I can say that I have had 0 problems with magmarinus in pvp. You get him low before he has a kill and all he can do is kill himself.
Is SS needs a damage nerf it can one shot easely 2 of my guys
My azra just cannibalize 1 guy and This happens nextâŚhow this guy can do this when other slayerbane guys need at least 2 or more deaths to actually kill? Plus with the speed he have? Good job devs as allways .I.
Nerf is damage to the same level as prisma and he will be good
Oh nooo a counter to azra what are we gonna dooo
Neerrrrrrfffff
Worry bro but its a no, prisma can use as much dual slayer that he can while magma can only use it once hence the damage so no.
Monster that can kill some monsters easily should not come with good defense (stun immune + HG) or (HG + poison immune)
Keep magma becomes super agressive with his secret and low tu sweeper. But remove his HG so he is not hard to be killed.
I hope The devs will make new assasinate monster with excessive force. With double stealthbane
How long have you been playing again?
Repent combo with hold ground as standard moves is stupid. Jingle dragon, stratus, and Dusi need SS to totally regain health. And JD Dusi require 100% health to be good sweepers. Stratus requires an absurd amount of PvP time to charge.
Gear is the only thing I can think of that rivals these talents and even he has no reliable way to quickly charge blood fury short of setting up a quick HG kill with blood thirst.
Magma drops in and just gets to killing. Get it to hold ground and it just repents. And paired with a healer of some form, good Lord youâre gonna have a bad time.
Can it be dealt with? Yes, under the right circumstances. But if you dont have a poison up to bat, or if the enemy has a GT or a healer, your done.
TLDR; the self healing as a standard move (not ss) paired with hold ground, when it sweeps so quick and easy is what makes it OP in my book.
You do know that once repent is used on a monster its kill count goes back to 0?
You guys can say all you want but this guy needs a nerf
-.- this monster is fine . He doesnât need a nerf. Thereâs just lots of cry babies here.
That or just a few rich/lucky boys who doesnt wanna see is new op toy nerfedâ:sob:

And people wonder why I despise nerf threads; they devolve into petty squabbling on both sides.
How the heck is magma op? Dual slayerbane is only 1 time use and finishing snap has a hard condition to follow. The main moves are random so you cant kill what is needed to kill. Random killing is equal to killing all 4 at once, main thing is you cant control the game. You need to stop, magma is dealable
I dont want this thread becomes pretty squabbling. so letâs argue/discuss by using rational comments not emotional comments.
I dont want to say that i have the most correct opinion. or dont want everyone here feels he has the most correct opinion.
The reason I canât let magma is because he is fastest sweeper and in other side he is great to survive. look at azra or delugazar. they are great sweepers but they are not great to survive. we can stun azra or delu or kill them in one shot.
RNG is not reason to keep magma like that. look at stratus. he has RNG move one-on-one. stun immune and HG. also healing move like magma. but he need 320 secs to sweeping with 130tu. or kamishogun, RNG sudden death that often kill himself.
I think itâs a very fair point that if you donât have great monsters yourself then Magma is a nightmare to deal with. You need to have some good damage potential or to be able to deal with the rest of their monsters easily so you can focus on Magma. Leave Magma alone and it begins killing off your team way too quickly, which is the trouble some people are having.
The initial move is used 50s after it enters the field and can take out two key monsters of yours. That puts you on the backfoot then you need to gain some damage potential again to bring its health down, let it repent, then bring the health down once again so itâs stuck. If youâve got a great team then thatâs feasible but when youâve also got to handle their 3 other monsters it can be hard to gain your footing again.
In my opinion I think the SS simply sets up the monster too well. It gives too much value early on and is very hard to stop. Delaying the use of this skill by putting a restriction â50s from first turnâ would very easily make Magma better to deal with and possibly more balanced.
Btw someone said about how the SS is one-time use so it needs to be strong. The SS of Cyclozar (swift toxic killer) dealt huge damage on release, something like 18k. I felt this made perfect sense because it was one-time use so needed to guarantee a kill on a poison monster but it later got hit by two nerfs that pulled it down to standard damage so now it doesnât guarantee a kill on all poison monsters even in PvP. I expect that the Devs will continue doing the same here to Magmaâs SS but personally I hope they put a time restriction on it instead.
And his health goes back to full. And then he immediately thrashes your team with his next turn.
I agree the randomness can potentially make him a liability, but so often you have 4 monsters on the field because you need all 4 of them to fully realize a strategyâs potential. So hes still lethally disruptive.
But back to my point, second wind is a SS. Or lifeflip self is a relatively high TU move, that you have to gamble on to maximize its potential.
Repent should be his SS.
Cyclozarâs ss was nerfed too much coz it one shotted searguard which is kinda funny, it should reliably one shot all poison monsters. If you guys really wanna change magma then fine swap repent and dual slayerbane, adjust dual slayer to deal same damage as those like prisma then make repent 1 time use and instant
You guys are going to ruin Magma
Yeah that was the first nerf, then a second nerf came and reduced it to be exact the same strength as other killer moves. They couldâve just reduced the damage modifier on the uncharged version to deal with the Rexkong/Searguard one-shot issue to be honest.
When he first came out I was very happy to disregard his ârandom hittingâ moves as not great. However, in practice itâs exactly as Boilertribe says. Magma may not kill that one critical target but he kills so frequently and relentlessly that he causes a lot of disruption to your team, ultimately having a similar effect to killing key targets at a slower rate. Finishing snap is also an insanely good move for killing off the key targets which your other three monsters hit⌠30TU is literally nothing.
Please know that Iâm still of the mind Magma shouldnât get a nerf. Heâs a top-tier sweeper, thatâs all. I just think that he might qualify for one when you look at how he can massacre and itâs so hard to stop the initial outburst.
