done what they did the meta will still had been stun.
instead of reworking the mechanic they introduced so many monsters with stun protection in order to nerf the archetype where the only monster is currently used is nightlord because he is more rewarding then other shockers and oak since he is a controlled stun.
Tardi is good because of frog, otherwise it’s not that great !!
It’s good now after 2 buffs but it needs support alongside . It’s B at best
Well, take it all how you will but monsters with stun protection are better in PvP. It’s typically one of the stronger passives to have, hence why I give preference to them. I think it’s worthy to note that I pushed down Valzareign and Leogeist months ago while people were still wanting to call them S+, as well as putting Infernicorn lower despite it having stun converter. It’s not like I’m putting them all S or higher just because of the passive. When Infernicorn came out it seemed to be lots of people’s first stun converter and many went a bit nuts saying how good it was because of that passive.
Anyway, I will do my best to keep a balanced perspective on everything. Also, I’d like to make it clear that list of what you’d change in the list is incredibly useful… it’s exactly the kind of comment I want to see from people here occasionally. Managing well over 500 monster positions is a bit ridiculous and things will no doubt be wrong with time, like Wraithhost being massively wrong because I didn’t move it since my takeover of this thread a year ago. People pointing out particular monsters that my eyes skim over each time is very helpful.
I can help you out when it comes to switching monsters around, if you want. I have a few tier changes that I feel should happen. I feel it’ll be a nice discussion.
I always welcome those posts. It’s what I want other people to write here more than anything else.
