Never had a lordsreign use kbn on me, if it did then still screwed, titanomoth can get rid of most of the annoying monsters (Aegis, Bitter, & other hg monsters) and you gotta admit, there are more tinanomoths than lordsreigns used in pvp. Lords is also helpless especially with stuff like drako and auro that love spamming p mist.
Once again, that listing I put with Lordsreign above Titanomoth was for PvE, not PvP. Also, I know that Titanomoth is the more popular choice by people. It’s worth noting that Lordsreign hasn’t been released in a long time so many people don’t have him (I think I’m right in saying that). In PvP you can make arguments for either one and I’ve listed them both as S+. From my personal testing I’ve found that the double hit is more often the better one to have but that might have just been from the particular teams I used them in. For PvP they are definitely very close in value and Titanomoth can work very nicely in some combos. I think I will always have them in the same tier for PvP and Lordsreign will sometimes creep into one tier higher for PvE.
Ya I think they’re equal. KBN is immensely useful. Thats my favorite use for Stag, too. But in the poison meta you gotta give mad props to Titan as purify is cluuuuutch.
Interesting point about stun not being that important… First of all good for you people with 50+ legends to say that “quite many legendaries are stun immune and thus SE protectors are unnecessary”. I can see that coming from an Angelion owner
Secondly in my experience a 160 sec stun will totally turn the tide of the battle and will most likely get you a loss, if the person with the shocker has even the slightest team building skills. It has won me the battle many times from a losing position.
Yes I’m an Angelion owner and yes I have 50+ legendaries. However, as a free player I’ve also spent two years doing PvP without these things. I’m not here to argue personally.
I completely respect the fact that shockers can turn the tide of games and by having regular stun absorbers in your team (the SE protectors being a prime choice) it almost nullifies the risk. I have a couple of shockers in my main PvP team as well as Malwing and they’ve won me many matches. All I was trying to put forward is that it’s not so clear-cut as the community will often make it. There are many big downsides of using the SE protectors like if they get stunned before they use protect they become horrible dead weight on your team and, with that in mind, I regularly punish players who use too many by leaving a couple in play which are stunned to oblivion. Once they’re in that position they can have a shocker enter the field and it’s no issue for me at all.
Please try to be open to perspectives rather than jumping in to insult me and simply reiterate what you’ve always been told and known to be the case (insult is a strong word, not quite what I mean). We can all learn something from others and I’m someone who likes to mess about with things that aren’t in the meta to see what works and what doesn’t. Believe me, I find out a lot of stuff goes horribly wrong and not how I hope but occasionally I make a discovery. Stun protection is a core part of the game, especially in PvP, so I’ve spent lots of time testing the minimums of what you need to fight against people who use stun well.
EDIT: Not saying I’m completely right, but I’ve messed about and found things aren’t quite as clear-cut as many seem to think. I’d actually love to have others giving opinions on this like if we could get some great players to not use any SE protector/absorbers for a while to see how things are.
Nope! My way or the highway. Stun protectors required at 4,8,12 and maybe 16. Any other way youre crusin for a bruisin. Now get off my lawn.
But in all seriousness I do find myself in a bad way if I run less than 2 stun protectors.
But quite often the best stunners will simply kill or KB my stun protection and Im screwed anyway lol.
I didn’t mean to insult even though I admit that my message has a bitter tone. I’m totally open to new ideas but when people like me who don’t have access to legends such as Angelion read this post they might think similarly. I’ve seen so many confident replies to SCB quests: “oh but you only need both fairies, luna&
Sol and Dusicyon to complete this quest!” I hope you understand
Preach it!
I love having a little bit of knockback in my team for messing people up with stun. I feel so evil when I do it! With Freezecobra so often in front lines right now I wait until a SE protector/absorber enters the field (usually not too far back) before hitting them with stun and making it a 4v2. It’s times like that I feel like stun absorb is a curse rather than a buff.
Interestingly… have any of you seen how OP Tortogeist is before evolution? It’s 8 cost with the same ridiculous passive, protect teammates and NO stun absorb. It’s basically stronger than the evolved form! Being stunned before it uses protect is one of its few problems, which that version doesn’t have.
I do understand! Believe me the last thing I want to do is be like that!! When talking top-level PvP you have to assume people have a reasonable collection of strong legendaries but it’s bad to assume any particular ones or a particular combo/group of them. Outside of top-level PvP I try not to assume anything but it does make theory crafting easier if you assume people have a couple of sweepers, a small collection (4-6) of the regular egg pool and a few decent super epics. It takes time to reach that point but things have to be valued in the right setting rather than stand-alone all the time, which is why monsters like Aurodragon is crazily powerful for PvE even though a newer player may want a decent sweeper far more.
P.S. You hit a sore point for me mentioning Dusicyon. I want that holy wolf so badly, I am sad whenever I see someone get it!
lords and titan are both in rare egg…
