New event - Defense of Verosia

@Dev_VKC Thank you for introducing new events!
I was surprised that there are 3 Legendary Potions in the event reward. With the introduction of PvP restrictions, I think it’s a very good thing to have more grit to get them.

What I want you to improve is I want something good when my defensive team wins. This is because if the situation remains as it is, nothing will happen to me whether the defensive team wins or loses. (In other words, the defensive team is just preventing other players from scoring points…)

The name of the event is “Defense of Verosia”, so I hope something good happens when the defensive team wins.

I think that you have a new event is very great news. I highly appreciate the effort you and the whole team spend into the game development.

I’m not sure how nice the new event is yet, I’ll better decide after it’s over, but I like the idea that you have to think in the point of view of the AI, that’s new. Also the 2 wave form. And I’m not sure about the difficulty yet, maybe an easy mode would be required or maybe not, since now I cannot say.

But I feel the rewards are a bit strange here. It feels to be grinding mainly gems and potions. But events that give gems, usually can be used to fill tickets with the earned gems. Here you use tokens, so you cannot refill them.

I would personally like if you would give a few ingredients, that will definitely help and motivate newer players.

Please also note, that the majority of the posters here in the forum are players with strong accounts and high playing experience. Please don’t forget that the majority of the players in the game are not that level.

Please try to produce or adjust fairly balanced events like the Whales Treasure or Mythic Collosseum, or the event with the easy mode.

Try to keep the ingredient rewards in the fair range and adjust the extreme high buff section for ‘ranking purposes/gems/rare gems’ only (like it is in most events now).

This is not a criticism, I just like to avoid frustrating events or events that give you too few motivation to play.

I’d rather have more Ocarinos and Legendary pots/Legendary tickets than gems. I know many new players will disagree with this statement, though.

And like @SHIKAOTOKO excellently pointed out, would be fantastic if the defending team mattered more, because it’s way more satisfying to succeed in building a team others have a hard time beating rather than winning battles against the AI. The teams I’ve come across have been pretty much identical to those in SCB/Biweekly because Biweekly uses player teams.

So far I have beaten every team with ease. I enthusiastically wait for the moment when I come across a team full of Mythics, those are the most fun because you learn the most from them and it also feels great to beat a team like that!

Many events have 1 Omegamid/Vorabook/Mouth and 1 Ocarino at an average difficulty. Plus monster and legendary potion as a more difficult goal.

But this event got 3x legendary potion (which is nice), but no Mid/Mouth/Ocarino.

Maybe even the Alterramid, which is very seldom nowadays, could be a price. I remember DonT89 requested more of them. And to tell the truth, I feel unhappy using such a seldom ingredient to evolve a 4* monster that I probably won’t use.

About the defense bonus, Dev_VKC mentioned earlier that after they see how the event goes, it’ll probably be integrated in a way. I rather have the defense bonus only at the 2nd event, than a broken feature.

Why to even bother showing defense team win rate if players face weakened monsters with 2k hp that die to any aoe :roll_eyes:

a question @Dev_VKC - does the winrate of the defence team apply equally to both teams? or does it go up 50% if one team wins and the other loses?

is it possible to add a feature in future to separate defence team 1 and defence team 2 winrates so we can see which team is and isn’t working well?

The event just turned into UC 2.0 as expected :rofl:

I would have loved if the event was 1attacking team vs two player made defending teams, in waves, similar to the Ben and Abe showdown tower battle.

Also give a separate section of rewards for defending team wins/ winrate. I love the idea of players making sweaty pve teams but there’s nearly no incentive right now.

It would definitely challenge the pve people more to have to use the same team with the remaining units from the first battle to beat the second team, and It would be completely different than any other event by far.

this is a good idea but could only really be manageable if the teams weren’t superbuffed.
it would also help players with smaller collections focus their attention on one attacking team as opposed to having to split their power. currently is ok for players with larger collections but those without options suffer.

another option could be to always have the defending teams with more monsters than the attacking ones. (again avoiding UC buffs)

you just put any payback killer with GT in your front ant you win all of the battles

Make the buffs scale slowly then, and make some top tier rewards once the buffs get over a certain multiplier. I just think it would be far more enjoyable and challenging to have to create one “super team” rather than two good ones.

You could also restrict the defense team building somehow, like 2 DR per team and only 1 cloning/duplication unit per team, so it forces variety and doesn’t allow for cheesy DR spam

Guys I do see most of teams formed with death revenge strategy either petrify revenge, payback revenge or death revenge. Suggest some good monsters that can overcome these revenge (I do know some monsters like Ankara and also some other but don’t remember their exact name like bird type monster with rapid entrance, yellow as soldier, nullifying strike monster like FD Maeve, Shivana – are there any other monsters that I ignored with nullifying effect)…

as soon as you hit the 50k barrier it becomes almost unplayable against certain things thanks to the sudden buff.

the worst thing is the ticket recharge rate. (plus the fact there is only 8 tickets)
because the event is so difficult after 50k rating i would be very surprised if anyone manages to reach the icon target if the buffs continue to increase (without spamming maggatsuoh of course).

since it becomes so difficult to get a win could you consider increasing the speed at which the tickets recharge @Dev_VKC? since there aren’t rankings it shouldn’t affect people’s schedules as much as PvP or UC/IC does. (ie no staying up to get the final ticket played)

i say this as someone who has been top 50 in UC and IC on multiple occasions and I have a large collection which is good against the normal things you see in buffed - DR/Revival/Clones.
This is too difficult as things stand.

How much does the buff increase at level 50? I’m at level 43 right now and it’s just now slightly above normal levels?

“noticeably” is the best way to describe it. probably about as much as balancion.

things start one-shotting more. and dont die to bloodcrave etc without multiple charges.

problem is this is at 50k - you need 200k for icon
maybe it will be easier once we can use more monsters.
